Roborock - Qrevo S5V

I think Roborocks are great, and you are likely to get a great robot if you stick w the brand. Buy the best one you can comfortably afford. I really liked the Qrevo line, but they were the MaxV Ultra. The S5V has cut a few features, but for the price is still a great robot.

Q revo. Which.... give the stats table might not make sense, but its the most reliable of the three, which i've tested.

I know you said you don't need mopping, but I'm loving my Roborock Qrevo S5V so far. It's the cheapest model with the "DuoDivide" brush rollers, from what I understand, and it's been amazing for my carpets. Medium pile, beige carpets with a golden retriever and a German Shedder. I've only had to clear one small clump of hair from the roller in over a week of daily usage. I really think the split roller is the way to go for pet hair!

If you do decide to go for that model, I'd keep an eye on Amazon for the next time it's on a good sale. I just got mine for $600 and I know it went up again. Best of luck with your decision; there's sooooo many models out there it's almost impossible to choose!

My Qrevo s5v does all of that. It was recently on sale on Amazon.

If you can get the Roborock Qrevo S5V for $550, it is the sweet spot in terms of price / features. Incredible value for the money.

Q(X)revo is an excellent entry level active mopper. A huge upgrade to an S5. Welcome to the world of active scrubbing and autonomous washing with water management. You will enjoy it.

Let's make some corner points. \* What moves will eventually break. So you may possibly not want the most tech cramped can-do-it-all robot like Saros 10R, because repair cost would not be cheap. \* Do you need it to climb thresholds >2cm? Then look at Qrevo Curv/Edge and Saros for their AdaptiLift feature. \* Long hair and pets -- A robot with the DuoDivide main brush system is recommended. It's doing a great job with anti tangling hair removal. My best guessed pick would be a Qrevo Edge S5A or Curv S5X, depending on which dock design you prefer. The robots are technically the same. These are light versions of Edge and Curv, don't have the adaptive body lift, don't have camera and voice assist. But you save quite some $$. Qrevo S5V is an economy choice, also having the DuoDivide roller brush. For lower maintenance, go with a revo mopper. Don't get a Vibrarise / sonic mopper.

I had ecovacs x9 pro - it worked wonderfully but it malfunctioned after a week. I bought roborock Qrevo s5v. Hardwood performance is 90% of x9, moping is alright definitely not as strong. Carpet vacuum was lackluster as I’ve dog who sheds like anything. I would prefer stability to performance. Sticking to roborock for now. You could try soros model if budget allows.

We have the Roborock Qrevo s5v and love it. We have three cats and a dog and it does a great job cleaning up after them, and has a great obstacle avoidance. Roborck’s app is pretty great too. I can’t yet speak to if it avoids puke or puddles, but I have seen it avoid even touching toys on the ground. Even, to a fault, I watched it go up to a dust ball that was decent sized and avoid it, thinking it was an obstacle. I will note though that cords are hit or miss— if they are low enough the robot will just go over, but it can get stuck and pop out a mop piece (just magnets to connect it back to the robot). At the end of the day though it is far better than the $300 shark robo vacuum we got from Costco.

I've got a QRevo S5V. I've got hardwood throughout most of the house, and LPV in the rest. In my bathrooms I have a "shag rug" length rug in front of the shower, in my living room I have a large, medium pile rug, really good quality so it sits a bit tall (maybe a full inch to the top. Upstairs I have wall to wall carpet, with two tiled bathrooms (with the same rugs). Fraggle (Roborock? Fraggle? Anyone?) does just fine with all the different rugs. Now and then maybe a small clump of fur (two big dogs, three cats). I just use the "Smart Clean" setting. I don't have issues with wet carpets/rugs. This house is clean!

I just got a Qrevo S5V from Amazon for $650. I absolutely love it. It replaced a self-empty Roomba that was 7 years old. It was worth every penny!!

I had a roomba for 15 years. I finally decided to get a different brand, and I can’t believe I waited for so long. My Roborock is far superior, and half the price of my old roomba.

I bought a roborock qrevo s5v on prime day after doing a ton of research.. it vacuums every day and mops 3 days a week. It’s unreal. It gets every corner unless it has to go under something, which it does not. Game changer. Would recommend 10/10 times

Save the money and get the little lesser model S5v. It's basically same robot.

