I went with the ring, and it worked well for me. I was torn between a few, but this might help you decide. https://kalodynestudios.com/relax-and-feel-secure-upgrade-to-the-ultimate-ring-battery-doorbell-for-lasting-safety/

It is a noticeable improvement especially with the camera. I went from a 2nd gen to the battery doorbell plus and it’s much more of a broader picture of my front door than with the 2nd gen version

I got the Ring. I read this site's review and decided to get it over Eufy https://kalodynestudios.com/relax-and-feel-secure-upgrade-to-the-ultimate-ring-battery-doorbell-for-lasting-safety/

The battery Plus has those new features, but the wired Plus still does not.

I had a problem where the battery Ring would randomly disconnect from wifi. I live in a tiny apartment with a router near the ring. All the wifi tests showed enough strength when standing next to the ring with the door closed. I called Ring customer service and they sent me a code to order a Chime Pro for free. The rep said it had to be the Pro version not the regular Chime. I haven’t had a problem since. Maybe try calling customer service to see if they can help you out.

I have a battery doorbell, and I only have to charge it once a month if that.

Mine is stuck onto bricks using command Velcro strips on the standard mount. It’s fallen off once in 2 years and I put a new strip on it. Held really well previously on wooden boards. Sure it’d be easy to steal, but good for renting.

The wiring will charge the expensive ring doorbells and it will use the old ringer/bell inside. The cheap ring doorbell works of batteries only and you need to buy a new chime/rining speaker for the house.

The extra pixels of the plus basically account for the wider FOV

Minimal difference in image quality, you'll notice the extra fov for sure - but biggest reason to upgrade would be for replaceable batteries, if yours already has that then eh, unless you want to see your doormat id say not much point.

Think all of the ring doorbells do outside of there cheapest model ... Which is the model everyone buys cause great deal, then a year or two later realise the battery thing is a pain in the ass and end up buying an upgrade.

Yep, that's the upgrade I made and my only regret was buying the original one. .... I've now moved to an Eufy E340, the detection is massively superior it never goes off for no reason & while less FoV compared to the Plus the image quality appears better, but I find people ringing the doorbell my Alexa's etc are slower to respond. Overall though I liked my Ring Doorbell Plus and if youre happy in the Ring ecosystem it's a solid purchase and swapping batteries is way more convenient.

All I can say is, I tried the Ring Plus and the Aqara G4 and both were unuseable as a way to interact with anyone at your door, by the time it connects, they are long gone.
