"We have four roborock S7’s running in our 5,000 sqft office. ... Bought them since they first came out years ago. ... They run every day. ... Only last year did we replace the battery for all 4. ... Other than that, no issue at all, rock solid, very pleased that we also have them for our homes too."

"My Roborock S7 does about 2,000 sqft twice a week since 2021, and it's still going strong"

"Mine current us at 1903 hours and 94700 square meters …"

"Roborock gave me hours of my life back and that's not an exaggeration."

"I use routines for everything. My app allows me to create up to ten routines. It is very rare for me to use any other options because everything I need to do has been set up as a routine. I can completely customize the cleaning of any room or collection of rooms. I can even create a routine to clean the same room more than once if I want to. I can then use these routines in my schedules. ... Here you can customize cleaning by room or multiple rooms. You can select vacuuming, mopping, vacuuming and mopping or vacuum first and then mop. And you can select any intensity you want for any of these things. ... That brings us back the this screen where you can tap on any routine to select it and then press the start button. ... From here, I can start any one of them with a single tap."

"with 3 cats and the auto empty feature it is a god send."

"I only had a single problem with my Roborock S7. ... A pipe burst while we are away and the poor thing tried to vacuum a inch of water. ... I replaced the vacuum module and it is working flawlessly 1 and a half years after the incident. ... The fix was 12 dollars and 2 hours of my time."

"Things been daily vacuuming my room for 4 years with minimal maintenance."

"Maintenance is very low, I have had my S7 for years and the only thing I do is empty the bin of the dock every other week, get long hair tangles off of the brush, wash the filter and swipe the sensors every month or so. ... Didn‘t have to replace anything yet."

"in the app it will show you a layout of your home after it runs once which you can separate into rooms. I like this feature as I can schedule my kitchen to run daily and the rest of the house twice a week."

"Its really neat to watch on the app as it goes about your house and maps it out."

"It’s smart enough to know when something is in the way and just works around it. The next time if that thing isn’t there it just cleans as normal."

"After walking them in rainy or muddy weather, having a robo mop take care of the mess is a real help. ... on our hardfloors, the robos are an excellent support and really do lighten the workload ... the convenienve of not needing to mop the house after you worked for a full day is worth it to us. ... So, 30 minutes for 7 days a week comes down to 3.5 hours of mopping saved. ... So if you want your floors to be somewhat halfway clean, you need to mop them daily (at least once). So yes, for us, the mopping robot makes a lot of sense and is a real help."

"does a fantastic job cleaning. ... I used to vacuum at least twice a day to stay on top of the hair. Now I do a "deep" vacuum once a week- baseboards, under carpets, etc."

"The Roborock S7 is a beast with pet hair"

"the pet hair from a single dog makes it a losing proposition. ... Much faster to just use a cordless upright than cleaning wound up hair out of the bottom of the robot multiple times to do a single pass of the floor."

"hated how tangles my S7+ got tangled with it (and my wifes hair)"

"My wife has super long hair which always annoys me - gets stuck on the regular vacuums brush and the roborock s7 (axles, not on the rollers)."

"If I leave them, they'll get chewed, tangled up.. it'll take robo 5x the amount of time to navigate around crap and by the time it cleans up some rooms it'll run out of battery."

"I had the s7+ and the mopping was disappointing. ... I'd avoid any simple dragging mops."

"It will pick up much more dust, dirt, hair, cat litter and other debris than the S7. ... It performs very similarly to the S7, and has a very similar vacuuming module with the upgraded rollers that reduce hair tangling. The S8 just picks up far more dust, dirt and hair than the Saros 10R. As a vacuum cleaner only, the Saros 10R does a fairly average job."

"the robot has no obstacle avoidance ... In terms of obstacles, that‘s pretty much the main reason why I added the 10R to my other floor where my cat and his toys are, it has great obstacle avoidance."

"We bought a S7 and it broke down just a little over a year. ... Then it broke down again after a couple of months and we gave up on it."

"Roborock S7. it arrived with a defective vibrarise, that roborock said that I had to chip it to china to be replaced. It would be very expensive and at the time, I fixed the vibrarise by myself. ... No. I ordered it from a local store. At arrival, I noticed the problem and they claimed to be just resellers, because roborock isn't sold officially in Brazil. Then, they mailed me the purchase certificate that had the data required to ask for roborock warranty. I contacted them and they asked for proof of the defect. No problem, I filmed it, uploaded it and shared it with them. No one watched the video (I checked the stats) and yet, they accepted the bot as defective. They then said that would repair it for free, but I had to ship it to mainland China at my own expense. The guy said that the return would be paid by them. The catch: I had to ship it as I received it. The whole box, with everything inside and not just the bot. I'm glad that I didn't purchase the version with the self emptying dock (I purchased it as an extra, not in the same box). With that, I gave up on warranty. I tracked the defective part and the cost would be 1/10 of the value required to chip the bot. I'm skilled enough to replace it and saw their offer as laughable, because those guys said that it was a defect impossible to fix at home (it's difficult, but I did it anyway)."

