"The Thieaudio origin have a very rich and well defined bass. ... Instead of "loud" bass I'd define them more like having depth, definition, detail. ... There's more punch and presence in each sound, like the feeling you get in your guts when you can feel the sounds at a concert. ... I have both. Two q990d both purchased after having the JBL bar 1000 for a year In my ears the bar 1000 is clearly inferior Bass is heavier in the JBL but to me it sounds cheap or overpowering most of the time With the q990d I feel is better in every way But I do feel like I needs bit more oomph If I was Best Buy I would try to move my JBL bar 1000 stock, the q990d will sell on it’s own
r/Soundbars • Help Me Decide: JBL Bar 1000 vs Samsung Q990D Soundbar ->I had the jbl bar 1000 and I enjoyed it. Switched that out for Sennheiser, didn’t like it, got the Sonos arc ultra sub 4 and rears, didn’t like it. Got the q990d and I freaking love it.
r/Soundbars • Best $1000 soundbar system for music and movies? ->Probably get eviscerated for this but went to NFM Black Friday with the full intention of buying the Samsung 990 or 800. Walked out with the JBL 1000 for $599. To me, it was more impressive than the Samsung line and less $. Sales guy said it was priced wrong? Anyway…surprised it’s not mentioned more. (I prefer big theatre bass though) My only mistake wasn’t getting the 1300 for an extra $200 but my wife would’ve killed me.

r/jambands • Best couch tour soundbar ->A Samsung would be better than a TCL, even the Q800F or D. Sony is nice, but not worth the price. I recently had a theatre bar 8 and sw5 sub for about 1700, not worth it for what I got. LG is pretty cost effective, but their bass has always been lack luster. So if bass is your main priority i would get a JBL, like the 700 or 1000
