Ran both in my own home: Saros 20 missed 10% fewer obstacles than the X60. Roborock's torque wheels handle cables better if you're lazy like me.

We just got the Saros 20 but honestly i would have gone with the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow considering price and features. The defining reason for choosing Saros is that our bathrooms have very high thresholds. Even so, we're happy with our choice. We're having pets and i don't like the idea of pet hair everywhere. Considering that we plan to use it daily for vacuuming and twice a week for washing the floors for the next 5 years at least, with consumables, i expect a cost of around 1 euro per day over that period, which for us is worth it.

I’m currently considering buying the Saros 20 as well, but it honestly doesn’t make much sense for my situation. I’m coming from an S8, without a cleaning station — and that’s the biggest issue I have with my current one. Unfortunately, some strange problems have also started appearing with it lately; for example, the bumper is regularly reported as stuck, even though it’s been cleaned multiple times. The navigation isn’t great either, and I have several pieces of furniture that a Saros 10R — or even a Saros 20 — could clean under nicely. But the way things stand right now, the premium for the Saros 20 really wouldn’t be worth it. It even had a feature removed — a liftable side brush — and I’m not sure how much that would matter in day-to-day use. These are just the thoughts going through my head at the moment.

**Background** I’ve had the Roborock S8+ since 2023. It was my first and only robot vacuum and ever since getting it I sort of kicked myself for not going all in on one that can wash, dry and refill the mop. I got a surprise work bonus and decided I’d splurge a little on myself and get an upgraded model and went between Roborock Saros 20 and Dreame x60. Ultimately Saros 20 won because of my existing vacuums reliability and my familiarity with Roborock, lacks a turret, and Dreame seems to have navigation issues from my research. **First Impressions** I received the new Saros yesterday from Amazon. The box was beat to hell but the vacuum survived and everything was in good shape. It all setup quick but my biggest complaint here is that it shipped without a charge, and it seemed to take 20 minutes to get it charged enough to reliably boot. From there it’s all straightforward and familiar (and it does charge decently fast compared to my old model, those first 20 minutes to get it going though were rough). Coming from the S8+, I love the dock and spinning mop vs vibrarise. I’ve already used half a tank of water having it clean today. 😂 The dock is very quiet—from drying the mop pads to even having it drive up to dock it’s all an upgrade on noise. Emptying the dust bin is still loud but muffled a little from my last vacuum. I also like that the brush rollers have bristles on them now (my old one was rubber fins) so I’m hoping for better agitation with the improved suction. It mapped the house quickly but had a few trouble spots that didn’t surprise me. I manually drove it to some tougher areas it hesitated on to map. It’s been great at obstacle avoidance, but also maybe too cautious at times. Despite being an inch shorter than my S8+ it’s currently hesitating to drive under my couch but I’m hoping it gets better as it gets fully mapped out. My other problem has been with carpets—it sees oval carpet when all of it is squared or rectangular, creating interesting lines. Again, I think this is it still learning its environment in the first 24 hours. I do love that it can take pictures of the obstacle for direct feedback—nothing beats being able to see what it saw. **Surprises/Pros** 1. Camera — I didn’t know I’d be able to monitor/control remotely or see obstacles. 2. Quiet — it vacuums and maps quietly and the dock is very muffled. 3. Dock Station — I didn’t know it also mixed the cleaning solution as well, so that was cool. It’s very quiet and easy to change the dirty and clean water. I didn’t expect a ton of change here from my old one but, again, even the robot driving on it to dock is quieter. 4. Navigation/Mapping — it added furniture to the maps, created my houses layout quickly, and has been super straightforward. **Oddities/Cons** 1. Carpet recognition — it’s still learning carpet boundaries and giving them weird shapes. It’s been 24 hours so I’m not terribly concerned yet. 2. Zero included accessories — no spare mop heads, no cleaning solution, no extra dust bags. 3. Mapping (sort of) — I wish it could leverage old maps from other vacuums. I get why it can’t, it just is a little annoying to set up rooms again with furniture, divide rooms, etc. (even if it does help). It’s straightforward but…first world problems. 24 hours in, am I happy? Absolutely. The pros vastly outweigh the picky cons. Would buy again and recommend. It’s a great upgrade and I hope it lasts at least five years or so.

