I bought a switchbot k10+ pro for 200 euro (on sale) as my first bot a month or so ago. The mop is so bad I don't even use it, but I genuinely couldn't live without a robot vacuum now. They have a poor reputation and this bot is far from perfect, but for the rest of my life I will own a robot vacuum. It feels a bit like using a cellphone for the first time. The floors of the house are so much cleaner by default now that I will never ever go back.

Switchbot k10+ Pro works fine for this purpose for me. It's the smallest one out there so gets under bedside tables etc where others wouldn't fit. Don't pay full price for it, but at 40 or 50% off it's been great

Agreed. I would love to see more "mini" robot vacuums. Both the switchbot k10+ pro (I own it) and the Deebot mini (I don't own it) have significant performance issues. At least the Deebot mini has actual spinning mop pads though.

It's not a bias so much, as that's just what I do. Yes. I would recommend the Switchbot K10+ Pro over and over again.

20%Notes: this is a placeholder so you can bookmark. I'll begin filling this in as prices come off embargo. For a list of every single prime day deal, [go here](https://www.reddit.com/r/RobotVacuums/comments/1ljl8wd/prime_day_deals/). These are not the cheapest robots in each band, these are my recommendations based on the final Prime Day prices. Some prices do not fall off embargo until 7/8 (Prime Day) so you may not see them until then. I will be incredibly busy during Prime Week, so may not be able to answer comments. I haven't tested every vacuum on the market, but I've tested a lot of them. Not offended if you have a differing opinion and voice that, my opinions are based on real world testing in my home, which I write about on Lifehacker. The links below will be affiliate links, you don't have to use them, but it is appreciated. # Best vacuum under $100 Controversial opinion, but I don't believe there is a best under $100. Infact, robots worth the investment under $700 are rare, as I explain in [this post.](https://www.whatrobotvacuumshouldiget.com/2025/06/20/are-budget-robot-vacuums-worth-buying/) So these robots should be viewed as tech toys you're playing around with, rather than cleaning tools that will make your life easier. Buy whatever strikes your fancy, it's unlikely to be useful as a robovac, but might be a worthy cat toy. # Best vacuum under $300 People just don't talk about the Switchbots enough in here, and I wish I knew why. Aside from having a kick ass brand identity (chonky robots that bridge a technology gap for people), they are affordable and work better than most tech products out there. I'm a huge fan of their smart home sensors and the SwitchBot button. When I got the [K10+](https://lifehacker.com/tech/switchbot-k10-plus-robot-vacuum-review) to test about 18 months ago, I was just tickled. First, it's tiny. It's like an M&M roaming your floor. At 8 inches, it cuts a tight radius around your chair legs, and can get into tiny spaces. There's no advanced tech on here, it just does a bangup job vacuuming, and then returning to its humbly small self emptying dock. Sure, there is a "mop", kinda sorta... but its just a swiffer situation, and it sucks. Ignore it (easy to do). This is a vacuum, and can more confidently manage carpet (under your bed, too!) better than most I've tried. Sure, you'll have to unclog it occasionally, but that's what you get at this price. The pro took the suction from 2500Pa to 3000Pa, which doesn't seem like much, but I can go on for hours on a nerdy rant about how much suction doesn't really matter. Whichever you get, this is the bot to beat at this price. The only interesting nugget about the 3i when I agreed to test it was that it promised to never need a water refill. i'd just finished testing the narwal Freo Z, which has to be topped up a few times a day and an autonomous robot sounded fantastic. You shouldn't like the 3i. It looks like an exhibit in a kids science museum. It weighs like 50lbs, and there is nothing notable about the robot itself. it