"significantly worse object avoidance than than the Dreame x40 and L40 ... The best feature of the L40/X40/p10 pro ultra is that they have class leading object avoidance so you don't have to pick up your cat's toys or prep your house every time you want to run the robot meaning you can run it on a daily schedule which will keep your house cleaner. ... I run my X40s daily and they never get stuck on cables, cat toys and other random junk that ends up on the floor."
"The X40 is so far ahead in the object avoidance realm that it's not even a contest. ... I have my Dreame X40 running at midnight every day and never have to worry about it getting stuck on something or caught on something because it's object avoidance works so well, even in the dark and on all surfaces. ... It stays clear of cat toys, cords, socks, paper towels and all sorts of random household junk. ... the fact that I can run the Dreame daily will keep my house cleaner."
"The obstacle avoidance is also very good and I only have the pet in house setting on for pet messes and it recognizes my fake dog poop all the time and drive around it."

"I’ve seen on the camera the poor guy making multiple trips to self empty while in one room but it’s cut the hair buildup tenfold."
"With three they can just make it to a full week for emptying. ... Life changing."
"One huge leg up for a Shark over Roomba is that the brush roller is similar to a vacuum (e.g. hard plastic), whereas the roomba is a plastic roller with a rubber cover that is DESTROYED by dog fur and you have to frequently replace."

"VibraRise works ... especially if you spray some floor cleaning solution on the mop before installing it, it works wonders!"
"especially mopping... is great."
"The S8 can mop, and is a huuuuge upgrade compared to the Roomba."

"I run all three of my robovacs simultaneously through Home Assistant. It has a steep learning curve, but it is so unbelievably powerful that any other system seems primitive in comparison. ... I can specify which robovac should clean what area or room in my house, and exactly how they should do so, entirely by voice commands that trigger Home Assistant automations. ... It looks like eventually, there will not be anything I could do in the app that I cannot do within Home Assistant, and I can do everything for three robovacs simultaneously."
"Hook that sucker up to your plumbing and you'll never have to bother with refilling and draining the mopping bins. ... It's fantastic."
"the ability to have a daily vacuum and mop routine without doing it ourselves is well worth it!"

"I would say that the resolution and technicalities are probably one of, if not the best in the price range."
"It vacuums like a beast ... It is hard to find a robovac that vacuums better at any price. ... my two S8s vacuum fantastically well, especially on rugs and carpets. ... They are my benchmarks for testing other robovacs. ... The S8s always come back with far more in their dustbins than any robovac I send in first. ... I have even tried this in reverse. The S8s come back with full dustbins and the newly repaired robovac comes back almost empty. ... The S8s just vacuum better."
"The S8 Pro was the best that I had ever tested until I tested the S8 maxv ultra and it replaced that."

"Be able to go over bath mats/water absorbent mats well. When my robot goes over it, it constantly lifts the edge up and makes it look like it’s trying to hump the bottom side of the carpet. This doesn’t happen if I meticulously use the remote control function."
"the robot has no obstacle avoidance ... In terms of obstacles, that‘s pretty much the main reason why I added the 10R to my other floor where my cat and his toys are, it has great obstacle avoidance."
"The Saros also managed to get itself stuck under one of our sofas and got scratched in the process (the back of the sofa has a higher opening, it tried to exit through the sides which are lower than 8 cm)."

"It's a piece of shit that can't handle basic pet hair (non visible to eye) without clogging."
"hair tangles ... I had to touch the S8 way too often to remove tangles which meant I ran it less and less."

"The biggest issue for me is that the moist chunks gum up the vac tray in the dock and I have to clean it regularly. ... It’s the plumbing that empties the dust from the vacuum. The robot scoops up wet barf chunks that get in the dust bin and when the dock empties the dust bin the wet chunks stick to the dock and when they dry it’s like concrete since they mix with cat hair and dust that gets swept up. I have to unscrew the dust bin emptying chute and clean it in the sink and sometimes need a screwdriver to scrape the stuff off."
"the dock was even more of a pain to clean ... the little brush on the dock was disgusting to clean"
"now the dock doesn't dispense water when cleaning mops or washpad, so there's no longer any mop cleaning."

"below average mopping ... The mop itself just doesn’t do well with only vibrating plus it dragged on the carpets."
"The self mopping feature imo is not worth it"
"stuck on or big messes need manual intervention."

"I still hate spending the money because it's not cheap and I don't make the kind of money that people who own these types of expenditures have"
"And for whatever reason it does all the same stuff as the S8 max or whatever they call it, just with spinny mops instead of vibrating, for much cheaper."