Long hair, detangling vacuuming , the duo rollers are better because they help pick up hair too. I hate to sound like a broken record but the mova z60 are your budget is ideal but if detangling vacuuming is paramount, I like the roborocks qrevo s5v for $569 on prime day or even the mova p50 ultra at $699. You won't see better detangling in real world applications even when you go up to the curvx, s8 maxv, l50 compared to running a longer session (2x session)

Yeedi is a sub brand of ecovacs - its their budget line. They have some great value robots their but the value king robot right now is the Mova P10 Pro Ultra (not available in the eu) Eufy is fine but you wont find a lot of their products at the top of any rankings lists and their rolling mops have issues with the dirty water tank leaking. YMMV Right now id say Roborock, Dreame, Narwal and Mova are the best brands to choose from at this current moment. Knowing your region and budget would help with a recommendation. If you want a mopping first robot the Narwal flow at $1099 (track mop) is looking really nice. Probably the best mopper you can get at the moment. Only downside is that thing chugs water. Ecovacs robots have really good mopping scores as well but its hard to recommend them because they seem to have weird issues with the app and getting them to work right. If you can figure that out they are a good option. Besides that The Qrevo S5v is also a really highly rated mopper Best overall robot right now is the Mova V50 pro ultra at $1099

I recently got the Roborock Qrevo S5V (think it's on sale for 550$) and it's been great. It cleans fast and well, it navigates efficiently and both it's vacuuming and mopping are great. It doesn't have the best obstacle avoidance but I live alone without pets and my floor is always picked up, so it doesn't bother me at all. Overall very happy with it.

For Roborock, choose their model with a DuoDivide brush for the anti-tangle feature. It comprises several models: - Qrevo S5A/S5V (cheaper) - Qrevo Edge - Qrevo Curv - Saros 10 - Saros 10R (expensive flagship) S5A/S5V only have structured light-based obstacle avoidance sensors. The rest uses a combination of structured light and an AI RGB camera, which should perform better in detecting pet surprises. Only Saros 10 uses a vibrating mop pad while the rest uses a spinning-style mop. The mopping result differs between a vibrating mop and a spinning mop, but it depends on your house environment. People here reported different results between them.

Just keep in mind that the QrevoS robot, is a little bit higher, compared to Dreame or Xiaomi. I got a few furniture with 10cm legs, and the Qrevo is 10,2 and Dreame’s robot are 9,7 so it can go under the furniture, Roborock can’t 🤔

I have a Roborock q revo with mop and auto washing/ auto empty base station. I was skeptical about the mopping functionality but my wife talked me into it. I fucking love it.  haven’t touched the floors in over a year except vacuuming behind doors every couple weeks. 

My Roborock quervo that I got two weeks ago has been incredible. We had a shark matrix because it didn’t have bags, but made a compromise to upgrade. It is like watching a Zamboni drive across the floor when it is mopping.

After daily vacuuming then mopping, my hardwood floors became notably softer and had a shine. I’d recommend robots with roller mops or spinning mops. For roller mop robots, I’d recommend the eufy S1 (Pro), eufy E25/E28, MOVA Z50 Ultra, and the Narwal Flow. All of these robots except for the eufy E25/E28 will have good obstacle avoidance. For spinning mop robots, I’d recommend dreame/MOVA robots with the AceClean/jetspray dryboard, the Narwal Freo line with an all in one base station, the roborock qrevo line. If obstacle avoidance is important, I’d consider the Dreame L40S Pro Ultra, L/X50 Ultra and the Narwal Z/Z10 Ultra.

