"We have four roborock S7’s running in our 5,000 sqft office. ... Bought them since they first came out years ago. ... They run every day. ... Only last year did we replace the battery for all 4. ... Other than that, no issue at all, rock solid, very pleased that we also have them for our homes too."
"My Roborock S7 does about 2,000 sqft twice a week since 2021, and it's still going strong"
"Mine current us at 1903 hours and 94700 square meters …"

"in the app it will show you a layout of your home after it runs once which you can separate into rooms. I like this feature as I can schedule my kitchen to run daily and the rest of the house twice a week."
"It’s smart enough to know when something is in the way and just works around it. The next time if that thing isn’t there it just cleans as normal."
"The Roborock app works quite well and I find it easy to set up no go zones."

"After walking them in rainy or muddy weather, having a robo mop take care of the mess is a real help. ... on our hardfloors, the robos are an excellent support and really do lighten the workload ... the convenienve of not needing to mop the house after you worked for a full day is worth it to us. ... So, 30 minutes for 7 days a week comes down to 3.5 hours of mopping saved. ... So if you want your floors to be somewhat halfway clean, you need to mop them daily (at least once). So yes, for us, the mopping robot makes a lot of sense and is a real help."
"the automatic mop cleaning works like a charm"
"The roborock S7 has objectively the best performance while keeping some autonomy (dock station, etc). ... yes, new units are slightly more hands-free but are worse at cleaning. ... I'd say the roborock s7 is the best solution if your mom is constantly cleaning, especially if she owns a dyson with laser. ... not a single one will clean traces of fine dust that lasers highlight (or that you'd notice walking bare foot). I have tested many of the new models and I keep going back to either the vis nav or the S7, these two are the only ones that have decent vacuuming performance."

"It did a perfect job so far, I only have to empty/fill the water tanks in the station once a week (the robot vacuums the whole flat everyday and mops the flat twice a week)."

"We bought a S7 and it broke down just a little over a year. ... Then it broke down again after a couple of months and we gave up on it."
"they all started having mopping issues after 8-9 months"
"Roborock S7. it arrived with a defective vibrarise, that roborock said that I had to chip it to china to be replaced. It would be very expensive and at the time, I fixed the vibrarise by myself. ... No. I ordered it from a local store. At arrival, I noticed the problem and they claimed to be just resellers, because roborock isn't sold officially in Brazil. Then, they mailed me the purchase certificate that had the data required to ask for roborock warranty. I contacted them and they asked for proof of the defect. No problem, I filmed it, uploaded it and shared it with them. No one watched the video (I checked the stats) and yet, they accepted the bot as defective. They then said that would repair it for free, but I had to ship it to mainland China at my own expense. The guy said that the return would be paid by them. The catch: I had to ship it as I received it. The whole box, with everything inside and not just the bot. I'm glad that I didn't purchase the version with the self emptying dock (I purchased it as an extra, not in the same box). With that, I gave up on warranty. I tracked the defective part and the cost would be 1/10 of the value required to chip the bot. I'm skilled enough to replace it and saw their offer as laughable, because those guys said that it was a defect impossible to fix at home (it's difficult, but I did it anyway)."

"I have hair just above the shoulders and it would get very stuck on my roborock s7."
"Näin 3 pitkäkarvaisen koiran taloudessa laite on puhdistettava aikalailla joka rundin jälkeen telaa ja sivuharjaa myöten, se on niin täynnä tavaraa."
"that long hair got stuck on the S7 all the time."

