Yes - but all of the battery doorbells should see more than your doorbell 2 - the battery plus and battery pro look better than the battery doorbell 3rd gen.

It's unfair to compare, but before Reolink, I had the Ring Doorbell Plus 3 Wifi right beside a dedicated AP. I spent dozens of hours over four years bikeshedding configurations to make it work, at best, less than reliably. That taught me a hard lesson: Wifi + cloud-based is hell for reliability. Now I'm aiming for wired + local wherever possible in my setup, and if not, at least local. Devices that required internet connection to work are banned here. Not because my connection is unreliable (it's not), but because I don't want to depend on these companies' servers.

I had the Ring doorbell cam 2020 version for a long time, luckily it picked up a Uhaul hitting my girlfriends car and ripping the entire front end off. They did not stop and kept on going but luckily my Ring picked it up and Iwas able to call the cops. Recently decided that I no longer wanted to pay a monthly fee and purchased a Eufy E340 doorbell cam. After 3 days I returned it. The app is not as user friendly, loads videos much slower as it has to encrypt every single video you open. I also noticed it missed a lot of motion, like the range isn't nearly as good as my Ring doorbell cam. It missed even more motion at night. I ended up buying the Ring Doorbell Pro after returning the Eufy. I maxed out all the settings on my Eufy and still it just was not as good as my Ring. Im ok with paying 120$ a year for the fluent app experience Ring offers. The slider where you can just endlessly scroll through video after video makes it extremely nice. If the Eufy sensed motion and I clicked the notification to open it, it would take forever to pull up the motion that is currently happening. My Ring takes like 2 seconds to open and I'm able to see pretty quickly what is happening. Now that I have the Pro version too, I am able to just swap batteries instead of removing and charging the entire doorbell. A knockoff replacement battery only cost 15$ on Amazon. I would have to say I'm pleased with my upgrade and probably wouldn't buy another Eufy product again after that experience.

We get 3 months before we have to charge our ring doorbell

My ring battery lasts 3 months without charge. You can also buy the solar panel which you can mount above the ring if you don't have an existing doorbell wire to keep it charged and then you don't need to unscrew it to charge. You can also adjust the "fence" on your ring so it doesn't pick up road traffic if that is an issue. Mine did initially get set off by the bin truck but I adjusted it and now there is no issues.

So many thoughts on this, and a few folks here have hit some great points already. Here is my 2 cents. For video doorbells, I'd skip both Blink and Wyze and go with the Ring Video Doorbell (battery version) since it's more reliable for security purposes and has better motion detection zones. The free trial is 30 days, then it's about $4/month CAD for basic recording. Since she's ground level, I'd also throw in a door security bar or wedge alarm for inside - they're like $20-30 and give actual physical resistance plus a loud shriek if someone tries to force entry. A motion-activated light for that ground level entrance would be huge too, as most break-ins are crimes of opportunity and good lighting is a serious deterrent. - Hope this helps.