Bigger dustbin + good use of dustbin when it comes to fur (no empty space should be in the dustbin when fur clogs it) + frequent autoemptying = better for dealing with hair and fur. For a vacuum only model, the roborock Q5 Max+ and the Q8 Max+ have a sizeable dustbin and uses the dustbin space well and has an autoempty station. The dual rollers help with fur pickup. In the US Dreame’s L/X50 Ultra fulfills these requirements as a combo model. So does the MOVA V50 Ultra for Canadian customers. The QRevo series has the same issue with some dreame models where the dustbin will be clogged with fur but there’ll be a lot of empty space on the sides. It’ll be good for picking up fur on carpets with its dual brushes but I think the eufy X8 should be better for dealing with finer dust.

https://www.smarthomeassistent.de/saugroboter/ Narwal robots and Roborock’s spinning mop robots have the easiest to clean mop washboard as they’re completely removable (the autoempty Narwal models have a disposable dustbin attachment to avoid cleaning it but I find that rather wasteful). The roborock base qrevo is already a pretty good robot as it’s pretty tangle resistant with an all rubber main brush. Roborock’s generally vacuum better than the Narwal but the Narwal has an antitangle conical rubber and bristle brush that works great with the smoothest obstacle avoidance for camera enabled models with the best smart clean mode. As for models, the narwal’s Freo Z ultra is at 549 euros. However it’s very water hungry and requires constant water tank refilling and emptying. This should be the most cost effective choice if you are mainly concerned with ease of maintenance.

Roborock Qrevo is expensive but works very well. We have two long-haired dogs who can shed a third dog before noon. The Qrevo sweeps and mops. We usually run it in the morning and again in the evening.

I'm using Roborock Qrevo right now. The price is budget-friendly, and the integration is native (support local based on the document). 

We have a q revo and it’s great

I have a Q Revo and it does an ok job but yeah it's not up to the level of a mop, or even a hard floor cleaner. And these things are also ridiculously expensive to buy the latest and greatest. It does a fine job running daily to keep the floors clean, cleaner than just a vacuum. But I have a very drooly dog that leaves spots on the floor and it won't scrub those up, I have to break out a floor cleaner for that. It does better than my old roomba though, it almost never gets caught on or tangled in anything and mostly drives around any obstacles fine. Was it worth it? Probably not for the price I paid. Right now though you can get a Q Revo for $479 which I think would be worth it. So I maybe might advise buying the last gen at a discount rather than the latest and greatest and still plan on having to manually clean from time to time. Really depends on your needs of course, if you are a clean person living alone then you might rarely have spots that the robot won't get.

I bought the Dreame X40 Ultra. Same features, but cheaper. I also own a Q Revo and a Dreame L10S Ultra. The Q Revo has had a lot of issues in the year I've owned it. The L10S is still going strong, so the X40 was the obvious choice for me.

I had one of the higher end Sharks, can't remember the model, and I thought I liked it. It touted laser mapping, advanced schedules, etc. But then I got the Roborock Q Revo and it absolutely blew me away; made me realize how shitty the Shark was. At every level it's better: primarily it cleans way better, but also the app is better, it's actually easy to get replacement parts, and a ton of minor things that make it feel polished, like the robot will announce on its own device speaker what's happening, like why it got stuck or why it's returning to a dock. Contrast this with a few friends of mine that have even worse vacuums than the Shark: theirs get stuck all the time, can't find their way home to the dock, they end up not using it at all. Long story short, based on my experience it's absolutely worth spending good money to get a good robot vacuum.

I have a Roborock Q Revo in our 2 adult household and love it. I sweep out the corners occasionally since a round vacuum obviously can’t get into a 90 degree corner, but I don’t have to vacuum or mop anymore unless I just want to. My MIL also bought the same model, and they have three dogs in their home. One of whole sheds A LOT. He’s a corgi/lab mix and blows coat like a dandelion. It keeps up with all their hair, just needs more frequent dust bag replacements. It is so worth buying the right kind and getting a quality robot vacuum/mop. The cheap ones simply aren’t worth it. My father has a roomba (to excuse himself from ever actually cleaning) and it is awful. It will run over the same piece of hair multiple times without picking it up and then straight up avoid a certain dirty spot on the floor repeatedly. It runs on a random track of going until it bumps into something and then goes a different direction. He has also had problems with the batteries crapping out constantly and needing replaced because the capacity deteriorates so badly. The Roborock goes in a pattern; first does a perimeter sweep then goes in a grid pattern of vertical then horizontal rows. The Roborock takes floor plans of your house so you can select individual rooms for cleaning. There is a spot cleaning feature as well where you can drop a box to enclose a specific area that needs cleaned. You can set up scheduled for it to keep your house maintained and ignore it beyond weekly maintenance. I dump dirty water, fill the clean water, and wash mop heads once a week. I love it and would never buy anything else. Especially a Roomba.