"Sent it into to get repaired and had to pay to some weird PayPal account. ... And it was packaged very poorly when shipped back."

I got a Roborock S7+ barely used for $150 on ebay. It vacuums, it mops, and it makes my life easier. Worth it.

Definitely don’t need to be spending 800 on a good one. I have a Roborock S7+, it cleans very well plus mops and has an auto empty dock, it’s fantastic. Check out Geekbuying they have great deals on them

If it’s just about reliable carpet cleaning, I’d stick with something like the Roborock S7 or S7+ if you can find one, solid vacuums, last years, and handle cat hair really well. No need to chase the newest bells and whistles.

My house is almost 4k sq ft and I’ve never mopped myself. I have one for each floor. Thank you little robot vacuums. They are the employees of the month year round. There is something about waking up to a glistening floor and perfect vacuum lines in the carpet. Roborock has too many models but it was nice because I could buy a version for my exact needs, so upstairs is a stronger vacuum with the vibrating mopping pad, while downstairs is all wood so that one has less vacuum power but oscillating scrub mop pads. And it’s all the same brand, so a single app to control both and many interchangeable parts.

Rubber rollers matter a lot for pet hair. Our Roborock S7+ barely tangles and the self-empty dock only needs attention every few weeks

I just got the Eufy E28 and it is quieter than the S7+ that I was using previously. The auto emptying is definitely loud though. I have a lot of pets and have had zero tangles so far with the split brush, which was the biggest reason I upgraded vacuums at all. I am happy with how little I've had to touch it, which has been nothing at all after the initial filling of water. The obstacle avoidance is good so far for my cords and such, but I cant speak to something like the edge of a blanket yet. It has a feature that goes over dirty areas again if it senses a heavily soiled area. There seems to be a feature where the vacuum will inspect the area after its done cleaning to see if there are stains left behind.

Whirlpool’s solid and reliable, especially for dryers. Samsung/LG are flashy but can be hit or miss and LG is usually better of the two. For robot vacs, check out Roborock Q5+ or S7+..it is great with hair, better than Ecovacs IMO. Stick to budget-friendly, easy-to-move stuff since it’s a rental.

r/homeownersAre robot vacuums worth it? I’ve got 4 small kids and I’m always sweeping up the kitchen. Now I have a crawling baby so I’m thinking about getting a robot vacuum, preferably the mop/vacuum kind but they are so expensive! Curious if they are worth it and an investment.

I have the Roborock S7+ Ultra. Have had it for a while and run it at least once a week. Does a great job of cleaning the floors. Still use a cordless vacuum to get hard to reach spots. Ideally, I'd run it everyday but I have cats that leave their toys on the floor all the time. If I don't pick them up, they'll eventually get picked up by the vacuum. Definitely spend on the higher end vacuums as they can actually map out your home and systemically go through the entire room for 100% coverage.

Hey i bought my S7+ at full price and I've had it maybe 4ish years? I do really love it. The mopping could be better tbd and the pads do get a little stinky but with 3 cats and the auto empty feature it is a god send. I don't have any experience with any other brand but like 95% of the time it needs 0 maintenance. I definitely am just a happy user 😆

That's so strange I've had an S7 for over 4 years with 3 cats and have only had it need my intervention a few times (my fault lol). Recently i got the Q7 M5+ because i have multiple floors and I am relatively lazy and moving it up/down there floors is sometimes a pain when you just want it to clean quickly. The S7 still is going strong on battery life... But i did notice that the Q7 has a shorter battery life... But it was 1/5th the cost of the S7 originally was. Anyone thinking about getting a Roomba should steer clear. They're in bankruptcy right now and there's speculation about if they will continue to support their products after. It doesn't seem like they have a buyer yet either.

I paid $249.99 for the Roborock on July 9 of this year. Don't buy it until it comes down to that price for BF or CM. I like it! Although i have another Roborock S7 and this model doesn't come with the mop riser or vibrating mop pad. The battery is also smaller. But it does well and it can climb a higher lip than my older S7 into the bathroom. We got this for another floor... Other than that we're happy and have had no problems.

I have a Roborock S7+ that sits and collects dust because the pet hair from a single dog makes it a losing proposition. Much faster to just use a cordless upright than cleaning wound up hair out of the bottom of the robot multiple times to do a single pass of the floor.
