Wyze - [https://www.wyze.com/collections/video-doorbells](https://www.wyze.com/collections/video-doorbells) Love their cameras. Plus a lot of features are free unlike most other camera companies out there.

I have recently gone away from the Arlo wired for the exact reasons you stated. Further, I switched to Wyze based on getting a v4 as a test. The new Wyze wired cam is worlds better than the Arlo was for me! That being said, I wish I had gotten the dual cam Wyze doorbell. I did NOT realize it could also be hardwired. Same, in addition to the wired doorbell cam.

I made the exact same switch about 8 months ago and honestly no regrets. The Wyze doorbell is way more responsive - like night and day difference compared to Arlo's garbage lag times. Only complaint is the motion detection can be a bit touchy sometimes but you can dial it down in settings. For the price difference alone it was worth it

Card slot is exposed so someone can steal it. Then doorbell is slide onto its mount so someone can steal the entire thing. It detects trees but also misses people. I made a custom point and card slot cover but now need to remove them to troubleshoot as the doorbell is no longer allowing me to see past events recorded on the sd card

I second this and will add that all of their cameras are great. Went from foscam to Nest to Wyze and now I've found peace with tpLink/Tapo.

I have a Wyze doorbell. You need a working internet to notify the cell phone, but the ring on the physical chime is done locally and doesn't go over the internet.
