We have the shark self emptying one, it works great! https://www.sharkninja.com/shark-matrix-self-empty-robot-vacuum/RV2310AE.html

We have two long hair cats and got the Shark Matrix and it’s been great! Three years now and no issues. You’ll need to clean its filters every month or so depending on how much you use it. Our place is around 1800 square feet and takes about 1.5 hours to clean the entire place.  The app works well, mapping your place is pretty easy, and it’s detection for new furniture and objects works well.  https://www.sharkninja.com/shark-matrix-self-empty-robot-vacuum/RV2310AE.html You can find it cheaper than their site at target, Amazon, etc. You could also get their Vacuum and Mop version for exactly $300 too.

We too have a shark, the AI Matrix Self Emptying one. We have two long hair cats that shed more than my husky growing up did. The amount of hair these cats shed daily is INSANE. The Shark one does a great job a picking it all up.  https://www.sharkninja.com/shark-matrix-self-empty-robot-vacuum/RV2310AE.html

I love my shark matrix v2300s (I think) - it picks up so much of my pet hair and rolls right over rugs and my hardwood. I love it for the pure power. I opted for non mop unit so it solely focused on vacuum power. My only complaint is I can't map my second story as it will delete my first story map. And it can't handle multi floor mapping (my second story). I bring it upstairs and let it clean but it won't generate the map so I can label the rooms ect. Overall a 4.8 out of 5 stars

Smooth sailing. The app is pretty straight forward. Your can set auto cleans every day. I can also do quick spot cleans 5 ft x 5 ft anywhere on my map. I set no go zones, I also can pick between eco mode, normal power and, heavy duty cleans. It's a little loud but not enough to throw me off. My dust bin also holds about 30 days worth of dust. It's my first robot and I'm loving it to be honest! I couldn't have made a better decision. Especially for the price point. I got it for 150 bucks on sale! Worth about 250-300 normally. Also uses lidar navigation which is clutch.

I can choose which room to clean or i can chose if I had an emergency clean up in a specific area. I wish I could see a map of the pattern in which it cleaned in the final report as well. Aside from that im extremely happy with it. I read reviews for like 2 months before putting the trigger on one. I also knew that everyone is trying to solve a slightly different problem with a robot. For example my problem was, I wanted a vacuum that could handle 3 short haired dogs shedding in between the work week. I also needed it to be pretty smart in regards to obstacles. I also needed it to handle rugs (I have a rug in my living room) and hardwood. I realized a mop on my unit wouldnt be so convenient as I have a lot of short hairs being released by my 3 dogs. And the wet mop would just make the hair stick to the ground. I had a long in depth convo with chat gpt in regards to recommendations. And I also watched a lot of just dad robot review videos. Find whats best for YOUR situation and go with it!

I just bought a shark matrix and it’s quiet for a vacuum!

It’s loud but I don’t think it’s crazy loud for what is being accomplished

The other commenters seem like theirs is quieter than the shark. We can have a conversation while it’s running which was a huge improvement over the roomba i3 we replaced. We have it run when we leave the house for the day so we are not usually watching tv while it goes

I don't know why people don't understand not wanting a mop! I figure the dust bin will be bigger if there is no water dispenser. Plus I have a separate mop robot that does a fine job already. I just picked up a shark matrix, kind of spur of the moment, found someone selling 2 on Facebook and they were barely used and the price I was thinking of spending on 1 so I figured I'd take a chance. I'm happy with it after a few runs, it's quieter than the roomba. Neither are perfect, the shark app is kind of dumb and won't let me program the 2 vacuums to run at different times.

I bought a refurbished Shark Matrix robot vacuum/mop for $99 on Woot. I haven’t used the mop yet but the vacuum feature is awesomeness!

I bought Shark and I regret it, and I'll never buy another. Many people on this sub will confirm that they are terrible. Shark broke connectivity with Google Home through a software update 2 months ago and they have done nothing to fix it. It also affects Alexa and Home Assistant, all of which worked perfectly before the September update. Even if you don't use smart home features, the fact that Shark will break software functions and not fix them should give pause to anyone.

Room scheduling was possible through Google Home until Shark broke that connectivity 2 months ago. The fact that they broke it and since then have just been like, "oh well" - it makes me never want to buy another thing from them. Who knows what feature they will break next.

It seems the general consensus from all the aggregate data here is this: Don’t get Roomba or Shark (wish I’d found this sub before buying my Shark Matrix) they’re the market leaders and lean heavily on brand recognition so they’re very feature poor compared to the competition. Roborock seems to be the far and away most recommended if you’re willing to spend the money. They aren’t cheap but seem to have the best software. It does seem that universally the hardware is good enough these days. There’s not tons of meaningful competition on that side and it’s all the software side of things. The budget market has a less clear winner but going with one of the Asian brands is still the way to go.
