Their wired 4K video doorbell is absolute trash.

Stay away from Eufy - I've had nothing but problems with mine. It fails to pick up movement many times, even when the subject is walking straight up towards the camera, the intercom system stopped working so I can't speak to the people through the doorbell, and it throws false notifications based on my neighbor's roofline from across the street. But then sometimes it will pickup the cars driving by the house, so it's fickle.

Sorry buddy. I am happy with my P24 and E40 cams but that damned doorbell, what trash.

Mine doesn't have a battery backup and doesn't require the HomeBase system. On paper I liked it for the local storage and access of videos, without a monthly fee. In practice, woof.

That's better than a whole network for sure! I'm actually pretty happy with the continuous Eufy system I have in place, but the detection settings I saw on a recent YouTube review were wildly better than what I have, so I'm tempted to at least test the waters.

Have the Eufy 24v wired version. It won't connect to 5ghz wifi, only connect to 2.4ghz. So right now it's a brick.

Eufy only works on 2,4ghz and not 5ghz wifi. That is the version that I bought.

I used the Eufy Video Doorbell 2K for a while and found it pretty solid. It's wired, so no battery hassle, and it delivers clear live viewing and night vision.

I tried using a wired Eufy doorbell for its live view and night vision, and while it does great in those areas and stores recordings locally, it’s not really designed for 24/7 continuous recording.

I ended up using the Eufy Security Video Doorbell 2K. While it still needs wifi for remote access, its wired design means no battery issues and it records continuously with local storage.

I like the eufy wired doorbell. I had one of the older more original brands of doorbell cams, and the hot afternoon sun fried it after about 6 years. The eufy seemed a good replacement, and we’ve been really happy with it for 4 years.

I use the PoE version at work and other than a delay of several seconds that hasn’t improved permanently with updates (was fine at first after an update) but now it is back to ~4 seconds. Not a fan of my Eufy wired at home that won’t let me pull directly from it!

I've got a eufy and I really like it. The wired version allows you to pre-record up to 4 seconds, so you get clips that start before motion triggers the recording, which is nice. Sometimes doorbell cameras miss the start of something important. My parents have a reolink and the app kinda sucks. I can't remember all my reasons for disliking it, but the big one is that you can't set motion detection zones for the camera. My parents have a flag on their front porch so they have dozens of clips per day that just have the flag waving.

I've had the wired doorbell for 5 years now and I have 6 solar cameras around the outside of my house. I bought the homebase3 from them and bought a 2tb ssd so my stuff is stored locally. The doorbell gives me a ton a false positives because of my tree. It's basically only good for when people ring the doorbell. I love not paying a subscription though and the solar cameras have actually kept up. I don't keep them in my home because of security concerns from the company, but I'm being real here all our info is leaked anyways

I have a solar cellular s330 for a year in extreme temperatures zone range is +85 to -25. So far so good. Sometimes it takes two tries to reach the camera to view the video but the notifications all seem to come through. Cell service is the pits so I was surprised it worked at all. About 3 months installed a wired doorbell and it has been working fine. This one replaced a nest doorbell also wired that turned out to have a battery that gave out....