Nah, the S8+ dock only empties the dust bin. You have to manually fill onboard water reservoir and change/clean mop pad. I think the S8 Pro at the time had a full docking system, though. And very sure no extras. It looks like Best Buy’s model does include some, but not from Amazon. It’s fine…I’m impatient so I rather have it next day with no extras vs wait a week with a couple freebies but it is odd. To clarify—there was a single dust bag pre-installed, just zero extras of anything to get started quickly (I already had some solution from my last vacuum so I was good, its just odd at this price point to me).

We have the Saros 20 and I have zero complaints.

We had a Dreame x50 ultra that worked ok for about a year before we had to send it in for a side brush issue. It would routinely need to be helped almost every day from obstacles that it was advertised to avoid. After sending it in for repair, it came back with the original issue repaired but had new issues. It sounded like it had a box of Legos in it fresh out of box from the repair center and continuously said the brushes were tangled with nothing in them. We gave up on Dreame and purchased a Saros 20. We have had it for a couple weeks now.... and it JUST WORKS. I fill the clean water, empty the dirty water, and replace the vacuum bag in the base when needed. Thats it. It continues to do its job without me worrying about it. Dreame is never again for me. DO NOT BUY A DREAME.

I have it a couple weeks now (saros20). Good. Vacuums better than my s8max. S8 had trouble vacuuming fine dust. Mapping fast and mostly accurate. It guessed sometimes and I had to edit to correct. Have not tried mopping and truthfully. Mopping looks messy to fill and empty tanks. I never mop with th wrobot Obstacle avoidance has been great so far. Con: the vacuum doesn't like throw rugs. If throw rug has a tag hanging outside its perimeter the high suction often sucks the tag into roller and pulls rug up and over behind it. I have the vacuum error that it's lost while on the rug. I had to watch it a couple times to figure out the problem. cut off the tahgs and problem is gone. The dock for me had to be to set at max suction to empty robot. one time I saw the robot exit the dock and had what looked like a dog's tail hanging off the back. A mixture of lint and hair rolled together. Put the dock on max empty and problem gone. Since I never mop, I learned that climbing onto carpet works better with mops detached. but you can't set robot app on permanent vacuum only. Every time I run app from phone I have to go into app and say vacuum only. Next time I use app its defaulted back to vac and mop. When set on vac only it will leave mop pads in base. I am still learning with this unit and if I learn more, I will post

for instance the edge 2 pro should also be able to climb it, but those tend to brute force steps by yeeting over them which isn't as reliable. The saros 20 line will neatly climb the steps more clever so way more reliable. if you want to be absolutly sure you should go with the saros 20 line for sure.

Interesting cause the saros 20 outside a piece of pasta which it probably could have vacuumed up properly had I let it move to the center has yet to need any recovery where as every vacuum before that has had to be recovered under low furniture or an object it should have avoided being vacuumed. Mine stays cautiously away from cords. I would say if not saros20 the x60 if you need low height. Otherwise narwal flow 2 is supposed to be very good

Roborock Saros 20 has been the only robot I have had, that has yet to need any assistance. I have tried a lot of robots over the past 4 months (about 8) I am guessing the 10R would work just as well if you don't care about strong moping, which is why I didn't get the 10R. I think it's around 800 now.

Saros 20 is coming out in like a week so don't get the 10R. I would get the Saros 20 if you can save a little more. Mobius 60 was good but is very slow at cleaning, also occasionally got stuck with cat hair (4 cats). The Mova z60 was very good as well but got stuck under my furniture a few two many times. If you don't have low furniture the z60 is superior to both the 10R and the Mobius 60 at vacuuming and moping. I would have gladly kept it but for my height limitation. If you can wait till April and the flow 2 is available I would consider that as well, it will probably be the best mop out there.

I own the Saros 20. Prior to that I owned a Mobius 60, Narwal Flow, Z60, and matrix 10 as of recently. The saros 20 is the first vacuum I have owned that has not needed to be recovered due to getting stuck somewhere either due to going under something it couldn't fit, or putting itself surrounded by obstacles (little kids/pet toys) and not being able to figure out the same path it used to get in to get back out. I have 4 cats and the saros 20 has vacuumed the best of the previous mile. Similarly my house is 90% tile/hardwood, with an occasional runner and 2 small low pile carpets in the kids bedrooms (winter gets cold up hereand wood floors are not great for radiant heat). The saros is not as good at mopping as the narwal flow 2. However, the flow 1 got stuck under my furniture cabinet so badly that it actually broke having me remove it. Otherwise, the flow was the best robot of the ones I previously owned within the past 2 years. The saros 20 will pull hair out of the rugs better. Of note it appears the narwal flow is quieter if that matters, can run longer, and operates faster (as long as not in freo mind)
