I have one. I found that it sleeps cold when you get into weather in the 30s F.
r/Ultralight • Flextail Zero Sleeping Pad High R Value? (vs Exped 5R Ultra) ->I’d go for an inflatable pad and for speed I’d get a little flextail pump to speed up the time and effort required to set it up. I’ve recently bought a Naturehike 5.8 which I’m very pleased with and a flextail gear zero r5.6 which feels comfortable although I’ve not slept on it overnight yet. The main thing about the flextail like the exped is it looks a bit like the sort of lilo you see kids using in a holiday swimming pool.
r/Ultralight • Is it worth it to invest in an inflatable sleeping pad? ->I would recommend the flex tail zero mattress it is about 130€ around 500g and has an r rating of 5.6. It's a not so well known company but they gained some recognition in the last year for their zero pump. In my opinion the Specs and price are pretty good so I just bought it 2 weeks ago and tried it out this week and it was great.
r/camping • Can't find a good sleeping pad ->The Flextail zero is probably the cheapest ASTM rated one, but its Black Friday so there are deals on the Nemo Tensor All Season right now - I've seen it for £140 which is a bargain. I have that pad, its great.
r/camping • Whats the cheapest R 5+ sleeping pad available? ->I’d also recommend the R5 from Flextail. I’ve camped in freezing conditions and it’s been great.
r/wildcampingintheuk • Is there a budget sleeping mat for all seasons for around £45 ->Flextail from ali express, no regrets buying
r/Ultralight • Naturehike Sleeping Pad ->I just found this on AliExpress: £102.07 | FLEXTAILGEAR ZERO MATTRESS MUMMY - Insulated Sleeping Pad with 6.0 / 5.6 R-Value, Ultralight Inflatable Camping Mat https://a.aliexpress.com/_EGtOYxb Offer on atm Packs well, good weight as well
r/Ultralight • Naturehike Sleeping Pad ->Flextail r5 from aliexpress I have no regrets buying and have no plans on upgrading soon
r/wildcampingintheuk • Is there a budget sleeping mat for all seasons for around £45 ->Flextail RO5 in either the Mummy Plus size or wide pad. I'm 5'8 and just about get away with the regular, so you'd probably want the larger pad. They're on offer at the minute I believe on flextails site.
r/wildcampingintheuk • Sleeping mat recommendations ->Flextail r05, insanely comfy and under £100. Lots of youtubers have a code for 15% off too. I own the mummy pad and its great.
r/wildcampingintheuk • Recommendations for a wide sleeping pad around £100 ->I've recently got a flextail R5, it's 5.6 rated which is really good for a mat at £100. Got it after a bloody cold night in June, where my little Flux 5.0 was just not suited to it (or rather not suited to anyone who's not small) - the smaller pitted mats can affect the warmth somewhat.
r/wildcampingintheuk • Sleeping mat advice. ->You could give a naturehike a go or a flextail, these seem to be good value. I use the flex tail r5 , its pretty good but as with most thing outdoors everyone has different ideas what works or don't. Every one s budget is different and what we see as good value some see as cheap or too expensive
r/hikinggear • Sleep pad recommendations ->I like my Flextail R5. My only gripe is that it can be a challenge to get it back into its bag. But other than that its a great pad for the money
r/wildcampingintheuk • Sleeping mat advice. ->I've been well impressed with my Flextail Gear Zero pad.
r/UKhiking • Naturehike R8.8 Sleeping Pad Review ->Had mine since July and has been used a good amount. I find it really comfortable (side sleeper who is constantly tossing & turning) and I have no complaints. You can grab them on Aliexpress directly from their store and save a bit of money which could go towards one of the pumps - which I also really like.
r/UKhiking • Naturehike R8.8 Sleeping Pad Review ->I'm a side sleeper and really like my Flextail Zero pad. It would be well within your budget.
r/wildcampingintheuk • Best inflatable sleep mats? ->I use the flextail R5, for camping, it's a great warm pad,and if you use the flextail electric pump with it you will have a great night's sleep, I'm a side sleep and NY hip never touches the ground. I always recommend people use an electric pump rather then blowing the sleep pad up by mouth, as there is moisture in breath, which will evaporate during the night, leading to a certain amount of deflation in the pad. Hope this helps
r/camping • I am camping and need a sleeping pad at my campsite so i cant sleep well while camping ->I have the mummy shaped Flextail and found it to be very warm and comfortable to lie on. Get the inflator though!
r/wildcampingintheuk • Sleeping Pad Suggestions ->I’ve not used it yet in sub zero conditions, but the last time I was out with it the temperature dropped to about 3°c and it was more than warm enough both on my back and on my side. It’s nice and deep too so plenty of cushioning. The pump inflates it in next to no time so definitely grab yourself one of those if you decide to go for it.
r/wildcampingintheuk • Sleeping Pad Suggestions ->I just purchased a FlextailGear Ultralight - I was watching YouTube’s from a gal named Miranda and a guy named Eric - they compared all kinds of gear at all kinds of price points and this one was mentioned and it seemed like a good choice for me.
r/CampingGear • Recommend a sleeping pad: BA Rapide SL or something else? ->
