Trekology UL R7 on amazon, never got cold.
This was the answer for us. I got 4 cots and 6 sleeping pads and we had an afternoon of trying every combination to see which one was acceptable. Then I sold all the rejects on marketplace. She landed on an extra tall naturehike cot and a trekology R7 pad (but the Hikenture 7.3 was a close second). After trying all those pads, I don't think the brand matters as much as the design, the "dimpled" looking ones are the most comfortable imo. But the nicer brands do last longer. We've had 2 out of 3 trekology R7's develop leaks in under a year, which is a bummer because they're crazy comfortable. Meanwhile my big agnes pad is 2 years old and shows no signs of wear.
You can get the Big Agnes Rapide for $200 (https://geartrade.ca/products/big-agnes-rapide-sl-insulated-long) but Justin Outdoors seemed to like the TREKOLOGY UL R7 which is considerably cheaper on Amazon.
This is my first sleeping pad so no idea how it compares for comfort but I slept well on it over Easter weekend - Trekology UL R7.
I just got the Trekology UL R7 sleeping pad for my husband and I. Only slept on it one night but it was comfy. I’m a side sleeper. Trying them again Easter weekend so we’ll see. We got the Nemo Tempo bags. For my kids (about the same age as yours), we got the Big Agnes Divide because it fits in a sleeve for their sleeping bags (also Big Agnes) so they don’t roll onto the ground. We did pay more than some other stuff but we went fairly lightweight and compressable in case we try backpacking too.

Trekology ul r7 - doubt it’s a true 7 r value but it’s comfy enough for me and was much more reasonable than other brands.
I can't speak firsthand for sleeping bags because I use a quilt. The one I have is made by Hammock Gear. I read many people speak highly of Aegismax sleeping bags which you can buy on AliExpress. I'm typically a side sleeper and prefer inflatable pads. I have a Trekology for warmer weather and a Gear Doctors pad for colder weather. I bought both on Amazon. I believe the YouTuber JustinOutdoors tested out sleep pads and found a nature hike one he was a big fan of. I have a handful of items I've bought on Temu and AliExpress which I love- daypack, long handle titanium spoon, titanium pot, ultralight scissors, inflatable pillow.
