Yes, the dually is technically a queen mattress but since OP didn't mention a truck bed or anything similar it didn't seem worth mentioning. They also don't pack down hardly at all. The Foamy pad clip system works really well and once covered with a sheet you can hardly tell there's a seam there.

I have a [Hest Foamy](https://hest.com/products/foamy?variant=39596236177489) and a [Wheels & Feels](https://wheelsfeels.com/shop/car-kitchens/camper-kit-toyota-rav4) storage setup. I have done 3400 miles in a week while sleeping in the back and was great. I can use the Foamy in a tent when needed also. I have no desire for a RTT either and when combined with the Hest Dually it works great for two people in my RAV4. If combining sleeping pads I would recommend a custom fitted sheet vs hours designing your own clip to be 3D printed ;)

I have several Expeds. Love them for different purposes but agree it’s nice to get off the ground. I bought a Hest foldable mattress for my sprinter. My wife likes it but I can’t stand it. Too soft. Always wake up with pain in my lower back. I just got the Zempire Monstabed. So far it’s my favorite. Higher up so you don’t need a cot and comparable in comfort to the expeds.

HEST brand 🤤 I don’t think I’ll ever need another sleeping pad. It’s memory foam and as comfortable as a bed. I have the double one but I wish I would have gotten the single size ones because they clip together to sleep two people and then could also be used individually.

Hest makes the most comfortable IMO but are more $$ and bigger and heavier. Great for car camping

If we car camp we use hest sleeping pads, they’re pricey but I’d say they’re just as comfortable as our bed at home. We place them side by side and put a blanket over top to cover the gap. They also hook together as well. In the backcountry we sleep separately because our inflatable sleeping pads move around too much, plus we like different firmness

Hest. They aren't cheap - they take up space, but man are they comfortable. You can throw two together and it's literally like sleeping in your bed at home. I bought one of their comforters as well and is that thing nice. Never a fan of sleeping bags but their comforter did the trick.

They're not small - we have two - but are they comfortable. Also don't have to worry about them deflating. It take about a minute to roll it up. We manage to fit two in our Crosstrek Wilderness with all our camp gear, stacked.

Hest sleeping pad with a down comforter from Hest. It's big, bulky but damn it's comfortable.

My wife just upgraded us to a Hest and it was positively luxurious! One caveat, It does take up a lot of space, especially when compared to even the thickest of the self inflating mats. We had been using two Therm-A-rest Luxury Map 3s, tucked together in a fitted sheet, which was serviceable, but just okay. The Hest, on the other hand, was about as good a night of sleep as I get these days. Zero complaints on the sleeping experience whatsoever; Cloud-like.

I went with Hest. Not cheap by any means, but I like my sleep and being comfortable and it fits the bill.

I don't know if cots with high R-value, but we typically use a warm pad on top of our cots in the winter and it gets pretty comfy at that point. Exped megamat is both comfy and warm, not on sale but that means you can use your 20% member coupon. If you're not a side sleeper, the REI campwell is also great for the money, it's just a little too thin for me in the winter as my hip gets cold when side sleeping. Hest is great too but packs super bulky so I'm less fond... The REI Kingdom Cot 3 is also super comfy with a warm pad on top, just takes up a big footprint in the tent

Definitely Hest for an every day long term sleeping system. Super comfortable and quick setup. No air to mess with daily.

I had an exped and it was fine. Then I got the Hest. Hest wins for me every time. It’s so comfortable.

Man, this is interesting. I like the HEST because it’s so quick to set up, but find it much less comfortable than an air pad.

r/overlanding • Just bought this HEST mattress. I no longer want to sleep in my bedroom because it’s insanely comfy ->
