Ecovacs T90 or Yeedi M16 infinity. Both are new models in your price range when on sale. The yeedi is cheaper. Both are essentially identical. These are new models with their new navigation sensors, mop roller system, and anti tangle brush roller. I've only had mine for a few days, but for the price, the feature set is amazing. The carpet performance is just average from what I've heard. I have mostly tile.
I own the Yeedi M16 for the last two months and it has been fantastic. One of the top robots right now (along with T90) and for only $650 USD on amazon. It's a fantastic value. The mopping performance is top tier. The AI features are surprisingly really good and not a total gimmick. Maintenance has been very minimal. I almost never have to intervene during cleaning. Main thing is that the onboard air filter is small and it does get clogged up with dust after a week in my very dirty house.
It depends on the brand and model, but a well designed roller mop system is the bomb. The cost difference is very little these days. People talk about the maintenance of roller mops, but I don't see how there is much of a difference. I think that is an outdated idea. A well designed roller mop system will leave your floors cleaner than a well designed spinning mop system. A hill I will die on. It makes sense logically, and I experienced it first hand when I transitioned to a roller mop robot. When I say "well designed" I mean a roller mop that actually cleans the mop while mopping instead of just claiming to. Roller mops will become standard even on medium budget models within a couple of years.
The Narwal flow, ecovacs T90, and the Yeedi m16 infinity all have a fully integrated dirty water reservoir. Just the ones I know of. It will become the industry standard. Questionable whether cleaning that reservoir is even necessary on many robots in the first place. Can't clean without water 🤷🏼 I refill mine about once every 4 days for what it's worth. At the same time I empty my dirty water.
It absolutely is questionable. At least I question as often as people think you have to clean them. They stink regardless, and as you know, these models I listed do not have a removable tank. It is not possible to clean them. With all models, the stink is inside a sealed tank. You only smell it when you open it to clean it lol
I had a really bad one from Ecovacs over 8 years ago and after 8 years I finally decided to give them a shot again. Well, their sister company Yeedi. I am so glad I did. I have the Yeedi M16 (T90 equivalent) and I've had it for two weeks now. It has been excellent. For the price I paid $580, it must be the best value in the entire industry. The navigation is excellent. The AI stuff is really interesting and not too gimmicky like I expected. The mopping performance is very good. It is able to intelligently follow the grain of my flooring so that it cleans better and quieter. The anti-tangle is literally perfect. Not a single tangle unlike every other robot ive owned The other thing I didn't expect was how powerful the GaN "powerboost" charging is. I measured it at 175W. If you have a 2000+ sqft house, this makes a huge difference. This feature will be standard across the industry within two years. Overall, onboard batteries will get smaller, and charging rates will increase manyfold.
Give it a try for sure. Or the Yeedi M16 which is pretty much the thing and looks even better imo. The mopping is on-par with any flagship I bet. The navigation is excellent, considering it is a mid-tier priced robot The vacuum performance on carpet is where it's not going to be above-average. Simply due to the anti-tangle brush design (which works perfectly). Narwal has the same brush design.
It's a great robot. I don't think you will regret purchasing it. I would also recommend the Yeedi m16 infinity, which is identical (afaik) and ~$200 less. The carpet performance is average, but the mopping, low maintenance, navigation, and AI features are where it really shines. Highly recommend.
I only have first hand experience with the Yeedi M16/ecovacs T90. The obstacle avoidance is really good. Better than most. The mopping, which should be a high priority for you given you have 75% hard floors, is going to blow the Mova P10 out of the water. The the T90 has a really well designed mopping system. If the Mova P10 is an excellent value at $400, then the T90 is also an excellent value at $700. I think you get proportionally more function and features for the money you spend. The Yeedi M16 Infinity is pretty much exactly the same as the T90 FYI.
I’ll third the votes for the Narwal after trying the Roborock Curve 2 and Yeedi m16.
Of all the rollers, which do you prefer? I’m trying the Yeedi m16 which seems similar to t90. So far so good but I’ve had Ecovacs headaches in the past and worry about that.
Something to consider is the age of the model. The Mova and Dreame (sister companies) are about to launch replacement models for the 2 of theirs you mention. That’s the main reason they are cheaper. Now, being older isn’t necessarily a bad thing as all the bugs that will be worked out have now been (or won’t ever be). The Aqua 10 suffered from clogging and leaking until mid cycle, but I’m not sure if the reason you aren’t reading negative comments are because they’ve been fixed or people have navigated to newer machines. The RR and Ecovacs are mid tier machines and thus cheaper to begin with. If the T90 were your pick, I’d suggest their sister brand Yeedi as the M16+ is a T90 minus the voice activation (which you could use an Alexa or Siri if such capabilities are important to you) as that’s cheaper. The Narwal has its fair share of detractors as well so all I can say is that it’s the one I kept. Far from perfect (the app is the worst among all vacs ever as far as I’m concerned), but I wanted the best mop I could get. I have more comments if you need them. Just dm me.
I actually picked one up during their 28th anniversary sale for around $225 using their spinner everyday and upgrade program discounts. I'm pleasantly surprised on how good it is. Is a flagship? No, but it's not supposed to be. The Yeedi version is an even better value. If you have carpet though, go back to the T80 as the new Narwal-like anti-tangle roller is not as good.
My experience with Ecovacs from a few years ago wasn't positive. I thought their X line back then was cheaply made. I hated the app, but I recently picked up the T90 and it may change my mind. Value for features, it's one of the best out there currently (especially the Yeedi model). Can't review how reliable it is and I haven't dealt with their support either yet either, but it offers 99%+ of what the flagships offer at a much, much cheaper price.
Not the original commenter, but I had a cheap no name one and two sharks. Those three each lived about 18 months. I do use them heavily (at least 3x a week) but love them so much. I wouldn’t pay more than $300 for one that vacuums and mops with a station that cleans it. But that seems to be the sweet spot for me. Right now I have a shark and a yeedi. The yeedi app often stops working but the cleaning itself is fine.
Just picked up a Yeedi during black friday. We have pets at home, and it actually handles the hair well, at least I don’t have to walk around with a lint roller every day.😂 It’s not going to get things 100% spotless, but it just makes things a lot more comfy. Especially on busy days, I honestly find it reliable.
I have a Yeedi robot vacuum and it’s the top home purchase for myself other than my espresso maker lol. It was pretty affordable too! I have two young boys so our floors constantly have dirt and crumbs plus dog hair. I run it 1-2 times a day and it works great