"The robot vacuum companies get you on the replacement parts, which are not cheap."
I have a roborock S8 - it does an ok job - valetudo is not supported yet as roborock have gone to lengths to prevent it using different encryption keys on the bootloader, I guess they want your data and need it connected to their cloud. Maybe this is because it has two cameras on it. The dust bin is small so if you have carpets it fills up quickly with fibres. The option for auto emptying dock is very expensive The solution is to vacuum more often than you would normally then it doesn't fill up so fast. If you are privacy focussed and want valetudo look at what is supported and recommended by those folks
r/homeassistant • What's your TOP PICK for the best Robot Vacuum Mop today? ->I recommend Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, It is a top-tier option with powerful suction, AI obstacle avoidance, and fully automated maintenance (self-emptying, self-washing, and self-refilling). Ideal for hands-free cleaning with excellent navigation and deep carpet + hard floor performance.
r/RobotVacuums • What's the best robot vacuum? ->I have the Roborock S8 Ultra and with 3 pets, I absolutely love mine. Best investment I ever made. I will say the mop function doesn’t do a perfect job but it’s good enough to keep me sane throughout the work week. I have it vacuum and mop every day during the week and then on the weekend I have it do a double vacuum and I steam mop once myself. I clean the unit and change the mop pad once a week and that seems to be good enough.
r/CleaningTips • Will I regret getting a robot vacuum? ->Can anyone share their experience with the obstacle avoidance of the Q10 S5+? How does it handle cables and small items like socks? I previously had the S8 and it did a pretty good job with avoiding obstacles and generally was a great robot, I decided to upgrade to a model with an empty station and wondering if I should I go with the Q10 S5+ which is more budget friendly (and has the smallest station I saw) or maybe invest in the pricier s8+
r/Roborock • My first robot: the elusive Q10 S5 ->Lmao these numbers i bought an s8 refurbished with 20 hrs usage for 200 and it changed my life
r/Roborock • Should I drop $1800 on a robot vacuum or go cheaper? ->It's definitely an upgrade to the standard dragging a wet cloth. Flagship Saros 10 is using vibrarise too but its a bit more updated and has more vibration and downward pressure. Not sure how big of a difference in terms of performance it is compared to the S8. If you can find S8 for a good price then I think you wont be disappointed I also think when choosing between rotating and Vibration mops its about preference and what type of floor you have. The rotating mops are using more water I believe and could have a tendency to leave wet streaks on floors
r/Roborock • Is the VibraRise System of the S8 worth it? ->I prefer the s8 maxv ultra over the edge (returned the edge) the vacuuming is significantly better on the s8. The mopping is okay compared to the edge. My floors actually seemed worse with dirt after using the edge.
r/Roborock • Roborock: S8 MaxV Ultra vs Qrevo Edge S5A vs Qrevo Curv - which one? ->Not worth it. Paid full price for the S8 maxv ultra last year and It not worth it I can tell you. Go cheaper.
r/Roborock • Should I drop $1800 on a robot vacuum or go cheaper? ->Until these later models came out, the S8 maxv ultra was my favorite
r/RobotVacuums • I write about robot vacuums for a living. AMA. ->1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and 3i S10 Ultra. 2. Switchbot K10+ Pro/Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra 3. Dreame X50/Saros 10 4. Most of these robots are produced in Asia. As such, support is rough for most of the companies. They go on holiday and the support department shuts down entirely. Their support is on overnight for us in the US. If support was the biggest issue, I'd look at US based brands.
r/RobotVacuums • I write about robot vacuums for a living. AMA. ->I'm surprised how much I actually enjoy these threads. So I'm going to kill two of yours and reintroduce one. I don't think those are the right q revos to look at... If anything I'd say the max V. But I can make it easy because if you can afford the robots that you're talking about I think it comes down to four models. The s8 maxv ultra which shakes out to be the best of the S8 line. The curv, which is also excellent, but slightly different from the s8. Saros 10 Saros 10r Do you have thresholds? If so, get the 10. Do you have a lot of obstacles on your floor? Like a fan and lamps and furniture and other crap small spaces that the robot needs to go into? If so, get a 10r, even if you have thresholds. You don't have thresholds or small spaces, I would consider the S8 or curv, because they're excellent, and dramatically cheaper. And excepting the issue with thresholds, I'm not highly sold that the Saros are $700 better. And the best part is, there is no wrong answer. The main differentiator is the shape of the tower and that the curv has twin spinning mops and the s8 has a vibrating mop pad. Because you have ceramic tile, and I do too, that means you have grime. For that reason I recommend the s8. I believe the vibrating pad does better on grind
r/RobotVacuums • Stuck On Deciding Which Robot To Get ->I'm always going to go with the vibrating pad. It just does seem to get grind up better even on my hardwoods.
