"A good robovac is a life changer. Even a $350 basic S8. It is a great place to start. ... I promise you that you will not be disappointed by a basic S8. It will change your life even if it can't fit under every piece of furniture you own. ... My two S8s just finished vacuuming our entire house in about 46 minutes. ... While my floors were being cleaned, I sat comfortably on our patio in the cool shade with a slight breeze and composed my far too long response to you while sipping a diet soda and relaxing. ... I will have to spend about four minutes maintaining my two S8s. This will be my entire contribution to my home floor cleaning effort for today. Four minutes!"
"I got the Q5 Pro for $139. ... costs $450 less than what I paid for the S6 ... it is the best value option out there imo."
"Like 500$ these robots are currently the steal of the century ... You can get a mova p10 pro ultra (cannot remove its mops), equivalent to the l40/x40 for 500$ after a discount code"

"The roborock I have kicked and smashed with my foot so many times out of anger when it doesn't collaborate, and still he rocks 4-5 yrs later and no broken parts"
"they are extremely durable. ... I’ve got well over 1000 miles out of a pair and they still have grip and the uppers are in great shape"
"I've used them for 1500 miles of multi-day hiking with no issues!"

"Insulation instead of reflective layer is quieter ... Can’t stand the crinkly noise produced by reflective layer models. ... I find they’re less noisy than the reflective pads. ... Overall, i find expeds less noisy."
"I'm a light sleeper and before could get woken up by moving or by my hiking partners, with the new gen Xlite/Ultras that rarely happens to me now."
"Doesn’t sound like a potato chip bag when you move around."

"I'm exclusively a side sleeper and my backpacking set up I wake up pain free, so proper support for spinal alignment is so crucial as well as adequate cushion for hips and shoulders."
"the Expeds are AMAZING. ... I actually get good nights sleep on trail with them"
"Lengthwise baffles are just so much more comfortable for me"

"found it to be the equivalent warmth of the insulated static v plus my ccf, and even pairing the etherlight extreme with a ccf, and having it fully inflated wasn’t nearly enough for sleeping on frozen ground or snow."
"If I need more than 4 R insulation (I'm sleeping on snow most likely) I'm taking a ccf for backup because I don't want to die."
"I've only slept on it for one night with a Thinlight underneath, where it got down to 35F and I felt the cold under the pad for sure but it was fine. ... I would *never* use it without a Thinlight. ... not anywhere near as warm."

"I hate that nylon sags and it's actually pretty weird it sucks up water. The last thing you want a tent to do is get heavier, stay wet and lose tension."
"After getting as much mileage as possible out of my BA 2P Flycreek and Tarptent Rainbow, I'm excited to invest in an ultralight shelter that shaves a pound or more off my base weight"
"It’s 100% not ultralight ... Yeah it’s heavy."

"portable dlp projectors arent meant to last years. ... if you use it like a tv as your primary way to consume media and news in a room like up to around 8 hours a day, the chip starts failing and stars will show up or, the cooling system will get too filled with dust and you will need cleaning inside it for it to not shut down from overheating. ... trying to repair these small units usually end up in damaging them or making no difrence. the tolerances are low on and you never can really reach the factory quality and efficiency back for the cooling. ... a quick search will lead you to failures of dlp portable projecotrs such as these. ... it will only last the waranty period."

