I have a Eufy battery doorbell cam and another cam over my driveway with a solar panel charger. They connect to a hub that also chimes. I have no complaints. Vastly better than Ring, in my experience.
I'm also team Eufy. I have a 2C Pro overlooking my driveway. I also mounted a solar power panel to keep it charged, even set for optimal surveillance. It has been very reliable and responsive. I also have a battery doorbell (T8210) which is pretty good. Sometimes it fails to detect motion and it is slow to start recording. Videos of delivery people sometimes start with them walking away. I think wired would be a lot better, but my house has no doorbell wiring to use. It still performs better than the Ring I once had.
Another Eufy owner here, wireless doorbell connected to the hard wired home base to store the videos. Helped me find out some scrote tried to nick my Christmas decoration outside the front door.
I just did :) In my mind it was 3 euro per month with a deal for the yearly pay (30€?) But I saw the new bill starting from 15-9 and it was €100 per year. (usually I don't look at bills) Fortunately my nest doorbell broke down, got a refund and ordered a new one a week ago. So I returned the new one and canceled subscription yesterday. I went for a eufy with homebase 3, homebase about price of 1 year aware pay so it pays for itself :) Video quality is also a LOT better! In EU was a deal at AMZ, €50 off for each device. No brainer for me :)
I used the Eufy Video Doorbell 2K for a while and found it pretty solid. It's wired, so no battery hassle, and it delivers clear live viewing and night vision.
I ended up using the Eufy Security Video Doorbell 2K. While it still needs wifi for remote access, its wired design means no battery issues and it records continuously with local storage.
Another former Eufy owner here! Mine was rechargeable and wireless, used the hardwired homebase inside for storage. I moved to a flat where I don't need it so now my parents greatly enjoy watching the postman drop off parcels, it works really well for their needs especially the limited detection area as they have a footpath outside
Eufy - the one with the home hub for remote storage - fantastic bit of kit. Gave mine to my rents when I moved house and they love it too
Im happy with Eufy, and with central base storage, it will integrate with other cams as well as use AI to track a subject across cans, and stitch a complete cross-cam video.
Mine are local, stored on homebase
\+1 for the Eufy, I've had mine for years and it's never failed me. The ONLY issue I've had with it is since updating the home base it gets announced as "Someone pressed the A750294BNH063490" for some reason instead of saying "front door" :-)
Reolink, hands down. No subscription fee, well supported and comes in POE, WiFi (powered) or WiFi (battery) versions. Also, has platinum home assistant integration if you're a nerd. I love mine. Have had it 2 years. Video quality is also brilliant. Had a Eufy battery WiFi doorbell before that and I found it awful. The wired versions of the doorbell (WiFi and POE) have pre-record so will show you footage before an event acually happens. No battery doorbells have this feature as it would kill the battery
I found the video quality from the doorbell to be quite poor. I bought the very first Eufy doorbell that came out so it's possible that there's a better one on the market now. I was impressed by the connection time from the app to the doorbell video stream though. It was far quicker than any other doorbell I've seen from ring, reolink etc.
I have 4 Eufy cameras, mostly bought before the troubles a few years ago, though one in the last year. My ca. 2021 doorbell had the lens fall off right before the end of the warranty. Eufy sent out a replacement promptly. I have specifically chosen not to put any of their cameras inside my home but have not removed their cameras from my exterior (and as stated above, have added an additional). Their app is perfectly fine, save for the occasional annoying popup or overlay to buy more cameras. Their security concerns and lies don't make the cameras any worse or better than any given Wifi Camera made in China and storing/processing videos in the cloud, but they do make them liars. I have enough belief that my stuff is primarily local to the Homebase but I never can be (and never was) perfectly sure.
