I found the obstacle avoidance on the Qrevo series to be pretty disappointing. Switched to Dreame L40 and have been very happy. They almost never grab a cord.

I think Roborocks are great, and you are likely to get a great robot if you stick w the brand. Buy the best one you can comfortably afford. I really liked the Qrevo line, but they were the MaxV Ultra. The S5V has cut a few features, but for the price is still a great robot.

Q revo. Which.... give the stats table might not make sense, but its the most reliable of the three, which i've tested.

Still... there are a few gems worth looking at, as more expensive models drop under this threshold. *If I were buying at this price point, I'd get:* If you're more concerned about a mop, get the 3i. (its great at both, to be clear, but it has the best mop of the bunch). I really like the 3i brand, they're not new, they've been making robots for other companies for years. The G10 is stripped down from premium models, but it had the same sweeper>roller design that is so effective on the higher end models. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* If you've got a smaller place, or a place with many floor objects, try a Switchbot. Because they're so small, they can get between chair legs and make a small radius around things. Switchbot just doesn't get enough attention, IMO. Lots of people purchased the [K10+ Pro](https://lifehacker.com/tech/switchbot-k10-plus-robot-vacuum-review) on my recommendation during Prime Day and have posted about how happy they are. The 11 made the tower smaller and improved some other specs, but is mostly the same model. The perfect apartment, studio, or office vac. Performs spectacularly well as a vacuum, particularly given the price and stats, but it is ONLY a vacuum. I, personally, do not enjoy Eufy models, and on the whole, [did not enjoy the E20](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eufys-e20-robot-vacuum-ces-2025). I thought it was clunky and not particularly great at any of the 3 things it was trying to do, but people in this sub LOVE Eufy, so at this price point, if you're so determined, this is the one I'd get. In a similar vein, if you love Roborock, a brand I usually recommend highly, I usually think you should grab the most expensive one you can afford (with some exceptions). My friend K says that the reason I'm trustworthy is that I'm always telling him to not buy things. So let me start here with what I'm NOT recommending, because you'll ask. I know everyone is excited about the Dreame Aqua and the Narwal Flow, but I think there are better roller mops out there, and I didn't feel either was significantly better than similarly priced non roller mops (the 3i S10). I really didn't love the Aqua, it leaked. The Flow was better. But not better than my picks in this category. The Saros Z70 is a fantastical concept I got super excited about, but wasn't great in practice. I haven't tested the X11, so that's my only reason I'm not recommending it. I know you said you don't need mopping, but I'm loving my Roborock Qrevo S5V so far. It's the cheapest model with the "DuoDivide" brush rollers, from what I understand, and it's been amazing for my carpets. Medium pile, beige carpets with a golden retriever and a German Shedder. I've only had to clear one small clump of hair from the roller in over a week of daily usage. I really think the split roller is the way to go for pet hair!

If you do decide to go for that model, I'd keep an eye on Amazon for the next time it's on a good sale. I just got mine for $600 and I know it went up again. Best of luck with your decision; there's sooooo many models out there it's almost impossible to choose!

At the moment it does everything I want from it, only thing I'd like is a bit better obstacle avoidance, specifically not climbing on furniture.

I'm not sure what is actively considered a top vacuum but something I've learned the hard way is to make sure the robot has a setting to empty the dustbin periodically or else it will go through a whole run, then try to empty the dustbin and the charging station will get clogged trying to suck the large clump of hair into the dust bag. I have a qrevo and really love the robot but the fact roborock doesn't currently have an option to empty the dustbin every 100 sqft or so, means that I have had to set up separate schedules for each room so it goes back to the dock to empty the dustbin between each room. It's frustrating.

Totally. Yeah I also hoped they'd update the app to add that but I've had the robot since it first came out a little over a year ago and it doesn't have that yet so unsure if they will ever add that.

I have a Q Revo and it does an ok job but yeah it's not up to the level of a mop, or even a hard floor cleaner. And these things are also ridiculously expensive to buy the latest and greatest. It does a fine job running daily to keep the floors clean, cleaner than just a vacuum. But I have a very drooly dog that leaves spots on the floor and it won't scrub those up, I have to break out a floor cleaner for that. It does better than my old roomba though, it almost never gets caught on or tangled in anything and mostly drives around any obstacles fine. Was it worth it? Probably not for the price I paid. Right now though you can get a Q Revo for $479 which I think would be worth it. So I maybe might advise buying the last gen at a discount rather than the latest and greatest and still plan on having to manually clean from time to time. Really depends on your needs of course, if you are a clean person living alone then you might rarely have spots that the robot won't get.

Roborock Qrevo is expensive but works very well. We have two long-haired dogs who can shed a third dog before noon. The Qrevo sweeps and mops. We usually run it in the morning and again in the evening.
