I love my shark ninja! She goes on rugs, laminate, everywhere. She does get stuck under my bed randomly, but it’s delightful to come home and not have dog hair all over everywhere!

I think I’ve had her 2 years, I have replaced the roller once. But I got her at Walmart for around $150. She doesn’t empty herself, I do it. I figured I’d have to empty the deal anyway, so I wasn’t going to pay twice that! Her name is Clean Elizabeth by the way. It was that or Dustin Bieber 🤣 you can have it map your house and just go into specific rooms or do the whole house. It really is worth it!

https://a.co/d/0cg8lN3y I’ve had two of these shark IQ self empty, two corgis. They do pretty good if you run them every day. I’ve had one for close to 5 years and the second for about three. They have been hands down the most reliable robot I’ve had, since 2008 I’ve owned probably 10 different ones.

I’ve had two of these for 5 years. https://a.co/d/08WVyNZY Still going strong. I’ve had at least 10 different robots over the years, these are the only ones to ever last longer than 2 years for me. I upgraded to the “shark never touch” that mopped and vacuumed, total junk it lives in the garage already.

The link in my comment takes you to the exact model on Amazon. Like $128 right now

I have had two of the shark iq ones that auto empty themselves for 5 years. Had to replace the batteries this year but they have been the longest lasting robot I’ve had. They’re only $130 or so refurbished on Amazon.

My house is 126 years old so it's got quite the doozies of thresholds. The Dreame L40 sucks at them, mine doesn't even seem to put much effort into trying to climb them. It isn't the greatest robot but [this Shark](https://a.co/d/5xBFq3j) I bought 3 years ago never had issues with thresholds surprisingly.

Looking for strictly the best robot vacuum only for my house. My last purchase was for a refurbished shark vacuum that has worked great for our home with with maintenance/replacing parts. I have two large breed dogs that makes a vacuums job hell so I'm looking for the most cost efficient robo vacuum to replace my old shark. Hardwood floors with a few rugs around the house.

Other than door way thresholds, there's nothing much. I clean the house and maintain the vacuums self empty as well as maintaining the parts included. We use it daily but make sure there's nothing in the way. The budget goes up to about 300. Our shark has done very well but I fear we will need another device in the next few months.

Mines an original Roborock Q Revo which isn't sold, it does a solid job. Would i buy Roborock again? Don't know its dependable and does avgood job. I'm not thinking about replacing it. Had a Shark RV1000AE before the Roborock. It was still working great, but I wanted mopping. The problem with review sites is they are an initiates only no long term performance (in general) and reliability. I watch reviews to see what features are available and evaluate which ones I want. Example spinning mop vs dollar mop. Swing out side brush vs no swing out. I look at obstacle avoidance details and ability to handle floor height differnces. My kitchen is 1/2 inch higher than the living room and hallway and same with the bathroom. TZhey both have pretty wide slopped thresholds. The 3 inch wide threshold for the bathroom is much easier to get over and easier on the bot. Last thing after I narrow it down to a couple of models I start looking for info on reliability. My house has hardwood, tile and slate floors with a couple of throw rugs and we only have a small dog and no little children. Carpet cleaning isn't as important as hard floor cleaning. If I had a lot off carpet it'd be different.

Looking for some help. Dove into robot vacuums in 2023 with a Shark RV1001AE IQ and while it sold us on the concept of a robot vacuum the model itself leaves a lot to be desired. It just requires to much babysitting and maintenance at this point and I am ready for an upgrade. Some frustrations I am trying to rectify \- If it self empties I want it to actually work. With the shark 1/2 the time i try and start it I get an error and have to pull clumps of hair out of the vacuum to get it to work. Or just go with bags \- An user friendly setup and app experience (shark is terrible with this). I have a map set up but it likes to ignore that. \- ~~No mop function- Not comfortable with my laminate floors being mopped by a machine. We have to do it so infrequently a swifter wet jet and 15 min solves it. Not a problem I'm looking so solve so don't want to pay for that function.~~ Seems like this is just how they come now. So if it has it great I will prob not use it so performance here doesn’t really matter for my decision \- Want to run it at night with lower light and not hear it banging into everything imaginable while I'm trying to sleep (this isn't the biggest deal we can run it during the day but it would be nice) \- Brushes that deal with hair well. Too much time having to de tangle hair our of the brushes. Mostly my wife's hair which is reasonable long House is relatively small with all laminate floors and some area rugs. bout 1400 sq ft. We have a cat and will be getting a dog in the neat future. Budget under 1k but sweet spot is in the $500 area Any help would be awesome

I like my Shark IQ. It's model RV1001AE. Its rollers and mechanism are designed not to get clogged up with fur and hair. It's worked well and hasn't gotten dog fur or hair wrapped around its rollers. It's an old model, but I'm sure that they have current ones designed to work in similar ways. The place that I used it had tile floors and it had previously been occupied by squatters for at least a couple of years. There was an almost endless supply of hair, dog fur, and dust because they hadn't cleaned \*anything\* in that time.

We have the Roomba j7+ We did a fair amount of research before getting it and watched YT videos comparing all the different makes and models and this was highly rated for pet hair. It’s pretty good - but like others have said you do have to spend time cleaning the hair out of the wheels which is an annoying and dirty job and also I find that I don’t run it very often because the sound makes my dog bark so I have to only run it when the dog isn’t in the house, which isn’t that often (of course, I could try to get the dog used to it, but I haven’t taken the time to do that) As an alternative to a robot we also recently bought the Shark Auto Detect and we are loving it! It’s cordless and really lightweight. It’s so easy to maneuver picks up tons of hair and has really good rollers that don’t get stuck on hair. I actually was looking forward to vacuuming today, which is crazy. I never thought I would say that!
