The biggest issue Iâve had with robot vacuums and pet hair is the auto empty feature. With 4 dogs, we have a lot of dog hair. Iâve had 2 robot vacuums not be able to auto empty (a Yeedi vac station and Roborock Quervo QV 35A) which is hugely frustrating. My Roomba j7+ auto emptied just fine, but didnât have a mopping function. My current vacuum, a Eufy E25, auto empties and has a roller mop. The roller mop is key for reducing mop smells, since it rinses the mop as part of the cleaning process (as opposed to the spinning mop heads which only get cleaned when the robot goes back to base). Now that Iâve had a good vacuum/mopper, Iâm never going back. Mopping keeps my floors soooo much cleaner, especially when itâs wet outside and my dogs track in mud. I like that the E25 has an auto-dispense function for the cleaning solution, which makes paying extra for the proprietary cleaner totally worth it. Another thing thatâs really helped reduce smells is running the robot twice a day. First I run it on vacuum only to pick up as much dog hair as possible, then about 2 hours later I run the vacuum/mop setting (the E25 does not have a mop only function). This keeps the mop head mostly clear of dog hair, and prevents a wet dog smell. If you let the hair build up on the mop it transfers to the tray in the base station, where it stays damp and smells like wet dog. The E25 is good at avoiding dog toys, but struggles with socks and cables. Overall Iâm very happy with it and itâs currently $649 on Amazon. As a side note, I highly recommend buying on Amazon so you can use the Asurion protection plan. Yes, I know Amazon is a terrible company. Unfortunately I am stuck with them because of the Asurion insurance subscription. It works great and Iâve made a lot of claims with them. Insurance is a must for any robots, because they will break. The Roomba I had died when our Rottweiler peed on it. Asurion refunded the purchase priced because it couldnât be repaired, and thatâs how I paid for the next vacuum!
I have not used the Mova P10, but I had the Roborock QV 35a and loved it⌠except it couldnât auto empty 4 dogs worth of hair. If you donât have pets, itâs a fantastic robot. Plus Roborock has excellent customer service as they fully refunded my purchase outside of the return window when it became clear the vacuum just didnât work for my needs.
I had a Roborock Qrevo last year and had to return it because the auto-empty function couldnât handle all the dog hair in my house (4 dogs). This made the vacuum basically useless for me, even though I loved everything else about it. The crazy part is that customer service said they wouldnât recommend any robot vacuum for my situation, so I would stay away from Roborock completely if you have a lot of pet hair. I knew this was not true for other brands, as my old Roomba would auto-empty just fine. I ended up getting a Eufy E25 and it works great. Search my comment history for details about the E25, or let me know if you have any specific questions. Hereâs what I wrote to Roborockâs customer service: âDo you have a recommendation for a Roborock vacuum mopper that can auto empty lots of dog hair (I have 4 dogs)? I was quite happy with the QV35A otherwise, and the customer service has been excellent. So I would be happy to purchase a Roborock again, as long as it has an auto empty feature that works for my needs.â See screenshot for their reply lol https://preview.redd.it/i6hu95axmi5h1.jpeg?width=1525&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f071d62afeb2fc156f368a2f380a5125780d1a0b
Thank you for this. I bought Roborock Qrevo QV35A after your last thread a few months ago and our life has changed. Your thread really helped me make an informed decision. I was first time buyer so I wanted to see what are the most purchased and best reviewed vacuums in each categories. It made my research seamless!
Have had Roborock QV35a for almost 3 months now and love it. No complaints as such. Vacuums and mops really well and I have it scheduled so thatâs easy. Itâs obstacle detection isnât the best but thatâs pretty much it
Nah. Mine is more like a cactus I forget about that thrives on neglect. We had Operation Sock and Cable rescue like the first two days, but it's been smooth sailing ever since. That said, it does all that other stuff (emptying, mop washing, etc) on its own. I refill the water every few days. I wipe off the sensors and hand-vac the base dock every few weeks. Other than that, maintenance is like every 6 months.
We have the Roborock Qrevo 35A, which was at the price point I was looking for. We have two dogs, a dog door, a kid, and an active kitchen. We also have all hard floors with rugs. I think the mopping feature on this model does a good job. It has spinning discs and self washing/drying. I clean the main part of the house (kitchen, dining, living, hallway) every night, and I refill the water reservoir every 2-3 days. I do use the Roborock branded moping solution at a dilution ratio of 1:200, so that highly diluted solution may be whatâs keeping our floors from being streaky. I would have opted for a roller/track mop, but wanted to stay on budget. The performance of the spinning discs is better than expected.
Got the Q35A, its great, the family loves "Wall E" It has now convinced us to get a lawnrobo.
Weâve had our Roborock qrevo 35a for about 4 months and thrilled with it. Considering buying a second for our second floor.
Iâm obsessed with our Roborock, which mops and vacuums. Couldnât recommend it enough especially to anyone struggling to stay on top of the cleaning. For us the vacuuming and mopping was the most time consuming and physically tiring of our cleaning chores, so it feels like 80% of our cleaning time and effort was taken off our hands.
Iâve been using the QV35A and itâs honestly been great. The cleaningâs been reliable, the mops lift on carpet, and the dock takes care of most of the dirty work. For the price, it really feels like one of the best entry-level options right now.