Got the same one, for 400€ it's great! Navigation is awesome but it indeed just won't detect cables… The ones that can automatically search for your pet and allow you to see it while further controlling the robot remotely are pretty cool, but it's not really a big deal to not have that feature.

Agreed, it's awesome! Mopping great if you have any wood. Only downside to the more expensive ones is the lack of camera to detect cords, which isn't a huge deal.

/agree My Q Revo eats them. I just make sure to clear the floor before the task runs and it's all good. Actually got me into the habit of cleaning up on a regular basis rather than leaving a mess for a big monthly cleanup which I dreaded to do lol

I bought a new roborock qrevo with mop function last year from Costco and we used nightly (have a messy toddler) and the lidar stopped working after 6 months. Emptying the dirty mop wear container was also terrible as it smelled terrible! The auto empty would also jam regularly. My parents have an old roborock s3 I believe that’s 7-8 years old. It was one of the first ones with a mop function and they never use the mop function. There’s works great. So I’m not sure if the mop function really does work for longevity purposes.

I've tested 30+ robot vacuums since my career started here, and have learned so much from research, testing, and this Subreddit specifically. Some of you might have seen me on here making some personal recommendations in some of the posts in this Subreddit, but Prime Day is a great time to provide some insight on making a decision, since the market is currently overwhelming. **These recommendations are based on products we've bought and tested ourselves**, since we do not accept review or sample units from manufacturers. **I also wanted to disclose that we do make money from affiliate links and ads on our website**, so I will not be providing any links to our reviews. **First step** is to not panic. Figure out the needs of your space, your expectations, and your budget. Write them down and try to narrow it down to maximum 2-3 options. **General expectations** for all robots based on what I've seen and my personal opinion/experience: * **They will not replace your regular vacuum and mop for deep cleaning**, but they will extend the time between your deep cleanings. * **Obstacle avoidance is not that big of a deal if you don't have kids or pets.** Tidy up loose objects on the floor, tuck away cables, and set no-go zones, and you'll usually be good to go. * **You likely don't need to run it everywhere, every day.** Consider your needs and strategize. Use manual configurations, schedules, and spot cleanings over the built-in AI systems to tailor it to your needs. * **They usually always get hair stuck somewhere, especially long hair.** I have yet to meet a robot that has not gotten hair stuck with our standard 2.5g of long hair. That being said, some are better at it than others. * **The maintenance for the mops/water tanks is very frequent**, but saves more time overall. The general maintenance is usually quick overall, though. * **Recurring costs are generally higher and more frequent than regular vacuums.** You can try third party options for brush rollers, but we usually don't test that. * **Even premium models usually have seal problems** **and do not filter as well as standard vacuums with better HEPA/S-Class Filters.** If you have allergies, most of the robots will shoot allergens back up into the air. Consider an air purifier if you really want one. (The Levoit Vital 200s is great and on sale too) * **Advertised suction is usually not helpful or representative of pickup performance**. The Roborock S7 Max V is a great example of a robot with low advertised suction (5100 Pa) that still remains competitive in hard floor pickup performance to this day. * **Be vigilant of defects, especially on new models.** Brands are pumping out models faster than we can think. In my opinions, there are bound to be quality issues. If you see something wrong, exchange it or go with an older model that has proven reliability. * **Sales will come back. Often. Black friday is right around the corner.