I got the kilos last September after years of looking for a comfortable pad and i have no regrets. I'd been solely a hammock camper until I got this pad since any other sleeping pad I didn't find comfortable or couldn't pull the trigger on it due to cost (and noise). The kilos has actually converted me to being a ground sleeper with zero issues. Believe I was actually comfortable with it when I went to sleep. The sleep wasn't just "not bad" it was actually good. I chose this pad after having my choice rendered down to a nemo tensor through testing in stores. The tensor was the only one I felt truly comfortable with but the price was too much... The kilos gear felt identical to me and was thankfully much cheaper and a slightly lower r value felt better for summer camping given the update for the tensor. I've heard that for back sleepers it's not the most comfortable. However I'm a side sleeper so anything that wasn't at least 25" wide and 3" tall never worked for me. Its amazing to have a pad that can accommodate the space I needed to sprawl without a leg hanging off below the knee. Honestly everything about this pad works out well on paper and even better in real life. Having an included stuff sack is super nice. The r value is perfect for 3 seasons and 4 of you add a foam pad underneath. The 25" width is amazing standard rather than at a premium for price, more brands need to standardize this if I'm for real. The weight is unbelievably light considering the width and cost. Lastly packability is amazing as well. I've had so much love for this pad since I got it. You could honestly try this pad out for it's reasonable price and even if it's not perfect for you it'll support you through every trip until you can find the budget to get that ideal pad you want. TLDR for the price you can't go wrong. Pros -Comfort -warmth -packability -side sleeper comfort -extremely budget friendly -included pump sack Cons -may be uncomfortable for back sleepers

I have the Xped 5R... It's _very_ comfortable and warm (much much warmer than I would ever need if I didn't plan on going down below 5°c!). But it's a _little_ bit chunkier and heavier than I might like if I wasn't in need of the warmth. XLite is lighter and more compact, but significantly less comfortable IMHO, also very warm. Can't speak to the Nemo personally. My summer pad is the [Kilos Gear Aerocloud UL](https://kilosgear.com/products/aerocloud-sleeping-pad-ul) and I really rate it; comfortable, lightweight, compact, and honestly surprisingly warm still, never really even felt the cold until it got down below 0°c - & obvs _much_ cheaper than the other options you've listed. Comfort is a little bit of a personal preference based on your physique and sleep preferences; but I would certainly recommend the kilos gear pad. Sorry to give you even more options 😂

I went for the Kilos Gear AeroCloud. It comes in under 800g and I got it as I'm a side sleeper too. It's also wider than most. I've not had it long but it did have good longevity reviews. It's also has an R rating of 5.

Yes, I bought the large. I'll be testing it in the mountains of Saudi Arabia next weekend.

I like my Thermarest Neo-Air xLite. But am thinking of replacing it with a slightly heavier Kilos AeroCloud UL for more comfort and supposed durability. Plus I like that I can fill it with a lightweight pump sack.

I bought the aerocloud! I blew it up and put it my tent and it was already hissing, on my first use…. I put up 2 reviews on IG, both were removed within an hour! I would look elsewhere

For car camping, an Exped MegaMat. REI Camp Dreamer and there is one Amazon by LostHorizon. They all are all self inflating and combine memory foam with air. Backpacking, the new Thermarest Neoloft, Big Agnes Rapide of Kilos Aero Cloud pad. You can also try a mattress topper and/or closed cell foam mattress over what you have now.