"I just didn’t find them as comfortable."
"I think they're all reasonably comfortable, although tensor probably at least 10% more comfy than both."
Exped Ultra is comfortable and ultralight. Pretty affordable, too. Give it a try.
r/Ultralight • Therarest Neoloft VS. Zenbivy Flex Air Mattress ->I had a Tensor and it was uncomfortable for me as well. I’ve found Exped inflatable pads comfortable. My favorite right now though is the Neoloft.
r/backpacking • Are inflatable pads uncomfortable for anyone else? ->I second this. Love my exped 3R and 5R. The UL 5R is ~$160 and sleeps better than thicker pads I've used
r/backpacking • Three season sleeping pad that doesn't break the bank ->I am an Exped Ultra 3R and 5R fan. I feel like they are highly underrated in the hiking community. My opinion is they sleep warmer than rated, are super comfortable, quite and cost less than a lot of pads. Just an FYI if you want another possibility/option. Edit: Sorry, I forgot this was Ultralight. I was thinking it was the Appalachian Trail sub.
r/Ultralight • How are people liking the Nemo Tensor Elite? ->Exped utra pads are great and highly underrated. Zen bivy light half sheet and light quilt is amazing with it. Game changer for me.
r/AppalachianTrail • I can’t get comfortable to sleep on the trail. Help me with a sleeping pad, please. ->Exped Ulrta 3R or 5R. It's my favorite. I only use the 3R and pair it with a CCF pad in cold weather.
r/AppalachianTrail • Best sleeping pads for larger tossier turnier gentlemen ->I backpack a lot and have a lot of bad back issues. I always dial my gear in at home before going into the field. I like Exped Ultra pads, I mostly use the 3R. They are highly underrated and are super comfortable for me. I use the trekology pillow. I have expermented with two in the past but I am back to one. I have used sleeping bags and quilts. Bags are out for me. Quilts are more comfortable. This year I went with the Zen Bivy light bed and it is very comfortable. I flip and flop all night and love this quilt/half sheet so far. I can get into any position for comfort.
r/WildernessBackpacking • How to dial in sleeping pad setup for chronic back issues? ->I use the Exped Ultra 3r and love it. Their pads are highly underrated.
r/Ultralight • Sleeping pad analysis paralysis ->Would also recommend the Exped Ultra 3R. Get the wide version if you plan to be camping a lot of the time!
r/bikepacking • Recommendations for sleeping pad ->The Exped 3R in the mummy shape is only 13 oz and packs very small. I find it really comfortable, r-value of 2.9 is fine for spring/summer.
r/Ultralight • Most packable sleeping pad >3 R-value in 2025? ->I’m a sidesleeper that also uses an Exped pad (3R). I find it very comfortable and it’s light and warm enough for my purposes. I have the standard mummy shape.
r/WildernessBackpacking • Packable sleep pad that is as comfortable as Exped Megamat? ->After most of a thru with a 3R it's the only sleeping pad I would ever want on the AT. Comes with great pump sack. Get in a bag on top of it for winter.
r/AppalachianTrail • Best sleeping pads for larger tossier turnier gentlemen ->I am a 220lb chunk side sleeper and the Exped 3R has been good to me for a long time at this point. Just have to deflate it a little bit so that it cradles you and it is pretty supportive. Its not like sleeping on my Megamat or anything but not too bad in the backcountry. The Xlite kept me up all night, the Exped does not, at all.
r/Ultralight • My hands are going numb on the NeoAir Xlite ->How much weight is too much for you, though? I’m a larger guy (230lbs) and find the tensor uncomfortable. It’s usable, but I don’t sleep great on it. My wife has the quasar and it’s way more comfy for me. Recently, I said screw it and tried an Exped Ultra mat. It’s quite large, and has some weight to it. BUT I sleep better than I ever have in the backcountry. So it’s my luxury item - and I’ll gladly carry the extra weight for the improved sleep I get.
r/backpacking • Gear recommendations - sleeping pad! ->Same. Love the 3R (not slippery, not noisy, vertical baffles and “rails”) but really jealous of the Tensor Elite weight. Now, if Tensor made the Elite in a 25”, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
r/Ultralight • How are people liking the Nemo Tensor Elite? ->Be careful with the 3R mummy. I was considering this, but a lot of folks find Exped’s mummy cut too aggressive at the top and at the bottom. Compare vs. Nemo and TR.
r/Ultralight • How are people liking the Nemo Tensor Elite? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