** Don't impulse buy just cause of a big sales event. **Dreame L10s Ultra/Pro Ultra ($299 USD/$479 CAD - $399USD/$499CAD) - Best Introduction Robot for Small Spaces** with mostly hard floor. * Decent hard floor performance, fully featured dock, great obstacle avoidance, decent mopping, upgradeable for carpets with the Tri-Cut Brush. * Mid battery-life, cold water and cold air drying (pro version adds heat), have seen complaints of poor customer service from Dreame. Uncertain about long term reliability. * At this price, you really can't go wrong if you just want something to help with day to day cleaning. **Roborock Qrevo Series ($399 USD/$549 CAD)** \- **Best Budget for hard floors** * Great hard floor pickup and navigation. Mid-on carpets. Bad at removing pet hair from carpets. * Awful obstacle avoidance. Decent Mopping * Roborock seems to have a better reputation for reliability. (Based on comments in this Subreddit) **Roborock S8 Max V ($1099USD/$1199CAD)** \- **Best For Carpet and Pet Hair** * Good all around pickup, excels on carpet thanks to its dual rollers. Corner coverage. * Expect hair tangles in the edges of the brush rollers. * Mid mopping performance, so you might have to manually clean hard stains. * Decent Obstacle avoidance, but not the best. * Older flagship. **Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni** (**$799 USD/ $1199CAD) - Best Mopping** (Not published yet on our website, but we've tested it) * Great hard floor pickup, decent carpet pickup. Okay, at removing pet hair from carpets. * Okay obstacle avoidance on hard floor, bad on carpet. * Excellent mopping. * Unsure of Ecovacs reliability and app experience, as I've seen complaints on this Subreddit before. * Currently borrowing this model, and I'm really impressed with it. I have not experienced any dock leaking, but this is something that I've seen brought up for other roller mop models. **Roborock Saros 10R ($1199USD) - Best overall for most people** * Excellent hard floor cleaning. Decent carpet cleaning. Struggles with pet hair on carpet. Good for mopping. * Excellent hard floor obstacle avoidance, bad carpet obstacle avoidance. * Excellent maneuverability. Slim body allows it to get underneath furniture as low as 3.1" (8 cm). Can also climb thresholds up to 1.5" (3.8cm) in our tests. * Not available in Canada. **Popular Models I'd avoid, but doesn't mean they wouldn't be the best option for you:** * **Dreame X50 Ultra:** It's dual rollers struggle with hard floor pickup more than the dual rollers on the S8 Max V. I also borrowed it for a month to test it in my home, and it would leave clumps of debris everywhere, especially near thresholds. This is based on our testing and my subjective opinion, but it was a miss for me. * **Dreame L40 Ultra:** Controversial, I know, but I was also underwhelmed with its hard floor pickup performance, especially with finer debris. It's decent for carpet, though, and might perform better with the Tri-cut brush. It also scored worse in obstacle avoidance than the Dreame L10s Ultra, which is bizarre since it released 2 years after it. This is another model I borrowed, and was not satisfied with it's cleaning performance in my mostly hard floor apartment. * **Eufy x10 Pro Omni:** It was one of the vacuums I had the most trouble testing due to navigation issues and app issues. Its pickup performance was also pretty poor on carpet, and just okay on hard floor. * **Dyson VisNav 360:** Great potential, but flawed execution and use of old tech make it a bad purchase in my opinion. This thing packed a punch and was excellent at picking up stuff it went over, but the problem was it would frequently miss areas and get lost/confused. * **Shark robot vacuums:** Some of them are good for pickup, but their built quality, navigation issues, and bare-bones app makes question their value. Honorable mentions: * **MOVA P10 Pro:** Best obstacle avoidance in our test out of every single model. Good hard floor pickup, mid carpet pickup, okay mopping. Comments in this Subreddit have mentioned MOVA's manufacturing quality and customer service are question. We had to return our first unit because the dock was non-functional, but the second unit works well. Let me know if you have any questions about my recommendations, and hope this helps out! I also purchased one of these and have been happy with it. Does a great job. I recommend watching vacuum wars on YouTube. He purchases every single robot vacuum and tests them all.

Object detection, specifically the smallest. I have cat toys that hang around everywhere and regularly my Q Revo blocks on it. Having to put them away before launching the robot and the only reason why I don't start it without my presence.

To really get value out of a robotic vacuum the key is to not buy the cheapest or second cheapest option. Get a vacuum with radar or LiDAR with room mapping. I have a Roborock QRevo with the mop option and I really, really like it. I’m able to map rooms, even on different floors, control both vacuum and mopping levels, and easily fence off areas and objects including setting up custom cleaning routines for a room or multiple rooms. Whereas I also have the base model Roomba and it only vacuums and crashes about my house like a drunken fool. It has very limited radar sense and relies on bumpers to “feel” its way around. I’m not saying no to the Roomba brand only that a cheap base model of any brand has big drawbacks. You can often find really good deals for Roborock on Amazon. Just use camel camel camel to price watch and alert you.

