Our German shepherd and American Eskimo leave a lot of hair, and while the robot doesn't get it all, it does a very very good job and makes it a lot easier on you for daily sweeping and whatnot. The hair will get stuck in the mechanical parts often. you basically have to flip it over every after cleaning and pull the hair out of the vacuums brush, you can remove the small wheel and pull the hair out of it. My American Eskimo sheds like no animal I have ever owned or seen anyone own, so it might not be as bad for you. I have this j6 robot and a Tikom robot. The j6 does a better job but the tikom did a fine job and it was super cheap.
Yes i just have tikkon i think on Amazon. Just cloth that i wet and stick on and it vacumms too. Was a hundred dollars and i have a few if them and love them for kitchen especially. I use daily n i think one broke after a year.
Thank you for posting this bc I had been meaning to for a few months and feel the EXACT same way!! My lil Tikum buddy has been LIFE CHANGING. Achievement dopamine from pressing a button?? Yes please, and then that gives me momentum to get other things done. Mine is not self emptying but it's actually interesting to see how much stuff, mostly pet hair, it can get. But it does get stuck under my radiators. I highly recommend a robot vacuum/mop combo!!! My crawler also has a toy version that he pushes around the house when Tikum is running. Soo adorable 🥰 !
I have 3 dogs and 3 cats. I also have 4 robot vacuums. Between them, the house gets vacuumed 3x a day. You will absolutely have to clean hair from the brushes, main them & empty them regularly. For me, it's a lifesaver. For others, fighting with the machines is more trouble than it's worth. I found that iRobot is expensive and really sucks. They are also now going of of business. I really love some of the cheap ones from Tuya or Tikom (got off Amazon). My mom has an army of Shark robots (1 cat, 5 dogs for her).
I just bought a Roomba secondhand and then I bought a cheap Amazon one Tikom but it doesn’t appear they sell it anymore but they have a vac/mop combo. It’s never given me any issues.
I got a Tikom on Amazon recently. It’s one of most affordable options that mops and vacuums ($120 after tax) and does a great job for that price. Only issue is its battery life only lasts around 140 minutes, so best for smaller spaces
