I can't speak firsthand for sleeping bags because I use a quilt. The one I have is made by Hammock Gear. I read many people speak highly of Aegismax sleeping bags which you can buy on AliExpress. I'm typically a side sleeper and prefer inflatable pads. I have a Trekology for warmer weather and a Gear Doctors pad for colder weather. I bought both on Amazon. I believe the YouTuber JustinOutdoors tested out sleep pads and found a nature hike one he was a big fan of. I have a handful of items I've bought on Temu and AliExpress which I love- daypack, long handle titanium spoon, titanium pot, ultralight scissors, inflatable pillow.

Gear Doctor Ultralight Apollo air should be on Amazon in your area.

I don’t think it sleeps as warm as its r value, but it is pretty close and for the money pretty good.

Gear Doctors Apollo Air has been fairly good to me.

Hmm. This seems like a good buy, at that price, 17oz and 5.2 R I wonder why I don’t see it recommend more. I watched a vid and it didn’t look super compact but the dude was showing the large (22oz). I like my xlite, which is lighter by 4 or 5 oz, but it was expensive. If I could spend less on something like this if I were to ruin my xlite, I’d maybe go that route. It looks “close enough” to me for a friggin’ 120 dollar difference in price. What’s the catch? 4oz but higher r, but higher R not needed, so 4oz?

It seems though that even if it’s R 4, if it’s otherwise a good product, that it’s like up for “best buy” in its class if its close in R to like an xlite, then you give 4 or 5 oz, but for 120 bucks. Interesting anyway. Thanks for the info.

I bought a sleeping pad off amazon like two years ago from Gear Doctor and it has a R rating 5.2. It's usually $85 but I got it during a sale and got it for $70. My husband has a $200+ NEMO pad and I find mine more comfortable. It's noisy but so is my husband's sleeping pad. I have a Gear Doctors brand Exped style pad that I got from Amazon on sale for $90, normally $120. I've never used an Exped, I have seen them at REI and while they seem better quality than my pad, my pad is still super comfortable and I can't imagine an Exped would be that much more comfortable. Especially for two times the cost.
