"I also have two giant long haired (nonshedding excessively) cats. I shed hair a LOT. Worse than the cats. It works so well."
"It works great with long hair and long haired corgi fur in my home. This is absolutely tangle free in my use and the correct cover can stop hair from going to the sides."
"mopping is BETTER than i do."

"I run all three of my robovacs simultaneously through Home Assistant. It has a steep learning curve, but it is so unbelievably powerful that any other system seems primitive in comparison. ... I can specify which robovac should clean what area or room in my house, and exactly how they should do so, entirely by voice commands that trigger Home Assistant automations. ... It looks like eventually, there will not be anything I could do in the app that I cannot do within Home Assistant, and I can do everything for three robovacs simultaneously."
"Hook that sucker up to your plumbing and you'll never have to bother with refilling and draining the mopping bins. ... It's fantastic."
"the ability to have a daily vacuum and mop routine without doing it ourselves is well worth it!"

"The roborock I have kicked and smashed with my foot so many times out of anger when it doesn't collaborate, and still he rocks 4-5 yrs later and no broken parts"
"has withstood the last week of winds over 70 freezing kph."
"I've used it daily for at least 10 years now, probably closer to 15 and apart from the fact you need to clean it periodically, it's still works like brand new."

"This was a game changer for me. Each night before I ran the S7, I had to manually move and rearrange items on the floor so it didn’t get stuck. With a kid and a dog, it’s easy to have toys under the rug, spoons in random places on the floor etc. My S7 would always get stuck on those and fire away an SOS in the app and I’d have to get outta bed and reset the robot clean cycle. The Slim has made me truly appreciate the *set it and forget it* style I prefer. Yes, I still do move/check for randoms but it doesn’t get stuck up on the stuff I’d miss. 3/4 score in my ultra scientific yet real world test! It even manages to dodge when my dog is sitting on the rug and shows a ‘Pet’ notification in the app! ... Wires - not a problem! ... It did manage to 'touch' the flip flops but didnt mess up ... Nudged the ball but didn't get stuck on it like my S7 did"
"cleaned it just as quickly. ... It navigates far more efficiently and cleans rooms in a fraction of the time it took my Roomba."
"They're awesome- LiDAR room mapping ... Um roomba doesn't use Lidar which is why it doesn't do a good job mapping the rooms. Or figuring out what floor it's on."

"The AceClean dryboard (its mop pad cleaning tray) on these models is currently the best self cleaning mop tray that can clean its mops as the only maintenance required is to occasionally clean a removable palm-sized drainage filter and wipe down the flat dryboard (no nooks and crannies for dirt to hide)."
"I would WAY rather take the vacuum back to the dock once every few weeks than vacuum all the time. ... I am more than happy to pay $150/year to eliminate 99% of my vacuuming. I would happily pay double that."
"the new dreame robots (L40S ultra, L40S pro Ultra, and the X50 Ultra) in Australia cleans its own filter when it autoempties."

"Hair Pickup on carpet is better than the S7 MaxV but still worse than the Neato D7. ... I confirmed this by running the S7 Max V first (with rubber brush), on my upstairs carpeted room - that I purposely haven't vacuumed in a week. S7 Max V barely got anything and had some wrapped around the edges - as it does. ... For me yes but I say that mostly because of the tangle free vacuuming of pet hair and the improved hair pickup on carpets. I was tired of cleaning out the old one and so far with this I have zero tangles. ... The S7 MaxV had the worst hair pickup on carpets, with the stock rubber brush, of all the bots I ever owned. Tangles were minimal but it didn't do well taking hair off the carpets (it did great on the hardwood/tile though). Swapping out the rubber to the bristle brush improved the pickup but increased the tangle problem - it also created a problem with auto-empty for me a few times. ... It mops/vacuums significantly better than my S7 MaxV. Especially on carpets (especially especially pulling dog hair off carpets). ... That being said I LOVE the anti-tangle brush. 3 Months and I haven't had to clean the brush one time. It's literally perfect for me."
"We have dogs that shed a lot. It just got to the point where I was doing more babysitting of the vacuum than actual vacuuming."
"The S1 pro is a nightmare for maintenance"

"My S7 basically vacuums up the chunks and then mops the liquids. ... The biggest issue for me is that the moist chunks gum up the vac tray in the dock and I have to clean it regularly. ... The robot scoops up wet barf chunks that get in the dust bin and when the dock empties the dust bin the wet chunks stick to the dock and when they dry it’s like concrete since they mix with cat hair and dust that gets swept up. ... I have to unscrew the dust bin emptying chute and clean it in the sink and sometimes need a screwdriver to scrape the stuff off."
"But I dislike the mopping system. It does a great job mopping, but the mechanism in the dock used to clean the mops it too complicated and needs far too much maintenance."
"not anything fancier because all that hair will just clog any automated dock."