looks like a generic robovac. I was so blown away by the performance, I haven't shut up about it since. In the history of my testing, i have kept 3 robovacs, and this is one of them. I just place new robots I'm testing in front of it, because I'm not moving that Gdamn tower for anything, it lives there now. Theres the design: these 2 forward sweeps rotate inward, and have constant downward pressure on the floor. They're huge, and very effective. The roller doesn't get clogged. Let me repeat. I let it vacuum up dog toy floof. Mulch. Receipts. NOTHING deterred this robot. And the mop was very effective, too. Was it the best mop I've tested? No. But it ranks up there. And the water cleaning actually works, I know because for a week, we had it mop up anything we could think of. Vinegar. Black dye water. Maple syrup. Tomato juice. And not only was the resulting clean water tank crystal clear, I used PH strips to test it, and it remained stable. It just metabolized anything we ran it over. It's been a few months and I've never had to refill the water, not once. It's finally an autonomous robot, and for that, it'd be worth it at $1899. But for $1139, I don't need to think about whether its better to spend less on a high end Roborock, the 3i is cheaper. |3i S10 Ultra|$1899.99|$1139.99 w code: S10USAVE5|40%|[https://amzn.to/3GsRZlm](https://amzn.to/3GsRZlm)| |:-|:-|:-|:-|:-| # Best vacuum if you have no budget Embargo'd til 7/7 # Best vacuum if you have thresholds The good news, since many of you are trying to decide between the Saros 10/10r and the Dreame X50 Ultra, is that I can make it easy. Get the Dreame X50. You won't like the reason I recommend it, though. It's simple: the Roborock Saros 10 is not, for reasons I don't get, on Prime Day special, only the 10R is. While the 10 and 10r are [supposed](https://lifehacker.com/tech/roborock-saros-10-vs-saros-10r-robot-vacuum-comparison) to have very similar builds with a lifting chassis, they don't act like it. The 10 is a better robot than the X50, so if you can afford it, buy it. If not, the X50 is a fine robot. Genuinely. And I never got tired of watching it yeet itself over thresholds and steps. The AI onboard helped the robot get better over time at navigation, and if anything, my only complaint is that it had to return to dock all the time to top up or recharge, so cleaning a whole house took a long time to get done. Worth mentioning: I recently tested the Mova P50 Ultra, and while I thought the robot wasn't worth the price (by a lot), it did delight me in how it sailed over thresholds but also turned sideways to actively clean the threshold itself (but don't buy it, the build sucks). |Roborock Saros 10|$1599.99|$1599.99|0|[https://amzn.to/40xGAHO](https://amzn.to/40xGAHO)| |:-|:-|:-|:-|:-| |Dreame X50 Ultra|$1699.99|1199.99|29%|[https://amzn.to/3GrCzhm](https://amzn.to/3GrCzhm)| |Roborock Saros 10R|$1,599.99|1,279.99|20%|[https://amzn.to/4lFxi4W](https://amzn.to/4lFxi4W)| # Best vacuum for pets Embargo'd til 7/7 # Best vacuum if you don't want a mop Embargo'd til 7/7 # Best vacuum if you don't want an auto-emptying tower This is absurd, you should want the tower, or there's almost no point in getting a robovac to begin with. But, if you absolutely, totally insist, (and the Switchbot K10+ tower isn't small enough for you, because that sucker will fit anywhere), I very reluctantly offer the Roborock Q10 S5. I hated the Dyson 360Visnav, and the iRobot Roomba 205 was a total flop. I got the Switchbot K10+ Pro based on your recommendation! Decided it’s not so bad for a first robot vacuum - perhaps I’ll upgrade to one with a proper mop next time. It was 259€ on Prime. Thank you so much for the help!

I’m in almost the same boat as you and been patiently waiting for Amazon Prime Day or whatever. I have narrowed it down to 3 choices… 1. Eufy L60 SES 2. Switchbot K10+ Pro 3. Roborock QRevo in that same price range. If anyone else has any other suggestions, I’m open to hearing about them. Probably going to try and pull the trigger sometime next week.

