I gave up on having mine running through HomeKit and just chose the eufy dual cam one because I already have other eufy cameras and I’m super happy with it.

I think what it basically comes down to is automation software on cheaper cameras is better because the camera is cheap eufy has better hardware but needs better programmers unless they restricting their programmers abilities to push more hardware onto market so they invest more into sales and marketing and research than they do development. They do have good ideas. Basically the best camera I have gotten is the solar PZT camera with the fixed and move able camera I'm able to cover so much ground with that one camera that originally needed like 2-4 cameras for the same coverage. It's in a good place and has the important area under surveillance with the fixed and the none important or Simi important with the rotatable. Dual cam doorbell is amazing can't argue with results. Iv had the same detected movement or human when there was none with wyze and ring so it's not like eufy is better or worse in that department I think the sensitivity is just cranked up to high for some people depends on the location and activity it sees to see if you need to reduce motion detection sensitivity. I do recommend the PoE cameras if you want super fast app load times for cameras compared to wireless wireless just makes placement convient. For the people saying their camera is missing humans depends if it's a lighting issue or a detection sensitivity issue or a power issue or a networking issue most cameras don't have human detection built in or Ai built in to make that determination so it has to talk to the base to ask the base is this a human base says yes but too late for it to register cause it's not built into the camera and the event didn't get logged in time due to network connectivity issues.

I've had my dual doorbell and Floodlight cameras for about a year without a single problem. I think they work great.

For the actual dual-cam feature, the only ones I’ve seen are Eufy and a couple from Aqara. But Eufy can be a real pain to integrate without their homebase, like you said. I've heard mixed reports about getting RTSP out of them (or any usable stream for Frigate/NVR), so you might be stuck with their app/eco unless you’re okay with workarounds/hacks.

Yeah, totally agree. My Eufy doorbell was great out of the box, but once I tried to shoehorn it into my Home Assistant/Frigate setup, it was just headache after headache. The “RTSP soon” promise seems more like a running joke at this point lol. I keep hoping we’ll get more options that actually prioritize local/NVR support, instead of everyone just doing their own locked-down thing.

If you really want to avoid monthly fees, you might want to check out the Eufy Video Doorbell. I switched to Eufy a while ago, and it stores videos locally on the included HomeBase, not in the cloud, so no monthly fees at all.

I had an Amazon discount for the Ring doorbell, so I bought it a few weeks ago. Surprise, a massive disappointment for how Amazon requested a plus subscription. I have returned and take an Eufy 320 with homebase 2, much, much better

That matches what most people run into. Dual cam doorbells exist, but usable local streams are the weak point. If someone wants Frigate first, Eufy usually ends in frustration.

Right now the options are limited if you want true dual cam plus local recording without subscriptions. Eufy has the hardware you want, but you already found the problem. Their ecosystem fights Frigate and NVR setups, and RTSP support is inconsistent. It works only if you accept hacks and breakage after firmware updates.

OP, I have hade great success with Pro 2C homebase doorbell and cameras at home and a remote location. It is a aolid product.

Eufy ... hands down the best ... I have tested at least six manufacturers. With Eufy, I have expanded and now have doorbells and cameras at two locations, units in stock for other uses and in case I have to replace, and the phone app is the best...hands down. I use ProC2 homebase and cameras. You will need to have internet.

I have to be battery only and went from the Dual battery wRadar capability to the E340 battery w my Homebase3. All I can say is the E340 may be great for the battery swaps BUT the prior is 1000 % better for true detection. The swappable batteries run out so fast (month +. Without the radar the E340 get so any false motions it’s unbelievable they left it out of the newest model and I have no wires to keep charged. I set my E340 to lowest motion and set privacy+ zones to no avail. If any of your doorbells are near a street do not get the E340 get the prior w Radar…. longtime Eufy battery doorbell user here.
