Was it the wide version of the Xlite? I have an old, since-discontinued Xlite Max SV which is similar to the Xlite XNT Regular Wide - it seems to be both thicker and wider than the Xlite of old. Normal mummy sleeping pads are no good for me but wide ones are much much better for things like arms going numb!

The younger me did and I still find it comfortable enough for a few days.  It's what I used for years after changing from Z lite and flat CCF in the 2000s It's actually my second as the first one was replaced under warranty in 2010. Longest I've used it in recent years was for 6 days. But mainly I just use it for some summer overnighters these days.     Although it isn't near as comfortable as the neoair Xlite SV regular max  I  have mainly used since 2018.

I'm a side sleeper also. I have a NEMO Tensor wide, Trekology inflatable pillow, Enlightened Equipment Enigma quilt 20°. If the temp will be below 32°, I'll put my 50° Double Diamond quilt inside the Enigma. I'm very comfortable with this setup. I typically stay wrapped up in my quilt and grudgingly get out in the am when I can't hold my pee any longer. When I had a Neoair Lite I had to get up before dawn because I simply couldn't stand the discomfort of laying on it for another minute

I never bought the standard narrow ones, I would probably be constantly rolling off of it. I even got the max version of the termarest which has a rectangle cut instead of the mummy cut because I feel like it would be too tippy otherwise. Being exclusively a side sleeper.

Had slept on the S2S Extreme version current and previous model, the previous version of the Neoair and Xtherm with winglock and Exped Versa 4R. Hands down the S2S is the most comfortable pad then followed by Exped and last place is both Thermarest. Im a side sleeper and the Neoair and Xtherm i can't sleep well which sux considering their low weights. The newer S2S Extreme is close to my Xtherm so i take that instead in the winter. Yes its noisy (new and old, i didnt notice any difference but i dont have the older model to compare), so don't camp near people or tell them to camp far from you. I know someone that puts a cover on their pad but thats extra weight without any benefit for yourself.

The Thermarest NeoAir xl is the best by a decent margin. It’s also the most expensive! The Nemo Tensors are nice, not quite as comfy but my wife’s has a serious mild problem. For budget, the best by far is the Sea to Summit Ultralight. It was my favorite pad for a long time and I’ve worn out two or three of them on various trails and bike trips.  As for ccf pads, i wouldn’t recommended them for the AT. It’s actually the trail that made me switch to inflatables because of the shelters! They are nice when sleeping on softer ground but not enough cushion for hard wood.
