The Exped pads are far and away the best. Comfortable, quiet, reasonable weights, and has two separate air chambers so one person moving doesn't disturb the other too much. They are not rectangular though, so if that's a hard requirement, they might not work. Pads I've tried * Exped Dura 5r Duo Medium (current go to car camping/winter double pad, heavy though) * Exped Ultra 3r Duo Medium (current go to backpacking double pad) * Exped Synmat Hyperlite Duo Medium (borrowed to try out before getting other Exped pads) * Big Agnes Rapide SL (returned, too thick and felt unstable with two people, especially with one air chamber) * Kylmit Double V insulated (sold, not very comfortable, not as warm as it should be, heavy) List of pads I haven't * Nemo has the Quesar, but it's quite heavy for the warmth and durability. * BA has the Divide, but it's really heavy * Paria has the Recharge DW which is heavy but has an rvalue of 4.7 and is cheap

Put Exped underneath you if you will use it long term. I just had a double wide inflatable have some baffles fail. I reached out for repair, it’s unrepairable, over ten years old, I don’t have proof of purchase, and they replaced it, no questions asked and as soon as I performed their RMA request, a replacement was UPS’d out the following day.

We have a Tarptent Double Rainbow; there’s plenty of choice for 2 man tents, but fitting in an Exped Synmat Duo wide (130cm) was important to us. The double mat is great as no gaps, but each side inflates separately. We’ve had sleeping bags with left and right zips, but now use a double quilt. We also have the two person Dutchware Double Dutch hammock setup which we love - separate hammocks with a spreader bar but one bugnet so you are under the same canopy. I have a double size Exped, and it is just too big for us to pack up for car camping. I went with sleeping pads so I could actually fit it in my car. I love the idea of cots, but I don’t know how people put them inside cars!

We do an exped double sleeping pad and double sleeping bag. We love being able to cuddle. I know they are expensive but if you take good care of it they last a long time. We have had ours for 6/7 years and we have had no issues with it

I have an Exped Duo that looks just like that and is probably more comfortable than my real bed at home.

My boyfriend and I got a couple of Coleman cots and threw an exped duo on top. Worked wonders for snuggling together
