Best quality in clarity is devialet but not sure if there is a sub woofer to buy. Samsung is ok but one sub or woofer goes bad you have to buy the whole thing again (based on experience with one) sonos is pretty good and you can always replace the speakers for rears and subs or soundbar plus can add more to the home for a full absence sound in the home and possibly outside backyard anf host bbq or family parties. So something you can build and add to an ecosystem definitely sonos and is really good quality. (I have a sonos arc, sub 3, ones, and sub mini with beam) best quality in sound for a soundbar is devialet. Other brands are ok but Samsung is a closed system bose is kinda complicated and wants to be like sonos

I am not a great fan of surround sound. sets (sb+sw+rs) i tried (sonos, samsung & dione) sounded underwhelming and gimmicky. I prefer dione's sound signature to sonos's. dione's bass is thunderous - rivals a soundbar+subwoofer. Looks absolutely amazing. If u'r family hates all the audio gear, this is an excellent one bar solution. Balanced sound.

These would be my only considerations, in this order: 1. Devialet Dione - there is a reason why it has no sub out. **The only other soundbar that tops the Dione is a B&O Beosound Stage. This is the endgame in soundbar. Or the Premier but we're talking over $5k at this point. 2. Sennheiser Ambeo Max - you don't really need a sub. 3. Sennheiser Ambeo plus - skip the proprietary wireless sub and use a wired sub with this. (The best bang for the buck) 4. Marshall Heston 120 - skip the sub 200 and get a wired sub. *The only other option that I will include in this rarefied list is the KEF Xio. The rest of your options do not belong in the same league.

Yes, the Dione and Max are that good. The Beosound Stage is even better! For wired sub, you can't go wrong with a SVS. I use a (cheaper) MartinLogan Dynamo 800x but that is *plenty* to go with my Ambeo plus.

Looked at that brand, it cannot hold a candle to this setup.

You ain't never getting no recommendation besides samsung in these sub reddit. Just tested soundbar from b&w and sonos yesterday and I do have to say that I sonos does not fall short of anything. You wouldn't go wrong with sonos of you just want a bar or an all in one solution, but for a real king of all in one solution would be the Sennheiser ambeo max or somewhat the kef xio or even the devialet dione. Yes, I have tested all these soundbars and would only recommend the ambeo max and the dione because they are superior to the kef xio in centre channel clarity and much superior sepration and immersion.  If you want the best package solution, then the best is samsung q990f if you want a sub in the package of you don't care about the sub, then sony quads really just beats all😂 and is the closest system to the sonos arc ultra immersive set. I'd say, if I ever make switch from sonos I'd go for sony as they also launched their new sub9 or sw9 sub which has the same concept as sonos, dual 8inch inwardly opposing drivers. Yet to test it but feels like it's going to be worthwhile.  Lastly, if you want a system you want to build down the road, for example buying a soundbar today and then buying perhaps a sub or surrounds a few months later, then sonos is unbearable though I recommend trying out the lg sound suite too but the connectivity problems with that is certainly quite alot and I do think after looking at various brands apps, the sonos app is indeed very much full of information when compared to others and to me is very smooth so I implore you to not worry about anything regarding the app! In conclusion, the best all in one solution is the ambeo max or the dione, the best package soundbar is the samsung q990f, though if you don't mind buying only the suh seperately then it's the sony quads all the way, and to conclude, the best gradually building system is either the sonos or the lg sound suite. Wish you best of luck! Hope whichever system you purchase lats 15+years and works flawlessly 😊

I have the same room area and went with the sonos ultra setup since it was significantly better than all the setups you mentioned up here, yeah and i tested them in quiet dedicated rooms for those sound systems. Although not the jbl, sonos completely beats samsung and Bose when it comes to quality and immersion. though i would recommend you to go with sony quads or bravia bar 9 with rear 9 with their new sub 9. I'd go with sony if aesthetic is not an option since you also have a ps5 too, it has special features for ps5. Regardless, you wouldnt go wrong with either sony or sonos, though Samsung is quite there too but bose? stay away from it, my cousin bought it and he regrets it because of multiple connectivity issues along with software issues and subwoofer issues. if neighbours are a big concern then go with sennheiser ambeo max, it by itself performs way too good, its the best soundbar i have tested along with the devialet dione. if you want to add a subwoofer to the max, you can add 'any' subwoofer to it via cable. In conclusion, sony would be my top pick followed by the ambeo max then the samsung since you have blu-ray, if you are watching from tv and not the blu-ray or dont want dts-x or dts-hdma formats, then the sonos is really hard to beat.

Thank you for your many detailed messages! By any chance, have you ever had or listened to the Devialet Dione soundbar (which I own)? I’d love to get your opinion compared to this one, since it has astonishing bass for its size!

Sound bars will never be true surround, but can do a damn good job. We have used the Devialet Dione, B&O Stage, but both are a few years old I have a Beosound theatre l, which is arguably the best on the market, but bought it before prices went stupidly high

Q990D is definitely and absolutely not even remotely close to, "the best out there". Not sure where you're getting your info from but the Legacy Audio Legacy Soundbar, the Bang & Olufsun Beosound Premiere/Theater, the Bowers & Wilkins Devialet Dione, the KEF XIO, and the Senheisser Ambeo Plus/Max, all destroy the measly Q990D and it isn't even a competition.
