Don't buy the Z70. [https://lifehacker.com/tech/roborock-saros-z70-review](https://lifehacker.com/tech/roborock-saros-z70-review)
There is no perfect robovac.... but... I like the robots with split rollers, like the Roborock Saros line. These also have a removable tray, and I think the hardware is solid. But in reality, almost all premium robovacs and even the midtiers have these features (removable trays, etc).
I have a Z 70 I think it’s worth it. You can just turn the arm off if you don’t like it, but I think it’s cool. The mopping is incredible. Also hairs do not get stuck in the brush roller at all. The navigation is also really good Also, it’s nice to be able to remote in and use the camera whenever you need to The arm also has a camera so you can see high angles like check on the stove or see if you locked the door stuff like that. I think you should get it. It’s the latest and greatest also, the arm is always getting better every day.
I’ve noticed that it’s picking up things it didn’t when I first got it and it’s been consistently getting it in the basket better then before so yeah every time I run mine, I notice an improvement in the sorting.
Saros Z70, otherwise you have do a quick run picking up things from the ground before starting the robot.
I was torn between the S10R and the Z70, but I ended up going for the Z70 because of the robotic arm and honestly the suction power and obstacle avoidance are perfect. My place has a pretty complicated layout, but I never have to worry about it getting stuck anywhere.
A bit excessive, but I've been enjoying my Roborock Saros Z70, i got a black Friday deal on it and its been good. Mopping can handle the winter salt at my front door on tile, and have . Thinking about picking up a couple of simpler models to cover my other floors too, but the Z70 is fine if I pick it up and take it to another floor to mop and vacuum. If I have one complaint, its that the water tanks are too small on the dock, but maybe its me mopping too frequently. Oh, and as for the arm, hit or miss. I kind of forgot about it today when the robot starts making its afternoon run to clean and came back to my foyer to find all of the shoes and slippers which were kind of kicked off and thrown around at the front door, moved to the area that I had told the robot that I wanted shoes moved to if it found some. Kind of interesting, but I don't depend on it.
Three floors in my house - three vacs. Yes, I could move them from floor to floor, but I had a bit of money to between black friday and second hand deals: \#1. Roborock Saros Z70 - Bedrooms, with the kids rooms being the trickiest to navigate \#2 Roborock Saros 10 - Main Floor, does well with the mix of hardwood, tiles, and area rugs, and the dirt and slush at the front door in winter. \#3 Roborock QV35A - Basement - mostly tile with some area rugs - the least trafficked part of the house. All set with some kind of schedule and automations with the Roborock app and Google Home for cleaning when we are in or out of the house. I'm really enjoying having one less thing to do around the house.
Not a Saros 10R but I have a Saros Z70 (basically the same unit, but mine has a robotic arm gimmick) which I have on the bedroom level of the house, including the kids rooms. No dog or long haired people in my house, but the Saros does an awesome job of cleaning and navigating the chaos up there. I'm not saying it never gets trapped, but it seems to be learning about certain things and it's performance has improved quite a lot since I get it on Black Friday 2025. I also have a Saros 10 (not 10R) on the main level of my house, and it does a great job with the everything, including winter stuff at the front door. Water slush, salt, etc. I have an automation to clean the foyer after the kids leave for the day and again after they're back from school. Works great. Roborock's app is awesome - my previous vacuum was an iRobot S9+ (great vacuum, no mop), so these Roborocks are a nice update. The voice control on both of them is fun too. FYI, my house is all hardwood, with patches of tile (bathrooms, foyer) and large area rugs in every room.
Z70 has a gimmicky arm that ruins its actual cleaning performance, 10r is the only saros you should be getting
The Z70 hands down. I owned both. The Saros 10 is a great bot, but the maintenance info the base station can be a bit much compared to the Z70. I sold my Saros 10 and kept the Z70. The only downside of the Z70 is it won't pick up larger debris, like dog food, because the brush opening is small. Since you don't have any pets, it won't be a problem for you.