r/RobotVacuums • Stuck On Deciding Which Robot To Get ->Hi. I review robots for a living. That store link was super helpful. My advice is simple: get a roborock. I think the S8 Maxv Ultra is a fantastic model, around $1000. The Saros 10/10R are also there, and also great. Personally, i prefer a mop pad, so I'd say the 10, not the 10R. The prices are close enough that I'd say the Saros might be worth these few $$. I don't enjoy either model you named...the Mova has cheap hardware, and the X9 was incredibly Meh in performance.
r/RobotVacuums • Trying to overcome the mind-boggling world of Robot Vacuum ->this is easy! Freo Z uses too much water, you have to refill it ALL THE TIME. hard pass. Dreame x40 is.. good... but not great. The S8 MaxV Ultra is truly great.
r/RobotVacuums • Help me choose: Narwal Freo Z Ultra vs. Roborock S8 MaxV vs. Dreame X40 Ultra. ->Sure. Let me talk about it a little. I think the S8MVU stays that high priced because it continues to have such favor. It was most reviewers top pick (I don't have another explanation, this is a guess). And honestly, it shares most of the functionality in the Saros. Don't worry about the Pa (suction)... its not as important, by far, [https://lifehacker.com/home/how-to-choose-best-robot-vacuum](https://lifehacker.com/home/how-to-choose-best-robot-vacuum) The Saros is a jump ahead, but usually, I feel its not enough of a jump ahead to justify the 700$ difference between the S8MVU and the Saros. I think it's 300$+/- worth. So, if its within that range, go with a Saros. Now, WHICH Saros. the 10 is like the S8, and the 10R like the Qrevo. I prefer the 10 for mopping, and the 10R on navigation. It's a split. Either would likely make you happy. Bottom line: I know its a huge decision, but if you make yourself crazy overthinking it, it's not worth it. Any of these three will be great robots.
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy ->Ugh. Roombas. In either floor, I think the answer is an s8 MaxV Ultra or a Saros 10R. Roborock towers, i'm pretty sure, have hepa filters on the tower, and you can replace the fine dust filter on the robot itself as often as you think necessary (it should be cleaned much more often than most people do). Althought the S8 is fantastic, i think the saros might be better in the bedrooms because it uses cameras in addition to the LiDAR, and navigating under beds might be better. In either case, I think you'll be quite happy. Here's the s8: [https://amzn.to/45VQExU](https://amzn.to/45VQExU) and the 10R [https://amzn.to/44xZsHS](https://amzn.to/44xZsHS)
r/RobotVacuums • Prime Day Recommendations by Price Band - These are the robots I'd buy ->This absolutely clocks with my Outlook, which is actually quite reassuring. The S8 Pro was the best that I had ever tested until I tested the S8 maxv ultra and it replaced that.
r/RobotVacuums • Vacuum Wars - Please explain to me ->great news! Almost ANY roborock you get (for that matter, any robot) is going to far surpass your i7 experience. I would not grab the Q5, TBH. There is, actually a very big difference between $500 and $1000 robots, but if I may recommend... I'd say the best CURRENT value on a Roborock is the Curv/Edge, the S8 MaxV Ultra and the QRevo MaxV. While the Saros are great... I don't think they're better \*enough\* than the models listed about to justify the price. Also, I'd wait for Prime Day, regardless. Also, I test robots for a living for Lifehacker, and am not sponsored by anyone, and test robots in my very real house.
r/Roborock • How does one decide which Roborock to get ->ThW s8 line from roborock is great.
r/RobotVacuums • Every Prime Day Robovac and Recommendations ->That s7 is pretty outdated at this point. If you could upgrade to the s8 MaxV Ultra (which is going to be under 1000 on the Roborock site) I'd say go for that over anything else. but if these are the two options, go for the L40. People love the L40... but in comparison to other premium robots. For the current price, its a solid sale.