I recently got the Switchbot K10+ Pro Combo (it was $399 on Amazon, plus a coupon so it ended up being even less) for my upper floor. It’s been fantastic! That floor has 3 carpeted bedrooms, two bathrooms with vinyl floors and a hardwood hallway. The robot is small and can reach the nooks and crannies bigger ones can’t. The Combo also has a nice stick vacuum that works with the same base. It’s great for getting things like stairs that the robot can’t reach. The robot sort of has a mop function but it’s just a plastic plate that you can put a swiffer like pad on and attach to the robot. I’ve completely ignored the mop function, it seems like an afterthought. My household consists of two humans who shed, two dogs, one that likes to eviscerate stuffed toys spreading fluff around, and a cat. I also have psoriasis so I make lots of dust. It’s gross and the reason I wanted a robot. The Combo is new but there are lots of reviews of the K10+ Pro on YouTube. You can still get it without the combo. It was $299 last I checked. This little robot has performed way beyond my expectations. It’s gotten stuck only once when I had adjusted my adjustable bed after it mapped. I created a no go zone around the mechanism under the bed so it doesn’t happen again. Despite my long hair and shedding pets there have been no tangles so for. The mapping and setup were easy and fun. I’ve been thinking of bringing it downstairs to do a second map even though I got the Eufy E28 for the main level which is all hard floors and needs mopping. I really like the E28 but it’s big and can’t fit under my couch or behind my recliner. So it might make sense to bring the Switchbot downstairs now and then to get the hard to reach places.

I just bought two robots, the Switchbot K10+ Pro Combo for my upper floor which is mostly carpet, and the Eufy E28 for the main floor which is all hard floor, mostly LVP. The Switchbot is doing a fantastic job, better than I was able to do with my Henry. No hair tangles at all despite my long hair and shedding son and pets. Henry needs his roller unstuck multiple times cleaning the same space. The K10 did get stuck under my adjustable bed once. I think this was because the bed had been adjusted after the robot mapped the space. I just created a no go area under the bed where the mechanism is. Now I can just tell her to go clean and it gets done. The stick vac is great too. Of course the mopping is a joke but I only need that on the main floor so I was ok with not having a real mop. I’m still not sure about the Eufy. Its side brush has gotten tangled at least once every time I’ve run it (4times in all). The main rollers seem to work well and not get tangled but those side brushes wind everything up. It’s not just hair that gets wrapped around the top of the brush, it seems to spin dust bunnies into thread. So far I haven’t figured out how to remove the brush to get all the wound up hair etc out. I’ve been doing the best I can to unwind it without removing the brush. Other than that it’s doing a pretty good job. Have you tried the Switchbot S10? I almost went with that one but the reviews are rough. Now that I’ve tried the K10 I’m wondering if I should send the Eufy back and get the S10. Do you have advice on this? Thanks in advance!

I’ve had the SwitchBot K10+Pro Combo for a little over a week. I use it to vacuum my upper floor which has 3 carpeted bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with vinyl flooring and a hallway with hardwood. The robot is small compared with others but it is mighty and it can fit in small spaces that bigger robots can’t access. It does have a mopping feature but it’s really just an afterthought, it’s a plastic plate you can attach to the robot that hold a wet wipe, kind of like a swiffer. I don’t use it. The Combo comes with a great little stick vac that charges on the same base as the robot and they both empty into the same bag. The stick is great for getting my stairs as well as cobwebs of my chandelier. The combo is only $399 on Amazon or you can get it without the stick vac for $299. I got the Eufy E28 for my main floor (all hard floors) at the same time. I like both but honestly the SwitchBot has impressed me more. It mapped perfectly, even adjusting when I moved its base station mid clean. It’s only gotten stuck once when I adjusted my adjustable bed after mapping and the bed mechanism dropped a bit so the robot couldn’t go under it. I just made a no go zone around the mechanism and it’s been fine ever since. The Eufy gets hair tangled in the side brushes frequently but the SwitchBot hasn’t had an issue despite my long hair, my son’s shorter hair, my two fluffy dogs and my cat. One of those dogs loves to tear open her stuffed toys and spread fluff all over too. She also likes to roll around in grass clippings and then roll around on the carpet, so this little robot is getting a workout. Here’s a link to the Combo on Amazon, https://a.co/d/ip1nMje

I got the SwitchBot K10+Pro Combo for my carpeted upstairs and I love it. It’s tiny and can clean in all the nooks and crannies a regular robot can’t reach. She’s not the most powerful vac out there but she’s doing a wonderful job at my house, with medium pile, two dogs, a cat and two humans with long hair. No tangles or anything. It’s been life changing.

