Bose - Bose Soundbar 500

Yes! I am pretty impressed. Before I had just a Bose 500 smart sound bar. Did not wanna pay the Bose premium. Crazy how big a difference it makes, I have been watching all my favorites.

With a room that size, I recommend the 700. The 500 doesn’t produce the same low frequencies and may sound boomy in a room that size. The 700 produces lower frequencies w ease, has better definition and quicker attack. You can turn the sub power output down and retain all the frequencies and definition. I have the 500 and 700 in different rooms. I use the 700 in our larger room and the 500 in the smaller. The 500 works in the bigger room, but tends to get boomy because it’s more mid bass frequencies bounce around the room. The 700 fills the room with no boominess.i currently have the output level set to -20 and it sounds great.

Bose soundbar 500 with subwoofer. It’s insane! But unfortunately, not under $500 or even equal.

I have both Sonos and Bose . I have Bose 900 Bose 500 and Sonos arc and playbar. Both have their pros and cons but based on Sonos edging out Bose on sound quality and the app I used to recommend them more based on software alone. I was close to upgrading my whole home to Sonos until the app update that caused all the headaches. To this day the app is terrible and the soundbars have so many issues connecting that I don’t even want to use it anymore . Say what you want about Bose but the app is basic and it just works.

I have the old Bose 500 and I’m actually very happy with it. Have you checked your dialogue volume in audio settings? 

I have a bose smart ultra/700 bass/surrounds, a bose smart 900/500/surrounds and q990d q990d blows the bose always except in bass….bose wins bass easily but it’s bananas…all other audio comparisons the q990d waxes both bose systems… eventually, they’ll be replaced by Samsung models as they improve the base… The 990 F wasn’t what I was hoping for… Hopefully they’ll make one more. I can use two subs at some point. Anyhow, the Q990 D/F is bananas and the best sound bar on the market hands-down… No question…