"stopped doing edges ... each week it got worse at navigation, essentially only doing half rooms ... stopped sweeping and mopping anywhere it transitioned from rug to floor ... It would leave 2 ft circumference around every rug unswept which was horrible near dog doors and the rug in front of them (main reason I got vacuum!) ... But was not willing to deal with it stopping sweeping the entire floor. ... It was glitching out around edges"
"The j7 got stuck often, maybe 1 out of 4 cleanings it either sucked up a cat toy or jammed itself under something."
"It is dangerous to trust it if you have a risk for pet accidents."

"Long hair, in particular, seems to be a huge issue – it constantly wraps around the main brush and even the small front wheel. ... At this point, I feel like I’m putting more effort into maintaining the robot than I would if I just vacuumed manually. ... I’m seriously questioning if the robot is still worth it, considering how much time I spend cleaning it. ... I think the hair will remain a problem, but it will probably require a lot less maintenance."
"I needed scissors to remove the long hair from the brush."
"If I leave them, they'll get chewed, tangled up.. it'll take robo 5x the amount of time to navigate around crap and by the time it cleans up some rooms it'll run out of battery."

"The Mova doesn't have auto-detachable mop pads. ... I personally have the P10 Pro Ultra and I wish I had just ponied up for the detachable mop pad on the dreame"
"one mopping pad wouldn't raise, so it dragged it on the floor while traveling or cleaning carpet."
"The first vacuum I had the mop wouldn't raise up when it should."
I also have the s7 and I would say the q revo looks and Sounds Better.
r/homeassistant • What are The Best Robot Vacuums Recommendations Today for Busy Folks? ->The axel shaft snaps out and snaps into the swivel assy. I use a flat screwdriver with gentle pressure to snap it out and finger pressure to snap it together again.
r/Roborock • Roborock S7 and long hair – more effort than it’s worth? ->Hi everyone, I have a Roborock S7, and even though I clean it regularly, it often looks like the photos I’ve attached after just one(!) or two cleaning runs. Long hair, in particular, seems to be a huge issue – it constantly wraps around the main brush and even the small front wheel. I don’t have an auto-empty dock, so I clean the robot entirely by hand. At this point, I feel like I’m putting more effort into maintaining the robot than I would if I just vacuumed manually. I’ve tried everything: cleaning it more frequently, taking precautions like removing hair beforehand, but nothing seems to help. I wouldn't say that my flat is dirtier than average. Has anyone had similar experiences? Do you have any tips to fix this issue, or should I just start looking for an alternative? I’m seriously questioning if the robot is still worth it, considering how much time I spend cleaning it. Looking forward to your thoughts and advice!
r/Roborock • Roborock S7 and long hair – more effort than it’s worth? ->I would say when I bought the robot three years ago, it was never as bad as it is now. (Although I haven’t changed anything)
r/Roborock • Roborock S7 and long hair – more effort than it’s worth? ->I have a Roborock S7 and I've easily got parts from AliExpress i.e. Filters, side brush, mop pads, water tanks, and I'm confident I could get parts like wheels if I needed to do actual repairs. I haven't needed to get parts regularly in the 3.5 years I've had it, just the one off or to have a spare ready for replacement
r/RobotVacuums • Trying to find a robot vacuum that has easily replaceable accessories ->got a roborock S7 and honestly it's been solid. mapping is actually accurate, doesn't randomly yeet itself into corners like my old one did. pet hair isn't an issue at all.
r/BuyItForLife • What are the Best Robot Vacuum Right Now? ->Everything „above“ the Roborock S7.
r/nextfuckinglevel • Effectiveness of a robot vacuum ->Exactly, that’s what I wanted to say but phrased badly. I have a S7 as well and I’m very happy with it.
r/nextfuckinglevel • Effectiveness of a robot vacuum ->You just made me buy a Qrevo Master. My gf has long hair too and my s7 is suffering with hairs on brush.
r/Roborock • ROBOROCK Qrevo Master OR DREAME L10s Pro Ultra Heat ->I have a roborock S7, literally a godsend with three dogs in the house. My floors always look pretty clean. I only have to do a full vacuum and mop once a week now as opposed to everyday before the roborock purchase.
r/perth • Robot Mop & Vac - what to buy and what to avoid? ->Roborock S7 and Ecovacs T8, these two models are mentioned most when it comes to solid performance. They nailed the core mopping and vacuuming functions without complex features
r/RobotVacuums • Any mopping robots that are 1 or 2 years old that you're still happy with? ->Get a Roborock, I recommended mine (S7 or S8) to my friend with 3 dogs and 1 cat and it keeps their floors so nice. It (no exaggeration) saved her sanity. It’s pricey, but it actually works and works well. You have to keep the base station maintained but it’s so simple to clean.
