Ran both in my own home: Saros 20 missed 10% fewer obstacles than the X60. Roborock's torque wheels handle cables better if you're lazy like me.
We just got the Saros 20 but honestly i would have gone with the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow considering price and features. The defining reason for choosing Saros is that our bathrooms have very high thresholds. Even so, we're happy with our choice. We're having pets and i don't like the idea of pet hair everywhere. Considering that we plan to use it daily for vacuuming and twice a week for washing the floors for the next 5 years at least, with consumables, i expect a cost of around 1 euro per day over that period, which for us is worth it.
I’m currently considering buying the Saros 20 as well, but it honestly doesn’t make much sense for my situation. I’m coming from an S8, without a cleaning station — and that’s the biggest issue I have with my current one. Unfortunately, some strange problems have also started appearing with it lately; for example, the bumper is regularly reported as stuck, even though it’s been cleaned multiple times. The navigation isn’t great either, and I have several pieces of furniture that a Saros 10R — or even a Saros 20 — could clean under nicely. But the way things stand right now, the premium for the Saros 20 really wouldn’t be worth it. It even had a feature removed — a liftable side brush — and I’m not sure how much that would matter in day-to-day use. These are just the thoughts going through my head at the moment.
Looks like a solid flagship. The Saros 20 is the one with spinning mops and the Saros 20 sonic is the one with the vibrating flat mop which can wash the mop when it’s left behind at the base station while the robot cleans. There’s an improved threshold climbing wheel similar to Dreame’s ProLeap but it can go backwards which should mean less bumps when it gets onto the higher threshold or level. There’s also dustbag drying (a feature I love). I hope it does well :)

Most robots can cross this. The dreame/MOVA robots with the ProLeap/StepMaster system and the roborock Saros 20 and the Saros 20 sonic with their improved threshold crossing system should be able to clear this with ease.
This is definitely not exclusive on the ecovacs X9 pro omni. Ecovacs is late to this feature. Models that can do this well: Dreame’s L/X40 Ultra and newer (assuming there’s an RGB camera), Narwal Freo Z Ultra; Roborock Saros series and CurvX, MOVA P10 Pro Ultra, P50 Pro Ultra, Z50 Ultra, V50 Ultra
I’d look at robots that can stop vacuuming, lift the main and side brush and just mop when they detect a liquid spill. The Dreame Aqua 10 Pro Track and the MOVA Z50 Ultra will be the closest robot to a steam mop as they use roller mops. There’s also the Narwal flow but no word on its release yet. Alternatively, there are robots with spinning mops that can do this after recognizing a liquid mess like Dreame’s L/X40 ultra and newer; roborock Saros models and the Curv X; the MOVA P10 Ultra/Pro Ultra, the P50 Ultra/Pro Ultra, and the V50 Ultra; and Narwal’s freo Z Ultra. Out of all of them, I’d recommend the MOVA V50 Ultra as it can mop with detergent and choose if it uses a pet odor neutralizing detergent when cleaning up after your dog or a regular one for general maintenance. Other roller mop models like the eufy S1 Pro, the eufy E25/E28, and the ecovacs X8 and X9 cannot mop up liquid spills without the vacuuming brushes smearing it.
Orderd saros 20 on Germany site 1289 euro but on offer was set off spare parts and extend 1 year guaranty good deal i think
We got a cheaper one with no mopping dock to prove the theory and moved it to the second floor once we got the second one that had the mop cleaning feature. Roborock just dropped the Saros 20 so they are having a promo. The Q10 s5+ is 279!
Recommending an old Roomba is a good way to turn someone away from vacuum bots. Poor navigation and suction. Thanks to my Bernese Mtn. dog and Husky I got into robot vacuums to supplement cleaning. Suction and agitation are both needed. I have 4 Roomba’s I don’t know what to do with. While they pull pet hair out of carpet they cant pick it up. It seems a combo brush rubber roller is the best compromise. I currently use a Roomba J9 Combo to pull hair from carpet into the notorious cigar rolls and then use a Roborock S7 to pick them up. Upstairs I have a Roborock Q5 pro that’s replaced all my other Roombas because it has the suction power and dual rollers. Since my Eufy S1 pro purchase, it’s hard to consider any non roller mop bot. Still, I think the Saros 20 shows promise. It’s short enough to fit under most furniture where debris collects too.