I absolutely love my Q Revo. I bought it with intentions of it being supported by Valetudo, but honestly… the app works, the HA integration works. I have a geofence that runs the full vac/mop when I leave in AM thru HA. I trigger a night mop of kitchen at 1am via HA. I have automations that notify on the TV when the buckets need to be filled/dumped. I’m planning to 3D print replacement buckets with auto fill and dump — this is my only issue… needs that water and dumping based on size of house and how often you run the mop.

If I were buying today, I would focus on one that fills/dumps the water automatically. I have the Roborock Q Revo and it is solid… I just have to dump/fill the tanks after about three mops. I’ve got all the parts in my Amazon cart to automate this. My hesitancy has been about how much automation/metering do I want and how much safety net do I want!!

This is cool, but I'm not sure how useful it is. Maybe instead of simply positive or negative, it could drill down into more specific, e.g. "Good for pets?", "Good for carpets", "Easy to maintain", "Easy to use app" etc. For example, the obstacle avoidance in the Q Revo which has the highest rating here is pretty terrible. It will easily drive through pet waste spreading it all over your home and basically destroying the robot. I have two Q Revos, but no pets :)

The Q Revo S is on sale currently for $549 vacuums, mops, and the base empties mops and dries. Pretty much the best you can get for the money.

A robovac, especially if it mops, is going to need more maintenance than a regular vacuum. How often do you or your spouse go over there? How much stuff do your p-I-ls leave laying around on the ground? Do they seem interested? Have you shown them videos? Even with a base station that cleans the mop pads, you still need to launder them as well as fill the clean water tank, empty the dirty one, and check the base dust bag. You also need to check and clean the vacuum itself once a month or so for hair or debris. It’s kind of like owning a less annoying pet. I really like my Roborock Q Revos. They’ve been super reliable.

TLDR: this sounds like a giant pain and very inconvenient, but you could do it. Most brands on technically support 1 home. But roborocks support up to 4 floors, I think so you could have each house be a different floor. Honestly, before committing to driving your vacuum all around try just having one to share between your floors. These things work best as “set it and forget it”. I ended up getting a refurb Q5 for my basement because over time it was less hassle than remembering to move my Q Revo from the first floor to the basement to run it. Additionally, you will vacuum more if you just set a schedule and have it run automatically.

Hi all, I’d like to know, is the Reactive AI (with rgb camera) actually much better than ReactiveTech? At the moment I have a Q Revo and it’s quite good, it is able to avoid most of the the objects in my house. But it struggles particularly with “low and flat“ objects. Can they recognize the obstacle (taking a photo) and maybe you can tell the robot to avoid it at all?

Q Revo has the spinning mop pads and lifts them automatically during carpet cleaning.

So I bought a q revo and dreame l10s and compared them directly and ended up keeping the l10s because it seems to do a better job of mopping (and is willing to mop in skinnier areas of my hard floor around rugs). I don't mind the worse app with dreame, it's completely usable and reliable, just with weird translations. I genuinely like the roborock carpets first feature but I don't miss it with scheduling. If you can afford the l40 ultra, that's what I would buy for the best features (hot water mop washing, self cleaning washboard, water turbidity sensor, mop extend & lifting brush, hair cutting roller). How much more expensive are the premier q revo models in your area (the master, slim, edge, curv)? If theyre the same price (or you can afford the slight increase) I'd get those for the best of both worlds: premier features and the superior roborock app.

I told everyone I know about my Q Revo I bought last year. “$600!? On a vacuum!?” It literally vacuums and mops every day while I’m at work. The dust piling up from my lazy ass not cleaning once a week is gone. The pockets of fur from my chihuahua is gone.

Xiaomi X10+ / Dreame L10Ultra is great, it has everything. Dreame L10 Prime is probably the cheapest I have used, less features and for mopping it was OK. Roborock revos are great but usually costly. Roidmi Eva was pretty dumb robot avoid that.

Dang. I have the regular Roborock Qrevo from 2023 and it doesn't look like it will get it.

Hopefully they will include it. I'm not going to buy a whole new one if they don't, but it would be a shame if they don't support it since it's not very old.

