Tapo D210, look no more. Works really well, battery lasts 3 to 4 months on a single charge, no subscription fee as video gets stored locally, zero complaints for $60 They even have a slightly expensive version but this gets the job done beautifully. https://us.store.tapo.com/products/tapo-2k-smart-battery-video-doorbell

Tapo D210. It is the battery version. I forget model number but they have an identical wired version if that is your thing. It’s amazing and comes with a chime. You can score them between $45-100 depending on model, where you buy from, if there is a deal, etc. Also NO SUBSCRIPTION, only requires an SD card. Subscription only gets you gimmick AI features. Mine detects people, pets, cars, zones, line crossing, baby crying, tampering, many other things all for free with just local sd card Can keep it ENTIRELY LOCAL if you set up your LAN/configure WiFi properly to keep it from talking to the internet, or many other options

SO the D210 is better

I just moved and can't drill either, I bought a tapoD210 and this mount was really slick. [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FN757G7Q?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FN757G7Q?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title)

Another happy Tapo D210 user, here. We liked ours so much we actually got a second one to put on the back of the house to keep an eye on the garage. One of the big selling points for me is that it’s rechargeable rather than relying on batteries like the Blink doorbell it replaced.

Tapo D235 (£80) + H200 Hub (£30) + microSD card. Or the Tapo D210 (£40) as a cheaper alternative. No subscription needed and a great piece of kit in my opinion. The hub sits inside your home so even if someone rips the doorbell off and runs the footage will be safe, it also supports a few more cameras and all Tapo's range of sensors if you ever need them. Battery life is pretty good as long as you tune the motion detection well, especially if you live on a busy road, barely an issue if not though.

I use a TP-Link Tapo doorbell cam (a D210). You can use a microSD and it gives me all the notifications I need (zone detection notifications, etc.). It'll ask you once a month if you want to subscribe to their cloud storage but you don't need it and I just click to dismiss it.

Yes you can set it to only notify on doorbell presses... it has its own doorbell button and it's a distinct and separate notification option.... but you can also define the exact area within its view to detect people so you can avoid detection on the pavement entirely.

Tapo d210 160* FOV, no $, running 2 years 👍, added a solar panel to eliminate the needing to remove to charge. It's less than $50