r/RobotVacuums • First robot vacuum purchase, any strong opinions on these two options? ->Let me tell you something about that. Mop. I know that vibrating mop pads aren't what everybody wants, but they're wrong. Vibrating mopads give your floor the best clean and I don't know why. That's true because it shouldn't be. But it is. I've textured tile and it just cleans the best. The S8 maxv ultra is about a year old, if not older and so it doesn't have some of the ultra modern features like extending arms and drying. But it's a very good robot. Depending on what you paid for it, you might have gotten a very good value. I understand if it's not what you want, but I don't know that the l40 is going to be better. To get the features you're talking about, I think you're going to need to go up to the saros.
r/RobotVacuums • Amanda, Amanda, Amanda!! The Dreame L40 is amazing!! ->I loved the MaxV last year, it felt very modern at the time. A number of features around nav and sweeps have happened since then, so it feels a little out of date. But... I haven't tested all these subvariants of the Qrevo listed above. The arc looks like the Curv.... so not sure why its named differently.
r/Roborock • Which Roborock model to buy from Costco ? ->Do me a favor. see what the S8 MaxV Ultra is running right now.
r/RobotVacuums • Curv S5X vs S1 Pro vs X50 vs Saros 10 - busy house w/ kids ->that's accurate, FWIW. The 10 is a a clear successor to the S8 line and the 10R is closer to the QRevo line. Generally, i think the Saros 10 is worth a few hundred bucks more than the s8 maxv ultra, but not like, 700 more, which is what it usually is.
r/RobotVacuums • Curv S5X vs S1 Pro vs X50 vs Saros 10 - busy house w/ kids -># [Under $300](https://amzn.to/48R0G4J) Generally speaking, I think its rare you find a great robot at this price, and I've discussed why there's some sense in [not spending the money on real discount robots](https://www.whatrobotvacuumshouldiget.com/2025/06/20/are-budget-robot-vacuums-worth-buying/). Still... there are a few gems worth looking at, as more expensive models drop under this threshold. *If I were buying at this price point, I'd get:* If you're more concerned about a mop, get the 3i. (its great at both, to be clear, but it has the best mop of the bunch). I really like the 3i brand, they're not new, they've been making robots for other companies for years. The G10 is stripped down from premium models, but it had the same sweeper>roller design that is so effective on the higher end models. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* If you've got a smaller place, or a place with many floor objects, try a Switchbot. Because they're so small, they can get between chair legs and make a small radius around things. Switchbot just doesn't get enough attention, IMO. Lots of people purchased the [K10+ Pro](https://lifehacker.com/tech/switchbot-k10-plus-robot-vacuum-review) on my recommendation during Prime Day and have posted about how happy they are. The 11 made the tower smaller and improved some other specs, but is mostly the same model. The perfect apartment, studio, or office vac. Performs spectacularly well as a vacuum, particularly given the price and stats, but it is ONLY a vacuum. I, personally, do not enjoy Eufy models, and on the whole, [did not enjoy the E20](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eufys-e20-robot-vacuum-ces-2025). I thought it was clunky and not particularly great at any of the 3 things it was trying to do, but people in this sub LOVE Eufy, so at this price point, if you're so determined, this is the one I'd get. In a similar vein, if you love Roborock, a brand I usually recommend highly, I usually think you should grab the most expensive one you can afford (with some exceptions). In this case, its the Q10 X5+, which is the least expensive RR model with auto empty. |Model|Original Price|Sale Price|Discount| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[SwitchBot Robot Vacuum K11+](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1VV8DEM3PE45Q?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aip_sf_list_spv_s_ons_mixed_d_ZETGMH20VCWTGQZB8K55)|399.99|199.99|50%| |[3i G10+ (Extra 5% off code: G10USAVE5)](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/FVNUE2WZGPL6?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_DHPS311DEF2TY465HP1G_2)|449.99|229.99|49%| |[eufy Robot Vacuum 3-in-1 E20](https://amzn.to/4oi284o)|449.99|297.49|34%| |[Roborock Q10 X5+](https://amzn.to/4pDZjfb)|499.99|299.99|40%| # [Under $500](https://amzn.to/4o4MPMA) *If I were buying at this price point, I'd get:* The [Eureka J15 Ultra](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eurekas-j15-pro-ultra-robot-vacuum-mop-review) is better than it should be. I loved the sweeper design, it moved debris off hard floors and carpet very effectively and would be my pick for carpet. Rarely got stuck on anything or reported errors, and it was just really reliable. I recommended this model during Prime Day, and got a lot of good feedback from folks who picked it up. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* The Dreame L40 Ultra is a great deal at half off, and I thought it did a great job getting into spaces, but wasn't great at mapping originally when[ I tested it](https://lifehacker.com/tech/dreame-l40-ultra-robot-vacuum-review). But it was a damn good vacuum, and a pretttty ok mop. if you find that take disappointing, at this price point, you're still asking a lot of a robot, so set expectations appropriately. I mention the Ecovacs T30S for the same reason as the Eufy 3-in-1. Altho I found it a bit of a pain to put away attachments each time you wanted to use the handheld, I can see the advantage of having a combo unit instead of separate stick and robot. And, [in my review](https://lifehacker.com/tech/ecovacs-deebot-t30s-combo-review), I did think both did a relatively good job, and the sale on this unit is hard to ignore. *If you're determined to get a Eufy:* Get the X10 Pro Omni. it was the first Eufy in a while [I didn't hate](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eufy-x10-pro-omni-review), it was actually pretty decent. Its a lot more decent at this price point. *If you're determined to get a Roborock:* I liked the Qrevo line, altho I prefer the S8/Saros line for their mops. While the tech feels a little outdated to me, the S5V has a few little upgrades to the suction and the roller design that make it worthwhile at this price. |Model|Original Price|Sale Price|Discount| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[Eureka J15 Ultra](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1E209CQWY09EI?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_34VHK3G8D2127CHKQD4K_6)|699.99|489.99|30%| |[Dreame L40 Ultra](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1I876TQNP7R2I?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_34VHK3G8D2127CHKQD4K_4)|849.99|419.99|50%| |[Ecovacs T30S COMBO](https://amzn.to/4pxNCqa)|1199.99|449.99|63%| |[Roborock Qrevo S5V](https://amzn.to/48CuYYw)|899.99|499.99|44%| |[eufy X10 Pro Omni, black](https://amzn.to/4pTFKAp)|899.99|499.99|44%| # [Under $750](https://amzn.to/4nypaUV) At this price point, you are going to get some previous flagship, high end models that its reasonable to have high expectations of. *If I were buying at this price point, I'd get:* the 3i P10 Ultra. For a machine that does everything this does, as well as it does? This is the actual steal at this price point. It feels like a new brand, but its not, remember 3i has been making everyone else's robots for years. I'm so impressed w this model line, and I'm not the only one. Google around. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* As a flagship, I thought the Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni [could do better](https://lifehacker.com/tech/ecovacs-deebot-x9-pro-omni-review) with large debris, but overall, was still impressed. What sticks out to me is how good looking it was. But with the price dropped to $700, I'm comfortable recommending it. The extending roller mop was my first to try, and I thought it did a good job as it reached to the wall and under toekicks. *If you're determined to get a Eufy:* I guess the S1 Pro? People in this sub love this model, [I did not](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eufy-omni-s1-pro-robot-vacuum-review), but it wasn't the worst. ::shrug:: *If you're determined to get a Roborock:* This time last year, I thought the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra was the [best unit on the market](https://lifehacker.com/tech/roborock-s8-maxv-ultra-review). A year changes a lot, because there have been so many advancements, but do not mistake that this is still a spectacular vacuum. |Model|Original Price|Sale Price|Discount| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[3i P10 Ultra (Extra 5% off code: P10USAVE5)](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/266IAZ1CMQ9SB?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_DHPS311DEF2TY465HP1G_1)|1099.9|650|59%| |[eufy Robot Vacuum Omni S1 Pro, Black](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1KPAGDZB7O3NR?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aip_sf_list_spv_s_ons_mixed_d_B8MRYW3W9PVQCC6T59VF)|1499.99|699.99|53%| |[Ecovacs X9 PRO OMNI](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/2I911B3GQ74BQ?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_DHPS311DEF2TY465HP1G_4)|1299.99|699.99|46%| |[roborock S8 MaxV Ultra](https://amzn.to/43QFGrG)|1899.99|749.99|58%| # [Under $900](https://amzn.to/4oad9oS) *If I were buying at this price point, I'd get:* I talk about it so much that people here think I'm a paid shill (I'm not) but my dream machine is the [3i S10 Ultra](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/30BOBXMFSK3WK?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_DHPS311DEF2TY465HP1G). It has the largest sweeps I've seen, and eats the biggest debris I've seen in a robot, all without getting clogged. It's the best roller mop I've tried (I tried the narwal and the dreame). And.... it has onboard sanitizing and makes its own water so you never have to change out the dirty water or refill it. [Here was my review](https://lifehacker.com/tech/3i-s10-ultra-robot-vacuum-mop-review). Now, that's the good stuff. It also weighs like 50 lbs. It looks like an exhibit at a kids science museum. Some people on here have said it smells mildewy (I haven't experienced that but it makes sense, it IS a dehumidifier, that's how it makes water). You can search for people's impressions and other reviews besides mine, but that's my #1 recco. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* The Dreame L50 Ultra has a noticeable discount, and has many of the charms [I admired in the X50](https://lifehacker.com/tech/dreame-x50-ultra-robot-vacuum-review), like some threshold climbing, some major suction, and hot water cleaning. *If you're determined to get a Roborock:* In this price bracket are both the Roborock Slim, the Qrevo and the CurvX. Here's why I ultimately say, go with the CurvX. With the retracting LIDAR, you're still getting a pretty slim robot (though, of course, not AS slim as the Slim), and for $50 more the Curv/Slim, get the CurvX, which has more suction, hot water washing, etc |Model|Original Price|Sale Price|Discount| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[Dreame L50 Ultra](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1H34OZE61D1JV?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_34VHK3G8D2127CHKQD4K_3)|1399.99|849.99|39%| |[Roborock Qrevo CurvX](https://amzn.to/48d8bm9)|1499.99|849.99|43%| |[3i S10 Ultra (Extra 5% off code: S10USAVE5)](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/30BOBXMFSK3WK?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_DHPS311DEF2TY465HP1G)|1299.9|899.99|31%| # [Over $900](https://amzn.to/48OKBMY) This is where all the heavy hitters fell. My friend K says that the reason I'm trustworthy is that I'm always telling him to not buy things. So let me start here with what I'm NOT recommending, because you'll ask. I know everyone is excited about the Dreame Aqua and the Narwal Flow, but I think there are better roller mops out there, and I didn't feel either was significantly better than similarly priced non roller mops (the 3i S10). I really didn't love the Aqua, it leaked. The Flow was better. But not better than my picks in this category. The Saros Z70 is a fantastical concept I got super excited about, but wasn't great in practice. I haven't tested the X11, so that's my only reason I'm not recommending it. So what I DO recommend: The two models below are both excellent vacuums, mops and all around robots. They are highly comparable and while you could make yourself crazy comparing, stop. You'll be delighted with EITHER. I promise. These are great sale prices. |Model|Original Price|Sale Price|Discount| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |[Dreame X50 ultra](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/1H34OZE61D1JV?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_34VHK3G8D2127CHKQD4K_1)|1699.99|999.99|41%| |[Roborock Saros 10R](https://www.amazon.com/shop/amandablumstiktok/list/3QN77VNVN022D?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aip_sf_list_spv_s_ons_mixed_d_3GVYP91HJC73QH3A2XK1)|1599.99|999.99|34%| If you're looking for ALL the models on sale for Black Friday, they're [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1p2d4qy). For some context, I [write about robovacs](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1l48fms/i_write_about_robot_vacuums_for_a_living_ama/) both for an online pub and my own site, and we get access to prices beforehand, so long as we don't share them before brands ask us (embargo). I shared similar information and advice for [Prime Day](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1ljl8wd/prime_day_deals/), and people were generally pretty [happy](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1m0sjou/amanda_amanda_amanda_the_dreame_l40_is_amazing/) w the recommendations from the feedback. Feel free to ask questions. I'll also produce a list of recommendations per price band in another thread. I'm not sure these are ALL the deals out there, but these are what's been released to me (that's off embargo). These are affiliate links, I had mod permission (I assume, still).
r/RobotVacuums • I'm a robot reporter, here's my Black Friday recommendations by price band ->happy to. I really liked the j15 line, and for the price point on sale I think its a great deal.
r/RobotVacuums • I'm a robot reporter, here's my Black Friday recommendations by price band ->yeah, turns out they lowered it more than they told me. I have to correct the graph, just been busy replying to comments. I think its a GREAT price and a very good buy
r/RobotVacuums • I'm a robot reporter, here's my Black Friday recommendations by price band ->New? Great deal then. It's basically not worse than Saros if you don't need 8 cm clearance under furniture. The suction power is just numbers. What's practically worse in comparison is that it doesn't have totally zero tangle brush (you'll have to remove hair once a month) and it doesn't have liftable chasis unlike Saros. If you don't mind cleaning the brush sometimes and don't have thresholds higher than 2 cm - you are good to go with S8 MaxV. Saros can also leave mops at dock, but S8 MaxV mitigates it other way by lifting the mops 20mm instead of 8mm in Saros.
r/Roborock • I’ve found the S8 MaxV Ultra for 700 EUR - Good Deal? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