Our Roborock Qrevo vacuum/mop is still going strong after years and the pet hair don't faze it at all. I only ever heard bad things about iRobot and Shark

Don't spend $1000 on one, go for one around $350-$400 with an auto emptying dock. Roborock is my favorite. You'll get 99% the same features and function as the $1k one, and if you like it then you can get a second one and still be under $1k!

We have a Roborock that is about 2-3 years old now. QRevo 1st gen. Works great and keeps the hair/fur down to a minimum.

I have a robo vacuum(roborock qvero) which runs 2 times a week. Additionally I have a light weight cordless vacuum to cover delta between those days. It stays pretty clean with above effort.

I'm not sure what is actively considered a top vacuum but something I've learned the hard way is to make sure the robot has a setting to empty the dustbin periodically or else it will go through a whole run, then try to empty the dustbin and the charging station will get clogged trying to suck the large clump of hair into the dust bag. I have a qrevo and really love the robot but the fact roborock doesn't currently have an option to empty the dustbin every 100 sqft or so, means that I have had to set up separate schedules for each room so it goes back to the dock to empty the dustbin between each room. It's frustrating.

Totally. Yeah I also hoped they'd update the app to add that but I've had the robot since it first came out a little over a year ago and it doesn't have that yet so unsure if they will ever add that.

Also owning an OG QRevo. The mop cleaning is noisy enough through doors and we have a decent difference in floor height between rooms that always takes it a few attempts to lift itself over. Not mentioning emptying the bin at the end of a cycle. It’s a decent machine. Will continue to use it till it breaks down permanently (wasn’t an inexpensive purchase for us).

Of these, the worst mopping will be the Q5 and Q8 robots, which just have stationary pads attached to the back. The S8 also has a pad attached to the back, but includes a scrubbing motion via a plate that vibrates at a high speed. It's better than the Q5 and Q8. The best mopping will be on the Qrevo and Eufy X10. They have spinning mop pads, a dock which refills the water tank on the robot from its own water tank, and also cleans the pads automatically and stores the dirty water in another tank on the dock. Of the last two, each has its strengths and weaknesses. The X10 will be better at obstacle avoidance. The Qrevo is a Roborock, which has a better reputation for quality and reliability than the Eufy, and is also rated a little better than the Eufy at a lot of things: vacuuming performance, mopping performance, etc. It also can swing out one of its mop pads for better edge and corner cleaning, something the Eufy can't do. In some cases, obstacle avoidance is really critical, in which case I'd recommend the Eufy. Otherwise, the Qrevo is likely your best bet.

I was in the same boat, but with Black Friday sales both the roborock qrevo (refurbished)and dreame l10s ultra (new) are available for $359. For that price it’s hard to justify spending 2-3x as much for a few extra features which don’t seem to make a huge difference in the actual functionality of the product. I bought a l10s ultra and hope to not think about it again for at least a couple years.

Ik zat lang te twijfelen tussen de Dreame L10s Ultra en de Roborock Q-revo. Uiteindelijk ben ik voor de Roborock gegaan omdat deze technisch toch wat beter is. Hij is wat duurder maar hij heeft zichzelf inmiddels al dubbel en dwars terugverdiend.

Any guesses on MSRP for the Z1? I have 2 acres and probably 1.4 acres of it to mow. I have a 60" commerical Exmark mower but I'm getting more sick of mowing by the year and yard companies want $200/week to do it, so that is a hard pass. I already have two Roborock vacs (S7 Max Ultra and Q-Revo) and have been fairly happy with them, so this would be a nice addition if the price isn't like Yarbo's pricing structure.

I have a roborock revo with a dock.  The thing I don't like it that there is no setting for "go empty in the dock after x minutes" like there is for the mop. So to deal with this, I created a routine for each room individually.  It then empty after each rooms. Do that once a day, and no clogs.