"It will pick up much more dust, dirt, hair, cat litter and other debris than the S7. ... It performs very similarly to the S7, and has a very similar vacuuming module with the upgraded rollers that reduce hair tangling. The S8 just picks up far more dust, dirt and hair than the Saros 10R. As a vacuum cleaner only, the Saros 10R does a fairly average job."
"my S7 has been having trouble picking stuff up even after swapping the filters and brushes"
"Having two dogs I would go on record saying that the S7 does a less worse job than the S8 on short pile carpets. ... But still to get it somewhat okayish clean, I use a normal vacuum twice a week"

"they all started having mopping issues after 8-9 months"
"What I don't like is the mechanism in the dock to wash the mops. It is complicated and requires too much maintenance. Without good, frequent maintenance, the S8's mop cleaning mechanism will fill up with mud, hair and debris and can clog. The same is true for the mechanism for washing the mops in the S7's dock."
"The S7 doesn't mop that great... it's just dragging a wet rag."

"the robot has no obstacle avoidance ... In terms of obstacles, that‘s pretty much the main reason why I added the 10R to my other floor where my cat and his toys are, it has great obstacle avoidance."
"If I leave them, they'll get chewed, tangled up.. it'll take robo 5x the amount of time to navigate around crap and by the time it cleans up some rooms it'll run out of battery."
"considering it has no obstacle avoidance whatsoever."
from a roborock users perspective (S7 pro here, works OK but still lots of thinkering) I would say the same.
I have the S7 Pro Ultra. Definitely kept up with all the regular maintenance, filter cleaning/sensor cleaning/brush changing all of it. I’m a type A ‘clean with a toothbrush’ type of person, the type of person that uses Reddit and will disassemble her mop/vacuum to fix it. 🤣 Super disappointing seeing as customer service could easily resolve the issue by just mailing me the replacement part. I thought I was being thoughtful by not insisting in sending it in for repair and them paying for shipping given I have dated screenshots of when the error first occurred and it was inside the warranty window (instead of the 5 day after the window when I finally emailed).

