I owned a Shark Ion Robot for years. It was a random drunken sailor, bumping into everything. Eventually it would clean everywhere but without rhyme or reason. Low pile carpet and vinyl. Then we tried the Envoya Robot Vacuum. It was like a nazi, rigid patterns. It got stuck everywhere, the app was difficult, and I couldn’t map it. This time we are one floor throughout, LVP. No door jambs or anything. We returned it. Next we got the Eufy self-emptying with LIDAR. (Can you hear the angels singing?) What a wonderful vacuum! It maps the perimeter first. Then it goes inside the middle very systematically. It never gets stuck. It slows down because of the LIDAR and doesn’t bump into the furniture. When it docks, it empties in a powerful, long suction. Then a razor runs back and forth across the bar cutting any hair or string. Then it empties again! When it encounters a rug or a spot with extra debris, it automatically increases suction power. I sing its praises. Cost was under $300. Strongly recommend.
r/RobotVacuums • What are some of the Best Robot Vacuum Cleaners to buy - And why? ->I have a Shark Ion Robot Vacuum (cheaper than Roomba and frequently on sale) on every floor for my two goldens and they do an incredible job at picking up hair on hard and rug/carpeted floors. They last a long time too as my oldest vacuum is about 6 years old. The battery is getting bad though. The deep vacuuming with an upright vacuum is still done once a week but the robot vacuums absolutely help maintain and are very much worth it.
r/goldenretrievers • Roomba vs Goldens? ->I have 4 cats and 2 dogs. I own a shark ion (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08C6XGP4F?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image) Its $150-$200. I run it every night and empty it out in the morning. I've been super impressed by how much fur it picks up and without having issues. I'm not sure how frequently other people run theirs but I just love waking up a freshly vacuumed carpet. I have one in my living room and one in the family area (the two areas the pets lie the most). I imagine if you are doing it once a week or for multiple rooms, the vacuum may struggle more with fur. I still run a regular, upright vacuum in bedrooms. I will also run a regular upright in the robot vacuum rooms like once a month or so. It won't stop ALL fur but it helps A LOT IMHO.
r/PetAdvice • Is a Robot vacuum worth it for Pet Hair? Best options under $200? ->We have 2 dogs and run our Shark every other day. Great investment!
r/CleaningTips • What's the best robot vacuum for pet hair widely loved and highly recommended by Homeowners today? ->My Shark Ion robot vacuum is still going strong after at least 6 years. One side brush froze up about a year ago and I haven't taken the time to try to free it up. It still does a pretty good job.
r/RobotVacuums • Is it normal for a robot vacuum to have such a short lifespan? ->I have a shark ion. It's not fancy, I don't have the app. But it does work and takes one thing off my plate. I just pre-sweep the floor since it doesn't get into corners.
r/workingmoms • What are the best robot vacuums in your opinion - Are they really worth the money? ->I have the shark ion robot and it does a great job with hair(I have 3 dogs). The only annoying part is it doesn’t have the house mapping feature so it’s constantly bouncing off of everything during its run, but it’s cheaper than the other models that can map their path, so I deal with it lol
r/RobotVacuums • What’s the Best Robot Vacuum for Pet Hair? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