This won’t be any help to find what you’re looking for, but I just want to push back on your requirements. Auto mop washing is probably one of the most worthwhile features of any robot mop. The whole point is frequency of cleaning due to convenience, and manually removing and washing pads takes the automation right out of it. I would say, with you worrying about something going wrong with the auto washing system: the rotating mops have been so successful compared to vibrating partially because the washing system is so simple. Since the pads rotate on the robot itself, the dock doesn’t need moving parts to clean the mop. The pads simple rotate quickly on what is basically a fixed washboard and the dirty water is sucked out. Way simpler and therefore cheaper, hardly anything to break. Secondly, as far as bags go. Bagless in any form of vacuum is practically a gimmick. You always need something for air to flow through, and if you don’t have a bag, then you have a filter to clean or replace. And they tend to be much much messier to do so, and then the machines don’t last either because the dust gets everywhere inside the machine. If you don’t have pets, bags last a long time. It’s just my opinion but I think you’re really unnecessarily limiting yourself for nonissues. There’s a reason these features have become basically the standard, they work well and work reliably. If I were you I’d get one of the Roborock revos or similar and call it a day, it will be a much better experience overall. I had a Revo and then a MaxV and was happy with both.

I use my Roborock Revo a great deal. I vacuum twice as much as the mop function.

+1 for Roborock, the q revo series with the spinning mops and auto docks have been amazing for me. There have a few different models so I'd compare them all but we have the slim and the master and love them both. They often go on sale - I got each of them for 1k or less. I had the s7+ and the mopping was disappointing. I'd avoid any simple dragging mops.

I disagree. Got a roborock q revo with vac and mop, also with a station that washes and dries the mops and it is very good and helpful.

Trust me you don’t need to drop $1800 on a robot vacuum. Any decent flagship Roborock will do, S8s or one of the higher end Q Revos. Saros is great but again you don’t really need them. Would avoid the other ones.

Depends on your flooring and needs If carpets - Roborock - best vacuuming particularly if you pair it with an auto empty dock (most newer models) If hardwood and no pets (Read not an inordinate amount of vacuuming) - Eufy S1 Pro - Best mopping hands down along with pretty good vacuuming

Ich sehe das ein wenig anders als die meisten Kommentare: kein Staubsaugerroboter zu besitzen ist schlimm. Irgendeinen Staubsaugerroboter zu nutzen sind 80%. Hauptsache ist, der Roboter lässt sich programmieren, findet seine Ladestation und läuft regelmäßig. Teurere Modelle zu kaufen schließt dann irgendwann die Lücke, die man ab und an noch selber saugen muss, je weiter man an 100% will, umso mehr kostet es im Zweifel. Ich hatte schon verschiedenste Modelle, habe im Keller einen Chaosrobo, im Erdgeschoss einen Roborock mit Absaugstation und oben einen Eufy. Eufy wäre mein Preis-/Leistungstipp.

I saw recommendations for the Roborock vacuums. Having used it for 2 days, it's been solid, and the new Q-series does seem to work well with the native homeassistant plugin.

Thirding roborock. Love mine. I splurged on the self emptying model….totally worth it.

We have two shedding dogs and we love our Roborocks. The first one, while it was fantastic filled kinda quickly (not their fault, our dogs shed A LOT) so it was a minor inconvenience to empty it halfway through it's cleaning 2700sqft. My brother became disabled so I gave him that one for his apartment. He loves it and his helper can empty it and help him with harder care items so it saves him money (he was initially being charged an hour every day for vacuuming, now he's not). The second one I got was self emptying so it can continue all by itself and I really appreciate it. I only have to empty the main basin once a week and that's it. Super convenient and does a fantastic job cleaning. I used to vacuum at least twice a day to stay on top of the hair. Now I do a "deep" vacuum once a week- baseboards, under carpets, etc. Roborock gave me hours of my life back and that's not an exaggeration.

Get a self emptying Roborock one. Roombas are crap that are basically all about their name now. You will have to clean the fur out of some spots on it at times, but if you run it every day it will keep most of it out of the way.

I have an expensive roborock and it's great. It's the self emptying one, was like $1k on sale last year. Wait till November/Black Friday sale and they are 30-50% off regular price. Can definitely find a good one within your budget

I bought a barely used self-emptying Roborock on Facebook marketplace a few months ago and it is hands down one of the best purchases/decisions I’ve ever made. One dog and a cat and I was losing my mind trying to keep up with my floors.

I also have the mopping Roborock and love it. We have 1 dog and 12 foster cats so daily sweeping and mopping is a necessity. It won’t save op money though I think it was $700. As long as the toys are picked up the only issue it occasionally has is with my really long hair getting wrapped around the rollers.
