I second this! I recently switched to a zenbivy ultralight mattress, and I slept so comfortably, especially as a side sleeper. I previously owned a Nemo Tensor. It was okay, but I should have gotten it wide. I don't toss and turn, but my mind is more at ease if there's a little extra space, lol. That's a great idea using the nemo pad pump sack because the zenbivy pump sack does suck. I personally use a flextail pump for an extra 4.3oz, but I'll use the nemo pump sack next time!
I’ve got one of their ultra lite pads. It’s the most comfortable pad I’ve used that wasn’t self-inflating. I’m a side sleeper and prefer it over both my nemo quasar and nemo tensor.
Consider the zenbivy UL mattress. In the size you list it’s 482g and 4.8R. It’s also very comfortable and quiet. I bought the largest size, however. The extra weight is worth it to not wake up on the tent floor - I can’t go back to a narrow pad any more.
I debated these two and picked the Zenbivy UL instead as it rated higher for comfort.
I have the Vango Aotrom Thermo Platinum XL and it has lasted me for years in really low temps(-6⁰) obviously there's more to a sleep system than the pad to be comfortable in those conditions. I have recently moved to the Zenbivy Ulralight Mattress which has the relatively same R rating but way more comfortable from construction and dimensions.
I had the Vango Aaotrom Thermo Platinum XL for years and slept fine on that as a fidgety sleeper. Had it out at -6⁰C once and it handled it fine with a lightweight foam mat and decent bag. Just upgraded to a Zenbivy Lightweight Matress which is waaay comfier though and slightly higher R rated.
I got the wide/long version of the Zenbivy (being long/wide myself) and it is a great mat in my opinion. It's got good thickness, flextail compatible and I really like the baffle system it has compared to others. I can also atest to it's R rating as I have had it out in negative temps on my tent floor without a footprint and not felt any cold spots.
Im very comfortable with my Zenbivy ultralight pad. Granted I’m 125lb but some pads just don’t work for people. Try a rei helix sleeping pad. People say good things about them.
Holy Exped Batman! Might need to get one eventually, but atm my go-to when weight isn’t a factor is putting an extra thick (~1/2in) yoga mat under my neoair xlite. When weight is a factor I use a regular folding closed-cell foam pad under my clite or Zenbivy ul. It still mostly does the job, but isn’t quite as good.
I switched from a s2s eatherlight xt to a zenbivy ultralight and have quite enjoyed it.
I was sporting the s2s ether light and had to let so much air out. Got zenbivy ultralight fully inflated is wonderful. 200 pounds side to stomach sleeper. Seems to have a different type stretchy material.
Sea To Summit Ether Light XR (XT is the old model, definitely go for the XR it's lighter, warmer and pack smaller) is a great all-rounder, one of the best actually when it comes to comfort-weigh-pack size ratio. Other good all-rounders are REI Helix and Zenbivy Ultralight Mattress, both of these has very similar comfort but are slightly heavier. If you seek ultimate comfort there would be there competitors: Zenbivy Flex Air Mattress, ThermaRest NeoLoft and Exped MegaMat Ultra. Each of these are basically best of the class, which one would be the best comes down to personal preferences as each of them using different baffle construction.
Side sleeper checking in... In my search for something more comfortable, I tried the Zenbivy Ultralight mattress and I've been super happy with it however I sleep but mostly on my side. It's quiet too. My previous pad was the Nemo Tensor and it works pretty well too but I feel the zenbivy is easily more comfortable for me. Only negative is the pump sack that comes with it. It's surely convenient also being the stuff sack but it's small and I don't use a stuff sack for my pad anyway so I just use the pump sack I got with the tensor.