If mopping doesn’t matter, you might like the SwitchBot K10+ Pro. I have the K10+ Pro Combo for my upper floor which is mostly carpeted. She’s tiny compared to other robots but that means she can clean in smaller spaces. I have two dogs a cat and a kid, plus my own long hair. I have had it a few weeks now and haven’t had to remove hair from the roller at all. The dust bag is huge so I’m still working on filling the first one even though I run it daily. It got stuck only once when I adjust my bed height and it didn’t fit under the mechanism. I just made a no go zone around the mechanism and now I just let her loose every morning and leave her alone to clean. I think without the combo it’s $299 on Amazon. The combo is pretty great though, it has a stick vac that uses the same base and it comes in handy for things like getting cobwebs off the chandelier.

Hey Amanda! I just wanted to hop on and say I purchased the SwitchBot K10+ Pro a couple weeks ago based on your recommendation, thank you! I couldn't wait for Prime Day as we needed a new vacuum desperately. I'd agree that this robot is a vacuum only and disregard the mopping feature. Mopping wasn’t important to us, since we live in a 1200 sq ft condo with lots of rugs. For mopping, I use the Vileda Promist Max Spray Mop (with several extra pads from Amazon) I find it super quick and easy. I was hoping to find a robot vacuum under $500 CAD, and ended up getting the K10+ Pro for $449 on Amazon.ca, with an additional 15% off. I’ve been really impressed so far. This little robot fits and navigates easily under our beds, dressers, cabinets, sofa and even between our counter stool legs! It handles tight spaces really well. I’ve set no-go zones for our large Moroccan shag rug and the tassels on our hallway runner (because the pile on the rug is too high for a roller vacuum and same with the tassels being too long) and it’s been great at respecting those. Also, I have long hair and haven’t had any issues with tangling on the roller. Just wanted to say thank you and share why this robot works so well for us in case it helps someone else! Edit: clarification: Amazon Canada

We have the k10+ pro and it is emptied every 3 months. It's reasonably priced, but you kinda have to be home to run it until you get the kinks worked out because it will get stuck on cords and some rugs. You can edit your map to make those areas no-go zones. It's got one of the smallest towers.

Every vacuum will have positive and negative reviews and recommendations. You job is to go through those and figure out which may or may not apply to you and make the best decision you can. This sub has been very active over the last month since it was just Prime Day. So you'll have a lot of recent reviews and recommendations to go through. Switchbot is still offering prime day deals on their Canadian and US website. When I bought my vacuum it had 4.1/5 stars and now I've seen it has dropped to 3.8 but it works great for our home. I bought the Switchbot K10+ Pro on sale before prime day for $380 CAD on Amazon and I see it's currently the same price ($449 less 15%).

I have two vacs in HomeKit via Matter at present, the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, and the Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni. Both offer a reasonable enough experience in Apple Home so far, although for both models, in terms of suction you only get minimum or maximum options - Min/Max for S8, Quick or Deep Clean for the Omni. I believe Switchbot’s models offer all four speeds, although the K10+ Pro didn’t have the relevant update at the time I had it (I gave it away). Of the two, I think the Roborock is better for a few reasons, but the Ecovacs does offer some features that may be more useful in some situations.

I think if you want something that can get into smaller spaces, the K10+ or K10+ Pro are great, and I enjoyed seeing mine getting between chair legs when my old Roborock S6 struggled. That said, its obstacle avoidance is nowhere near as good as the higher end models, and the mopping feature (dragging a wet wipe across a floor essentially) is just not good enough, but is expected for the price. Whether that will improve with their upcoming S20 or K20 I don’t know. I gave the K10+ Pro to my step son, so I won’t see what it’s like if it does get a Matter update.

In my experience, over a few months, it doesn’t mop or vacuum very well. The roller mop bounces and is not consistent. The vacuum leaves springs of hair around the floor for us to pick up, rather then vacuum. Its experienced errors, which SwitchBot repaired and sent back with more issues then when it was sent. They agreed something happened during repair and offered a full refund. I will not buy another one and will stick with our iRobot s9. Gets stuck a lot but it vacuums really well
