I ended up getting this and I am a big fan, it's just right for me, plenty comfy and easy to inflate and nice and light, drawbacks are it's a very slippery material so have fallen off before LOL, and I'm not sure about the R value but held up at -5 with appropriate bag for a couple nights so 🤷. I've been able to sleep on my sides with it aswell, cheers for the link
People seem to be going nuts on these on other forums I’m in. No one knows how they get the R number that high or if it’s even tested to the ASTM standards that the more well known brands are. Might be worth a punt anyway for you….. https://www.bestwaystore.co.uk/products/alpinelitetm-wide-regular-mummy-sleeping-pad
So Bestway replied today with quite a comprehensive answer assuring me that the mat was tested to ASTM F3340-22 and the result was a value of R7.3 They even sent me the report produced by SGS showing photos of the mat being tested and all the numbers. I have bought one today to give it a go. To say I’m shocked is an understatement.

No problem. Glad to help. Not sure if you saw but I contacted Bestway after recommending it to you for proof and wrote a bit about it below…. https://www.reddit.com/r/wildcampingintheuk/s/aM6kHTESbb

Did you see my other replies. Bestway sent me the official ASTM report with pics showing it being tested. It is an R7.3 mat. I too have purchased one.
[This Bestway Mat has proven very popular this year](https://www.bestwaystore.co.uk/products/ultra-light-extreme-cold-weather-sleeping-pad-wide) and I can attest to its warmth and durability since last winter. Also cheaper than the other two so you can spend the money on another foam mat to add extra r value if required.
I have a bestway, its been great down to 2 degrees, hasn't been colder than that here yet tho!
Can confirm - it's great for the price. Very warm pad and not at all noisy to sleep on.
The Bestway Alpinelite is a great budget option if you can get one - R7.6, 664g, £40
Can confirm 👍 top mat
I have one, it's brilliant. No noisier than my thermarest xlite and a third of the price. OP, get yourself on bestway!
