I have the Arlo Essential Doorbell and it works with apple Home kit . It doesnt support home secure video but allows you to stream from apple devices such as your Apple TV. I am also on the look out for a battery operated front door bell that can be work with apple home kit but is also platform agnostic as well . I could try Aqara G410 , however , I would like to hear feedback on the unit. The reason for shifting the Arlo is because I am moving away from the subscription model which Arlo charges monthly/yearly.

I’ve got an Arlo doorbell camera. It does a descent job. My only real complaint is I got the battery one and I have to charge it fairly often and I miss the battery warning constantly so I’ve had it just be dead on me.

The Ring Battery Doorbell or Arlo battery doorbell work well with Home Assistant and expose button presses, unlike the Eufy C30 or C31.

I don’t know a thing about Eufy. I’ve been using an Arlo doorbell camera for about four years, and three of their outdoor cameras for seven or eight…and I just bought three more. I’ve been very happy with them.

Just FYI, I've not found anything completely european made in a similar price range, but have now ordered an Arlo camera. The company originally stems from the US, however, they sold their European branch to Verisure in Ireland (surely for tax purposes, but hey). The video data is saved on EU servers, doesn't need a subscription. Happy to report once its here.

It works. Better than the ring in my opinion.

I moved from Arlo to ring because I had a ring alarm and wanted it all in one system. Ring has really been great for me. And nice it’s all in one subscription. I enjoyed Arlo but they kept raising prices and losing features. To answer your question, it’s probably the easiest solution that will usually just work without issues. Eufy is a contender but I think there’s still privacy concerns there with them.

Ditched Arlo for Eufy. Arlo used to have free/ reasonable storage plans. Now it’s horrible.

Have Aqara, very good and very happy. Previously had Google Nest and Arlo. Nest was kind a good but lacked connecting to Apple Home, Arlo - totally sucked
