"I just put up with the pinholes and patching them on trail because I can't sleep better on any other pad. ... There's a huge difference in comfort depending on your body between the dimpled baffling of the Etherlight/Tensor and the horizontal baffling of the Xlite. ... I can't sleep on horizontal baffling despite all the good features of the Xlite. ... I'm a side sleeper and my arms and shoulders ache and/or fall asleep or go numb on the Xlite. For whatver reason I can only sleep on dimpled baffles (tensor, etherlight)"
"super comfy. ... And even me at 270lbs I can sit in my side and not bottom out (inflated a lot though)"
"definitely has improved our sleep quality a lot while camping ... boyfriend has back issues so a bad sleep set up is not really an option"

"Zero drafts, the mattresses bulge at the sides slightly and effectively seal the gap."
"You can throw two together and it's literally like sleeping in your bed at home."
"you can get some of their larger single person mattresses and connect them with the integrated low profile clips to make a queen size mattress. ... The Foamy pad clip system works really well and once covered with a sheet you can hardly tell there's a seam there."

"Definitely Hest for an every day long term sleeping system. ... Super comfortable"
"I sleep fantastic when I use it"
"My wife just upgraded us to a Hest and it was positively luxurious! ... The Hest, on the other hand, was about as good a night of sleep as I get these days. Zero complaints on the sleeping experience whatsoever; Cloud-like."

"they’re expensive"
"I will say I was not expecting the cost, which is equivalent to the cost of 990."
"Using my 5 pack of RBK50 series Orbis cost me the price of adding a UPS to each and now with 5 UPS units with aged failing batteries for each just a few years later."

"I had to return the etherlite after waking up with a sore back every night."
"I find horizontal baffles very uncomfortable."
"I found that it hurt my hips even when I let out a bunch of air (which compromised the r value even more)."

"it’s freaking huge to pack"
"Rolled up it takes up an insane amount of room inside."
"Squeezing/compressing them while rolling them up is tricky. ... They dont stay compressed, and fight back the whole way. ... I might be able to save a few inches in the girth of the roll by really fighting with it, but it hasn't been critical for me to do it."

I built my own platform that is half as wide as the one in the pic, and bought a Hest sleeping pad on sale at REI. The pad is super high quality. I’m a side sleeper and it doesn’t bottom out. I car camp for rowing regattas and also with my friends while they sleep in a tent. But, for $995, I’d say get the one you show! But, go with a Hest.
Hest is a foam mattress https://www.rei.com/product/203057/hest-foamy-sleeping-pad?sku=2030570003&store=15&CAWELAID=120217890017762363&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=147758269879&CATCI=pla-2055717823364&cm_mmc=PLA_Google%7C21700000001700551_2030570003%7C2055717823364%7CBA%7C71700000074421743&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_DTlw7EBcU5gShlwffsipEYK-oh&gclid=Cj0KCQiAz6q-BhCfARIsAOezPxkFDGKEKdPFVkMA4wACSXxcPiXV_Y05qU7Aw_nwif2sZGQw_e9LFrIaAqgLEALw_wcB
go try a Hest Foamy at REI if you can. They have a 25x64 and 25x78, neither is exactly what you need but worth looking at. I‘d think trimming 3 inches from the longer one wouldn’t be too hard.
We've been using hest foamy pads for two years now. We dont camp in hot (overnight highs above the 70s) areas. We visit those places when its cooler. At those temps a sheet or light blanket is fine. We do camp in winter (below freezing) conditions. So far the lowest we've encountered with them has been the upper 20s. With fleece sheets, down quilts, and a wind & water resistant synthetic insulated shell (as needed), its been comfy. The hest does firm up slightly when cooler, but my body heat (which my bedding traps) softens the foam sufficiently. I broke my back years ago, and this is the best sleep I've gotten camping. I've taken regular memory foam pillows camping that have gotten rock hard in cold temps, so I'm not sure what material hest is using to minimize the hardening. It could just be the heat retention by my blankets. For me, 100% worth it. They are bulky.
If you're willing to pay the price Hest makes some exceptional foam camping mattresses with durable, washable covers that let you roll them up relatively well. No queen size but you can get some of their larger single person mattresses and connect them with the integrated low profile clips to make a queen size mattress.
They are not cheap but we just invested in some [Hest](https://hest.com/?srsltid=AfmBOoodw8nMC_CtKmcVt_rzdwjW2uhotg--c8TyvKKmeS3CQnV5mOsS) 'foamy' mattress for car camping and they have been fantastic. The closest thing to sleeping on my foam mattress at home I've ever come with camping. They're well built, well designed, and come in a couple of different sizes. They can also clip together and once properly set up I haven't even been able to feel the seam between them. The best unexpected benefit has been because they're foam they don't transfer movement like an air mattress would so if someone has to get up in the middle of the night they're less likely to disturb their sleeping partner.
I have a [Hest Foamy](https://hest.com/products/foamy?variant=39596236177489) and a [Wheels & Feels](https://wheelsfeels.com/shop/car-kitchens/camper-kit-toyota-rav4) storage setup. I have done 3400 miles in a week while sleeping in the back and was great. I can use the Foamy in a tent when needed also. I have no desire for a RTT either and when combined with the Hest Dually it works great for two people in my RAV4. If combining sleeping pads I would recommend a custom fitted sheet vs hours designing your own clip to be 3D printed ;)
HEST Foamy... and bonus they'll be 25% off at the REI sale next week.
Hest. They aren't cheap - they take up space, but man are they comfortable. You can throw two together and it's literally like sleeping in your bed at home. I bought one of their comforters as well and is that thing nice. Never a fan of sleeping bags but their comforter did the trick.
They're not small - we have two - but are they comfortable. Also don't have to worry about them deflating. It take about a minute to roll it up. We manage to fit two in our Crosstrek Wilderness with all our camp gear, stacked.
Hest sleeping pad with a down comforter from Hest. It's big, bulky but damn it's comfortable.
I use a HEST Foamy long twin foam roller pad. It’s pricey but well worth it. I put it on top of my cot, combined with a good blanket and my co tour pillow and I’m good to go for a base camping bed!
I sleep on my side sometimes and my Hest works well for me.
I’ve done 6 nights of tent camping with my Hest Foamy, and so far I love it.
LOVE my Hest Foamy mat……it’s freaking huge to pack and they’re expensive but totally worth, in my opinion. I sleep fantastic when I use it and have done a couple long trips with it now.
Hest Foamy wide and you can buy two and connect them. They’re expensive and big to store but IT’S SO COMFY.
Hest Foamy Wide laid out in the back of your Jeep would be super comfy. They're bulky and little expensive but VERY worth it. I used one on the ground in a tent for awhile and it was the best camping sleep I got in a long time. I don't really use it much now as I have a RTT.
