I went with Creative GS5 soundbar. It’s cheap but it’s totally fine for basic usage - mainly for listening music and some casual gaming (usually playing Diablo IV), gets pretty loud. The only thing I had to do is tune EQ a bit to get that sound that I prefer, because it sounds a bit flat out of box.

I know the general consensus here is usually "just get speakers." But for those of us with space constraints, or who just plain want a soundbar for simplicity's sake, finding a decent, budget-friendly option can be tough. I struggled to find good recommendations beyond "don't buy one." So, if you're in that boat, I wanted to share my experience with the Creative Sound Blaster GS5. It ticked all my boxes: sits on my desk and fits perfectly under my monitor, was fairly cheap (under $100), and looks decent. **Volume:** It gets surprisingly loud. I rarely crank it to full volume when gaming or watching movies. **Sound Quality:** Overall, the sound quality is pretty decent with a nice bass response. The surround sound sometimes genuinely impresses me with how good it is even with me sitting just a few inches from it, though it's not consistent. **Build:** The main unit feels sturdy. The side buttons and dial feel a bit cheap, but they work fine, and I don't use them much anyway (awkward position). And the rubber feet are enough to give it a slight upwards tilt and keep the whole bar in place. **Convenience:** The remote is a great addition. Has a bunch of input ports and an output port so thats a plus. Works with the Creative app for windows. Compact from and surprisingly light. **Minor Annoyances:** The display light can be annoying in a completely dark room, but I block it by propping my keyboard in front of it, so all good. **RGB:** The RGB light at the bottom has a bunch of modes and looks good (no discontinuous lighting). Honestly, given the sheer lack of budget gaming/pc soundbar recommendations for people who simply need one, I thought this perspective should be out there. It's not going to replace a full speaker setup, but for its purpose and price, it really delivers. Hope this helps someone!
