Did you find any mapping option? In the menu I can create rooms, but I cannot do anything with the rooms (expect changing the name and the background color) which is quite weird. I tried to update the firmware, but when my iPad manages to reach 100% downloaded, it tells me that the firmware update failed. The mapping supposed to be under the device's Settings / Cleanup Management, but it is not there. It was just the first day of the Xiaomi E5, but it is bumping everything and for some reason it does not make a map. It even got itself trapped, when it went behind the bed, so it was shadowed from the station.

\+1 sa [Xiaomi Robot Vacuum E5](https://s.shopee.ph/9KVbmtDdyL). Bought it almost a year ago dahil sa affordability niya, at first I doubt its capability in cleaning pero it exceeds my expectations. It cleans the floor really well, wala siyang namimiss na spot. Very convenient din yung app niya na maraming features like scheduled cleaning. One of the best home purchase for me.

i own xiaomi robot vacuum e5, so far goods naman yung performance, and mag iisang taon na sya sakin. may sarili syang mobile app and pwede mong i schedule yung paglilinis nya. may detachable mop sya and pwede mo ding labhan in case madumi na. pwede mong i check yung ibang details sa [orange](https://s.shopee.ph/1B72uey8Hd) and [blue](https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.leYjt?cc) apps.

UPDATE: I ended up buying the Xiaomi E5 and honestly it's pretty decent for my use and considering its price. No idea what it's gonna be like in the long run of course, maybe I'll update this in half a year or a year if I remember :p I'm not sure if it has some sort of mapping system, because at first I assumed it had none and just drove around randomly, hoping things would get somewhat clean. But now after a few times of it cleaning, it seems to drive along edges of the room instead of just doing random lines straight across and bumping into everything. It's relatively loud and likes to hump things like the bottom of door frames while cleaning, so it's best to just let it run while you're outside in my opinion. But yeah, I don't regret getting it, and it does the job of keeping the floor more tidy than before, for a very cheap price. . . I've been looking at robot vacuums for a little bit now, and came across these two. However the xiaomi costs 112$, and the roborock is 246$ (Norwegian currency converted to USD). And googling isn't giving me a lot of answers to be honest, as I was first wondering why I kept getting posts and videos about the roborock E5, despite searching "xiaomi E5". Then I figured out xiaomi owns/owned/invested in roborock, and it made some sense. However such a big price difference made me wonder if they're hugely different? As 112$ is really cheap, and I would buy right away, but for 200-350$ I'd want to make sure it's definitely worth the money. I'm not really looking for something that can mop, clear all sorts of obstacles, have super fancy zone and mapping etc. I just want it to clean a pretty small area in my apartment, a nice bonus would be a dock where it dumps the dust so I don't have to empty it constantly, but that would probably be in the 500$ and above price category? There are some specs differences at least, such as: Roborock E5 | Xiaomi E5 Max vacuum power 2500Pa | 2000Pa Charging time 6 hours | 5 hours Battery time 200 minutes | 110 minutes Battery capacity 5200mAh | 2600mAh Battery type Lithium-ion | Lithium-ion Noise level 66dB | 66dB Dust box capacity 640ml | 400ml Water tank 180ml | 90ml I'm just wondering if the roborock is worth over twice the amount when it doesn't seem like a huge upgrade. Thoughts?

it's been doing well honestly, happy with my purchase. I'm not a fan of how it humps along the doorsills, but other than that it works really well especially considering the price. I let it run once a week or so when I go outside, and I'm always surprised at how much crap it's collected from the floor that I don't really see on the floor unless I look very closely. I make sure there's nothing on the floor it can get stuck on, and it runs just fine. Also a big plus is to have the sofa raised from the floor enough so it can go under it just fine, as that's one of the typical places I never bother vacuuming manually

yes, it goes over my doorsills as it has prettty big wheels with good grip and a springy suspension

Yeah I feel like it has no mapping of any kind, it just goes around randomly really. Once it gets close to the dock, it knows roughly where it is, but sometimes it takes a good few minutes to stumble around next to the dock before driving onto it, and sometimes it goes right onto it with no issue

it's still working well, for the price it does the job well as long as there aren't things for it to get stuck on. where I live it's pretty perfect to just turn it on when I go out for a bit once or twice a week

I've only got one carpet in my living room and it's one of those simple basic carpets that aren't shaggy at all, and it does okay with vacuuming that one at least. shaggy ones I have no idea, I also have it set to strong suction all the time

I ran my old combo Xiaomi on the vacuum + mop mode as it couldn’t just mop by itself and with regular use, the motor became much louder.
