Bose - 550 Dolby Atmos Wi-Fi Bluetooth Soundbar

Just bought it. Definitely a sweet deal!

Is the 550 really not that good? Ive only used tv speakers before this so to me it feels like an upgrade and I really can’t compare.

You can connect your PS5/Computer via Bluetooth to the Bose. If your monitor supports HDMI ARC/eARC that is a good option too.

Sadly these bars really need a subwoofer to compliment them. The 900 (my main tv unit with the rear speakers) is awful without one, 550 oddly enough sounded fuller out of the box.

order it and try it out as it can always be returned if the deal's still going on, it does have up firing speakers but it looks to be more centered. The 700 doesn't seem to have them, but I dunno how much it really differs. I'm decently happy with mine for $200.

Get the 550 to test out, return the one you're not as pleased with :)

Got a Bose 550/600 recently and was impressed how Much good clean sound it puts out.

 Our store had it in clearance for $199 and was reduced to $149.  I bought it. It took me awhile to figure how to set it up with the music app. I replaced my Bose 2.1s series 3 speakers (that were over 10 years old and distortion were creeping into the bass) with this soundbar. A bass module would go a long way in bringing this along. I didn't notice much of a change between the center, treble, and bass changes. For the money, I can't complain. 

That is not true. 550 has atmos.

Yeah wondering if I return the 700 and get the 550, I read somewhere that 700 is a 2019 model… and yes the connection with my tv wasn’t super smooth either. Remote looks fancy but I don’t need that many buttons!

My cleaners accidentally broke my 700 so I started using the 550 I ordered through Walmart. I’m generally very happy with the speakers. I’m using the soundbar in my gym room and it seems great! I also like the size of the soundbar, 700 was heavy

I have the Bose Ultra and it is indeed excellent for dialogue. It’s a bit more than what OP is willing to spend though. The lower model (550/600/Smart) is also quite good. I think for Black Friday the 550 was selling for about $200. I tried the 600, Ultra, Q990C, Arc Ultra, Beam 2 and ultimately kept the Bose Ultra mainly for the dialogue clarity.

I got the Bose S550 soundbar with Atmos on sale for $150 and for that price.... I'm really impressed by the sound. It's got just enough bass for my 2nd floor apt. So the sound is rich, but I'm not pissing off my neighbors. I know it doesn't compare with full setups, but for my small space I feel it's ideal. Also upgraded from an 11 year old Samsung soundbar so the difference is night and day.
