Get another doorbell. Theres many without a chime, for example Netatm, which can even connect to your dumb chime inside. That is if you have cables to the gate of course. PoE could also be good
I’ve been using Netatmo for 3 years now. I use it through HK only and disable the native app features. It’s wired which I think is a must and it uses an old chime box (or HomePod) to ring. Only negative would be no wifi6

I’ve twice had to contact them for spares (moved, broke components) and they overnighted them for free, from France, because their customer support is that good.
Don’t bother with subscription for doorbell.
When I got my 1st doorbell and options was extremely limited and got netatmo HomeKit doorbell cos no subscription but I wouldn’t recommend them cos too many issues last few years.
I will be moving to UniFi lite doorbell soon and I already have their cameras and NVR.
There are more options now for doorbell without subscription like Aqara, reolink, eufy, UniFi, etc. not all are HomeKit compatible but they all are smart doorbell without subscription.
