You can install an Arlo with a SD card in the base station. Don't need to subscribe.
r/AusRenovation • Battery Door Bell with No Subscription ->I believe most video doorbells have an angled mount for situations just like this. My current video doorbell from Arlo came with an angled mount in the box.
r/HomeKit • I need help with doorbell ideas (both type of doorbell and location) ->All Google Assistant doorbells do this. Open Google Home app, go to live view for the doorbell, ‘…’ icon top right, Settings, then turn on Voice Announcements. It explains exactly what what this option does on that page, which is produce visitor announcements on GA speakers which of course includes the Google Home Mini. Not really sure what the point of “proving” this is but here are some screenshots of this setting for the Reolink doorbell. It works exactly as OP wants, ie chime on a Google Home Mini when the doorbell button is pressed. https://preview.redd.it/ljjk8i5ddp8e1.jpeg?width=2358&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7adfd732599ad20e40fb70566a177af3b821aac0 I also have Arlo and Aosu doorbells on other properties which work in exactly the same way, also chiming to one or more Google Home Minis. This has worked for many years.
r/googlehome • Battery operated, non video doorbell which would chime through Google home mini ->I don’t know a thing about Eufy. I’ve been using an Arlo doorbell camera for about four years, and three of their outdoor cameras for seven or eight…and I just bought three more. I’ve been very happy with them.
r/Costco • Anyone have any thoughts on the Eufy doorbell? ->I moved from Arlo to ring because I had a ring alarm and wanted it all in one system. Ring has really been great for me. And nice it’s all in one subscription. I enjoyed Arlo but they kept raising prices and losing features. To answer your question, it’s probably the easiest solution that will usually just work without issues. Eufy is a contender but I think there’s still privacy concerns there with them.
r/Ring • Is Ring really the best? ->Have Aqara, very good and very happy. Previously had Google Nest and Arlo. Nest was kind a good but lacked connecting to Apple Home, Arlo - totally sucked
r/HomeKit • HomeKit Secure Video wired doorbell ->Not Arlo. They’re useless without the Arlo subscription, and they keep increasing the price and decreasing what is covered.
r/HomeKit • Can you Recommend a good HK Doorbell Camera? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
