I have a TuYe 5.8R (Mummy) and I used below 0°C and on snow, too. - easy to use, little packed size, good valves. - noisy - if you move the whole forest hear that :D - not so comfortable, especially if you are a side sleeper. - proved insulation under 0°C, you can trust it. (Even the higher R rating variant, but that was enough for me on low body fat percentage). I own more Flextail products for backpacking, but none pads from them. Based on my experience I would choose Flextail instead of Naturehike.
Naturehike TuYe 5.8R 467g!
That's true. But you are looking in the budget section: it is ultralight, high R rating and budget category. You can't choose three things from price-quality-comfort trio.
Get yourself into Ali express and pick up the naturehike r5.8 for around £65. Packed size is 10cmx 16cm and total weight including the bag pump is 500g. That’s for the183cm mummy style , you’ll pay £10 more and gain 60grams for the rectangular one which packs down to 10x 18 cm or for another £10 there is a 196 cm length rectangular one that weighs 650gr and packs at13x22cm
I'm 1.75cm x 70kg and I use the naturehike 5.8r, I find It quite comfortable and warm. You can find it around 90-100€, sometimes less depending on the offers
Good budget sleeping pad: Naturehike R5.8 = 1100 nok Budget Quilt: Wind Hard Aegis Max Quilt = 1900 nok Also get the Flame Creed 15D Tarp to use it as a ground sheet. = 200 nok Total: 3200 nok for a 0°C comfort setup You'll find this on AliExpress
Budget king is the [Naturehike R5.8 Sleeping Pad](https://www.naturehike.com/products/tuye-r5-8-ultralight-inflatable-pad). Sleeping pads are here to keep you warm and insulate you from the ground. That's the one item you shouldn't skimp on.
Seconded, I got the 5.8R and it’s amazing. Was about 110€ and i love it. Comes in under 600g too!
Seconded. Been using it for 3y now. Has kept me nice and warm at -3C.
I’ve been using this naturehike mat for 3y now without any issues. I don’t feel it’s particularly loud. If I inflate it far enough it’s comfortable for me as a side sleeper and I’m quite heavy.
