"The roborock I have kicked and smashed with my foot so many times out of anger when it doesn't collaborate, and still he rocks 4-5 yrs later and no broken parts"
"they are extremely durable. ... I’ve got well over 1000 miles out of a pair and they still have grip and the uppers are in great shape"
"I've used them for 1500 miles of multi-day hiking with no issues!"

"On hard floors it was as exceptional and never left a piece of cat litter in between the wood planks."
"And my dust bag was full the first month. ... We have 3 highly shedding dogs and the roborock qrevo master does well but evidently the p50 does better. The roborock bag wouldn't be full the first month like this."
"I’ve seen on the camera the poor guy making multiple trips to self empty while in one room but it’s cut the hair buildup tenfold."

"But it’s easily taken apart and repaired once you get the hang of it and parts are readily available. ... Probably around $200? Not a great deal, the parts are fairly cheap even genuine and there are also aftermarket available. ... The first time I took it apart it took a couple of hours whilst watching YouTube, now I can completely disassemble and reassemble under an hour ... I did both motors at the same time and put all new brushes in it and it was like new again."
"Same here the i3 is awesome. ... I bought a parts kit on amazon for super cheap and it has really come in handy. ... I replaced the roller, even though it didn't need it after 3-4 years of use. ... The brush up front I've had to replace twice."
"Every part is easily replaced ... It's still robust and serviceable"

"But even my old Roborock does that flawlessly."
"I've had my Roborock S50 since 2019 and it's been absolutely problem-free."

"Our roborock s50 is 7ish years old if memory serves. ... Just over 1500 cleanups. ... Runa about every other day give or take. ... 45k m2 cleaned. ... Jist regular maintenance of main side brush, filters. ... 1 broken dirt tray, but that was due to me dropping it."
"It is my #1 most used thing. ... Saturday morning just head out for a coffee with friends and come back to a 90% clean floor without lifting a finger - vacuumed and mopped."

"And it was a disaster on our cotton area rug, even on the lowest setting. I ended up with a ton of lint and a roughed-up rug!"
"My only real gripe with mine is that it’s not a very powerful vacuum at default settings. ... The 10R seems to struggle with picking up heavier, aerodynamic debris like rice grains or seeds, on its default settings."
"vacuuming and hair tangling is very poor."

"Granted the Roborock S50 is from a different era, but what the actual heck - clean/dirty water tank, washes mop with hot water, dries it, auto dispensers detergent, has a swinging mop, lifts the side brush during mopping (!), is dead silent when mopping only. My floor is cleaner than it’s ever been.."
"their tech features just aren't as advanced as some of the newer brands ... If you want something with... mopping, etc, you probably want a Roborock"

"The thing that hasn't changed much is actual power. ... Even the top end $1500 models have similar airflow to my 5 year old Roborock. ... But you need a fundamental leap in technology to go from current best robot vacuums to machines which can actually rival any mains powered unit. An upright vacuum from 100 years ago (no kidding, google the Hoover Model 700) will still beat the shit out of these things."
"It's not, however, particularly brilliant at picking up visible dirt from carpets."
"still does a half decent job vacuuming however its age is showing ... It vacuums better than the S50"

