That's completely logical. Well, logic. Here's what I would say in response to that. I'm a real nerd about the sweeps. And so roborock redesigned them this year and I was fascinated as to why because they went from a three-arm sweep to a two-arm curved sweep. They spent tons of time researching of course and testing etc. To arrive at this decision. Fine. Last month I test this new robot, the 3i and it has two of the largest most obnoxious looking three-armed sweeps at the front and unlike the roborocks, they're in constant contact with the floor. Well they work better than anything else that I've tried. And so when I unboxed the e25 and e28 and saw the same design I thought, oh well. These are also going to be highly effective. But they're not. So I think it's a combination of the hardware but also all the other factors involved including the triad of sweep, suction and roller, and in terms of the mop, how much downward pressure is being exerted on that mop head. There was something about the vibrations in those mop pad models that just make them more effective at getting dirt out. It doesn't make sense, it just is.
I feel like I just this conversation in another thread..... here's precisely what I said, same thing here. The Pro 8 was a great robot, but there have been LEAPS and bounds since then. I have the f25 as well, and I'm a big fan. (altho, honestly, the Narwal is even better) If you have pets, the issues are 2fold. First, you gotta get the hair off the floor. Once it gets up the floorboards, no robot can get it. To get it off the floor, you need sweeps that are really good. In my opinion, only a few companies are doing that. 3i and Eufy. One piddly sweep on the side isn't gonna cut it. You need two sweeps, and they need to have contact w the floor. Now unfortunately, the Eufy e25/28 that have this feature suck, IMO, for other reasons. 3i's are gigantic, move in opposite directions and are always in contact w the floor. They work exceptionally well. Part 2- you want a vacuum with a razor that cuts the hair. Again, only a few do this. Some Dreame models, Eureka's J15 line and 3i. Now, I'm a 3i stan. I think its spectacular, but its not for everyone... so you have to figure out what other priorities you have. Does the tower need to look nice? Dreame wins there. Do you have large debris or just dog hair? Large debris? Only 3i. More carpet than hard floor? Eureka. Usually, when people have pets, I steer them towards the best Eureka J15 they can afford. Most are quite happy. I have a short hair dog who sheds incessantly and drags in mulch from outside and general mud/dirt, and I love the 3i s10. I know lots of people with Dreame x40/x50/x60 that have pets and are happy. Anything in those product ranges will prob suit you well. Water consumption relates to many factors, and you can select a water level of low, medium, or high. I haven't done specific testing, but the roller mop probably saves more water compared to a normal mop. For the same stubborn stains, like mud prints, the E28/25 is certainly more effective than the Freo Z, as it can clean them up in one go.
Its main brush is different from regular brushes; the E28/25's brush is separate. After each cleaning, it returns to the base station automatically pushes the hair to the center and detangles it. It depends on whether other brands have a similar design, or it is hard to find that feature across different brands.
Hi I have a dreame h14 and it's a waste of money not even a month or two after owning it, I started having problems. The roller brush disinigrates from the heat, it stopped mopping on one side, it won't turn on right away I have to keep turning off and on and it doesn't suck very well. The roborock f2⁵ has great suction, does everything the dream h14 does but better and picks up pet hair and doesn't clog the machine like dreame does. It's also lighter and less bulky. I also own the eureka one and that one is nice as well very light weight but my problem with that one is the tank leaks. Eureka warrantied it out and I got to keep it so I just keep it as a back up.
Broke down & bought a vacuum mop (roborock f25) on prime day for like $200. Use it everyday or every other day. I think it was worth it, I can clean the whole house 1400 sf in about 10 minutes. I told my husband that it cheaper than hiring a cleaner. Before that, I mop once in a blue moon and it was terrible on my back when I did. I usually swept once a day. I had a ton of resentment building up because my husband gardens with our preschooler & they would track in dirt all the time. My standard of clean is being able to walk barefoot without feeling something on my feet. The vacuum mop had help
Many reviewers seem too exited for nothing and focus on the mopping, they show bare minimum of the robot and rarely how it's built or long term testing. "Antitangle"? Make sure to use long, i mean 30cm+ hair. I just want a smaller than 300mm robot without any mopping functionality, please drop the garbage and focus on the vacuum part. Bring the ecovacs mini(286mm) competitor with roborocks duo-divide and a bag dock.
I brought rococo's three months back and haven't manually vacuumed or mopped the floors since then.
What are you cleaning them with? I am using roborock f25 ultra and it's a lot better results for less effort than the old mop and bucket