I had a Shark VacMop and that thing was only doing a basic job. Especially the app was very bad and the mapping/navigation was not really accurate. Now I've got a Roborock S7 Pro Ultra and that thing is doing a really great job. The mapping/navigation is premium and the automatic mop cleaning works like a charm. The app is also great, so I would recommend to buy such a robot, there are even good used ones (mine was also a second hand purchase). Dreame seems to be also quite good but I don't have any experience with that brand.
I have the Roborock for almost 2 months now and I bought it in used condition. The pre-owner used it for around 18 months. I'm very pleased that the robot contained some spare parts, especially those which are meant to be exchanged after some months of extensive usage. It did a perfect job so far, I only have to empty/fill the water tanks in the station once a week (the robot vacuums the whole flat everyday and mops the flat twice a week).
My s7 max ultra pro - whatever that model is that mops and has a base station - died a couple weeks ago. Picked up the curv flow 2. My home is all hardwood or tile. I have several long hair pets. The vacuum is quieter. Looks to do a better job. The 2 front brushes do a better job pulling things into the middle. The anti tangle roller does seem to work better. I have only delt with one tangle so far. I think the room corners are a little cleaner too. I like the mopping. The hardwoods are set for less water on them. They dry a lot faster than the S7. I think the tile is a little cleaner than before. Walking around the house barefooted feels better than it used to. The mop moving out to the side does seem to help get the edges a bit cleaner. The main room of the house is hardwood floors. We normally end up vacuuming it twice a day. The mop is a lot higher off the ground. The s7, when not mopping still looked like the mop was being dragged around. The snow and ice is melting so the dogs are bringing in more mud. It definitely seems to be keeping up with that. I don't like the camera being outward facing while docked. The s7 was nice that when charging the camera faced into the doc. This one faces out into the room. I think that was even part of the marketing of the S7. They just stopped mentioning it with the new models. No pet accidents yet. When it does happen, I don't think it's going to be any easier to clean than the old one. The AI dirty spot detector will go over the extra dirty spots a couple times. It will take a picture before washing so you can see it. So far all the pictures I have looked at have just been sunlight reflected off of the floor. None of your accessories from the S7 will work with it. Completely different mop and roller assemblies. The vacuum bags are different size.
I have 4 husky dogs and two yorkshires live next to a forest (100m away) and we bring load of dirt everyday. i have used many roombas like Roborock S7 Max (The one with vibrating pad) and Shark AI Ultra (Same pad) and found these types smudge it all over the floor like smeared dirt. i got later an ecovacs x1 with spining blades and it helped a lot as it changed the water often and washed the mops but my issue was that while it cleaned well it was bad at doing corners so i had black streaks all over. i used then an eureka j15 with spinning mop (like a roll not the blades) and it was very good but the mapping was horrid and it kept getting lost or spinning in circles. i got in end an ecovacs x5 pro with the spinning blades which i find best for mud as these pull water and made it every 10 min to clean the pads + empty dirt bag and it worked, it did not smear it at all etc.. the only issue with the X5 is that the app is okay it is not perfect and slightly buggy (roborock one was good). so in short: vibrating pads for dirt is a big NO, rolling mop is great (as it rolls basically and on top it is basically scrubbed and the dirty water is getting to a dirty container which may be great if you got more dirt than me) and rolling blades are great too when you are on budget. check used refurbs on amazon these machines are used for max 3-4h come with new accessories and are like new at like 40-55% MSRP. i got mine at 500euros while new one costs around 1300eur it was used just 37 min and it looked so clean that i was astonished... if you could get a roborock with a rolling mop it would be great if not get an ecovacs but beware you need to play around with the app and set it to clean mops every 10 min ah last thing: YOU NEED HOT WATER CLEANING as this breaks apart the soil and dirt and my x1 was in end full of mud rocks like it condensed and the x5 and j15 poured hot water and dissolved it. also look for a self cleaning station or like x5 with a base which can self clean and you NEED TO TAKE IT OUT to was under a sink as mine is full every day as the residue from forest is thick. also if you get load of fur then get an anti-tangle system.
I do not currently have one. I've got a base S7 with just the charging station that I want to replace. I don't know if hard water is an issue since that wouldn't be a problem for me. I've heard that the dirty water tank can get smelly on the dock, but that it really isn't a big deal. For me the main reasons I wanted it were for even less maintenance to do and for the shorter dock that I could install under my sink. I'd certainly pay the extra $100 for the version that connects to the plumbing, but since the robot I want doesn't have this version, that complicates my decisions.
Our Roborock works well on our hard floors but I do sometimes need to do the rugs manually
I think I have the s7 ultra
Our first was an old hand me down eufy. Just kind of bumbled around randomly. Still helped, but had to maintain a lot. I ended up getting a Roborock s7 ultra that makes a map and mops and vacuums. Run every night in the main rooms and a few times a week in bedrooms and I haven’t cleaned floors manually in months. Helped with old dog (pit bull mix that shed a lot) and new dog (collie with super long hair).
We got a Roborock s7 ultra and it’s so helpful. We have a hairy dog. We haven’t spent time on the floors in months.
I also love my Roborock (S7 ultra I think). Going on two years and only have to do minor maintenance. After my last dog passed, I started to wonder if it was worth it and turned down the frequency, but now I have a new very fluffy collie and it runs every night. On the off chance it doesn’t run (gets stuck, etc - not too often) I can tell right away 🤣
I've only had this a day but really impressed with it. Its half the price of my Roborock S7 Ultra and its got better vacuuming and mopping. The design of the dock is better as it makes maintenance a lot easier with the removable section. I don't have pets but house is 50/50 carpet/tile and no issues with vacuuming or mopping or navigation so far. It did once think the grout between the tile was a wire or cable and try to avoid it.
Get the #5, I got the mova p10 pro ultra. It's amazing. Really impressed compared to my roborock s7 ultra. Also much cheaper
We love our roborock, it can do both simultaneously but we actually make it do vacuum first and then mop separately if we have time.
Yep, 1000% because you dont have to do both at the same time in fact we found we like to vacuum first and then run a mop pass. But in a pinch we cam do both, all with one machine. We have had a few different ones but Roborock has been our favorite so far. We are on year 5 of our S7 Ultra and its still running strong.