"And not during the middle of the night like Roborock then you have to wait until the next night to email you back. ... Roborock was never a problem with me for warranty work it's just the process takes a while due to the response email coming in the middle of the night."
->A little late for this but I would go with the V50. Any model can have problems. I haven't tried the curvx but I tried 3 regular curvs and had to send them back. They dragged the mops when going back to the base. I haven't seen a lot of people mention that so maybe I was unlucky, 3 times in a row. The vacuum performance wasn't great either. I always vacuum before mop and there would be lots of pet hair in the base after mopping. I have the p50 and love it. Got it on sale for 799. I did have to send the first one back due to water pump issues, started in less than a week, but the one I have now has been going 2 months with no problem. Hardly, if any hair in the base after mopping. And my dust bag was full the first month. We have 3 highly shedding dogs and the roborock qrevo master does well but evidently the p50 does better. The roborock bag wouldn't be full the first month like this. And I have generic bags that work that are a lot less so it won't get so expensive to change. I have had no front wheel problem at all. Every manufacture can have problems. But if you need to deal with the warranty every time I have emailed Mova with a question or when the water pump went bad, they got back to me the same day almost every time but always within 24hrs. And not during the middle of the night like Roborock then you have to wait until the next night to email you back. Roborock was never a problem with me for warranty work it's just the process takes a while due to the response email coming in the middle of the night. Sorry so long but hope this helps.
r/RobotVacuums • If you had to choose between the Roborock QRevo CurvX & Mova V50 ultra, which would be your pick and why? ->This must be something else, as I used to have this weekly for years on my 6 year old Roborock S50. Recently I got myself the Dreame L40S with the same duo brushes, and it's amazing 😍 NEVER has this problem anymore.
r/Dreame_Tech • Aqua10 Ultra Track unusable with dogs ->Our roborock s50 is 7ish years old if memory serves. Just over 1500 cleanups. Runa about every other day give or take. 45k m2 cleaned. Jist regular maintenance of main side brush, filters. 1 broken dirt tray, but that was due to me dropping it.
r/BuyItForLife • For a robot vacuum, how long is considered BIFL? ->I also have the mopping Roborock and love it. We have 1 dog and 12 foster cats so daily sweeping and mopping is a necessity. It won’t save op money though I think it was $700. As long as the toys are picked up the only issue it occasionally has is with my really long hair getting wrapped around the rollers.
r/dogs • Is a Roomba-like vacuum worth it for dogs? I need to be de-influenced for my wallets sake ->Same. My Roborock S50 from 2018 still going strong after 7 years.
r/RobotVacuums • Why do all robot vacuums seem to have a shelf life of like three months before they start having issues? ->I wish. The ones with LIDAR and particularly cameras are definitely smart _er_ but there is a tradeoff - they may get stuck less, but then they don't bother even trying to clean areas that look hard to them. The forest of chair and table legs under our kitchen table is a good example: The cheapo Eufy I bought for the MIL with no remote sensing gets stuck there every time. The Neato that normally lives upstairs that has LIDAR gets stuck occasionally but at least gives it a go. The combo mopping/vacuuming Roborock with both LIDAR and cameras that lives downstairs takes one look at the table area, decides it's too hard, and doesn't bother trying. So I have to manually clean it, or remember to pull out all the chairs. And it still gets stuck sometimes. I prefer the Neato behaviour. But it doesn't mop and Neato the company is essentially defunct.
r/AskUK • Are robot vacuums really that good in UK homes? ->Tl;dr - upgraded from Roborock S50 (2019) to Dreame L40 Ultra, blown away by the tech improvements. I’ve been researching robot vacuum cleaners for a while now and even had a detailed spreadsheet of all the options. I have a Roborock S50 from 2019 that still does a half decent job vacuuming however its age is showing (we affectionately call it the grandpa). We have hardwood mainly, and we were looking for the next vacuum to mop as well. Budget wasn’t a concern, so I initially considered the Saros 10r and S8 MaxV Ultra, or even waiting for the next gen Roborock with the rumored roller mopping. The L40 Ultra didn’t convince at $1200, there were simply too many better options out there. However, at $474, it suddenly looked very different on my spreadsheet, and had features that none in its price class had. Took the plunge and got it delivered today, and my word, this thing is incredible. It vacuums better than the S50, extendible arms are grabbing dirt from everywhere, the leave-behind-mop for vacuuming trick is awesome, avoids most obstacles, auto empties to the docks (what! lol), so quiet even in turbo mode. Mopping is stunning, I mean I’m staring at our floor speechless. Granted the Roborock S50 is from a different era, but what the actual heck - clean/dirty water tank, washes mop with hot water, dries it, auto dispensers detergent, has a swinging mop, lifts the side brush during mopping (!), is dead silent when mopping only. My floor is cleaner than it’s ever been.. If this thing lasts a few years and delivers like this consistently, it’ll be a monumental quality of life improvement. I’ve not paid attention to the robot vacuum tech trends the past few years, but my word, this feels like a generational futuristic leap of technology. My one tip for others looking - figure out what you need and don’t get distracted by other features/gimmicks. For example I was so tempted by the level jumping function even though I had fully flat hardwood (lol), or spent countless hours agonizing over AI obstacle avoidance feature (I have no pets.. why care about fecal avoidance?!), or hot mopping function (it literally cools down in the robot, why bother?!).
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame L40 Ultra - quick review ->Can echo the other posters. My S50 was loud, so I had very low expectations. In “Quiet” mode, the L40 is shockingly quiet.. to the point where I was worried it’s actually working!
r/RobotVacuums • Dreame L40 Ultra - quick review ->Hi, Had Roborocok S50 in the past with 2000 Pa, now have Roborock S10R (G30s Ultra China version). I am dissapoint. 20000 Pa is not better than 2000Pa. I thought maybe the problem what I got China version, and China version is not good compare to the one provide to western countries. But i see such problem noticed not only me, and not only for G30s Ultra, Saros 10R is observed same suction problem. It is really sad. I starting to think to skip to other brands. I see ECOVACS DEEBOT X9 PRO Omni can be really promising. If Roborock not stops to fake on numbers for marketing purpose - they will loose fans in near future! Me too.
r/Roborock • Why Pa specs are misleading - my 2,000 Pa S5 outcleans my 22,000 Pa Z70 ->If the price is a big issue - just look at Roboroc Curv 1st version or MAYBE Look At Dream L40, they are really good. You do not have to buy another Roborock. Dreame is also very good option. I am big Roborock fan, actually was - when had Roborock S50, now have Roborock saros 10R - not happy NOW, think I got faulty version. [https://vacuumwars.com/vacuum-wars-best-robot-vacuums/](https://vacuumwars.com/vacuum-wars-best-robot-vacuums/) look for Dreame L40S now at 4th place and price very close to S8
r/Roborock • Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra vs Saros 10 - which one would you choose? ->I’ve got an old roborock s50 from 2017 that works fine, and my eufy s1 pro is over a year old. No issues.
r/RobotVacuums • Why do all robot vacuums seem to have a shelf life of like three months before they start having issues? ->The vacuum motor on mine is a bit whiny, but still works well.
