I use this for bikepacking: [https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/lightweight-inflatable-trekking-mattress-size-l-mt500-l-180-x-52-cm/311475/c242m8853280](https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/lightweight-inflatable-trekking-mattress-size-l-mt500-l-180-x-52-cm/311475/c242m8853280) It is lighter 620g and the pack size is actually smaller than what Decathlon states, at about 2 l. The stuff bag doubles as the inflation bag. It is, for me much more comfortable than a self inflating matt and the R value of 3.3 is quite good. Edit, I'm a side sleeper too.
I have the Decathlon MT900 sleeping bag 0°C (down). Overall quite happy with it, I am cold sleeper and was comfortable at temperatures around 5°C without wearing a puffy, jumper or beanie. Build quality seems solid, haven't had any issues with it. My pad is the Simond (used to be Forcalz IIRC) MT500 Air isolated size L. Although I wasn't sure at first if the tube construction would be comfortable, but after using it I have no complains. Not the lightest or highest R value but overall I am happy with it, definitely considering the price. Decathlon seems to have a 20% discount on the MT900 sleeping bag Minimal Edition(undyed), lowering the price to 160 euro. Might be interesting if you can live with the white color. have this too. like that it's a bit wider than 20 inches while still weighing less than the competition and not sacrificing r value
I did seven months bikepacking and use the decathlon house brand half mattress blow up that’s about the size of a coke can when rolled up with Aussie disposal self inflating as a base that’s the size of a Billy and slept like a log
No this one [https://www.decathlon.com.au/p/inflatable-trekking-mattress-mt500-air-l-180-x-52-cm-1-person-simond-8799965.html?indexName=prod\_pim\_v1\_index&queryID=39bb07b5b0282eb14371b2300bea7500](https://www.decathlon.com.au/p/inflatable-trekking-mattress-mt500-air-l-180-x-52-cm-1-person-simond-8799965.html?indexName=prod_pim_v1_index&queryID=39bb07b5b0282eb14371b2300bea7500)
What about the Bestway AlpineLite that's available on Amazon? Weighs roughly the same as the Decathlon and higher R value. As for packed size, I just fold mine so it remains mostly flat and put in my pack.
I quite like the Decathlon MT500 air insulator ones. I started out with the XL size but after a year it developed a leak in a seam. Decathlon replaced it and I accepted the regular sized one in its place as I should have bought that one from the start. R value of 3.3 They are relatively inexpensive. I find them relatively comfortable. As you would expect the regular size one packs smaller and is slightly lighter. Yes the original XL one did develop a leak but, touch wood, it's replacement has been stellar so far. Obviously because of my problems with the last one I'm yet to be 100% convinced about their durability but I've slept on the new one 11 times so far 🤞
