"A good robovac is a life changer. Even a $350 basic S8. It is a great place to start. ... I promise you that you will not be disappointed by a basic S8. It will change your life even if it can't fit under every piece of furniture you own. ... My two S8s just finished vacuuming our entire house in about 46 minutes. ... While my floors were being cleaned, I sat comfortably on our patio in the cool shade with a slight breeze and composed my far too long response to you while sipping a diet soda and relaxing. ... I will have to spend about four minutes maintaining my two S8s. This will be my entire contribution to my home floor cleaning effort for today. Four minutes!"

"Like 500$ these robots are currently the steal of the century ... You can get a mova p10 pro ultra (cannot remove its mops), equivalent to the l40/x40 for 500$ after a discount code"

"I got the Q5 Pro for $139. ... costs $450 less than what I paid for the S6 ... it is the best value option out there imo."

"Noble fokus rex5 best sounding change my mind. ... Five drivers per ear bud game changing for sure ... Yes, you're so right. They are by far number one. ... There may be a few airbuds that get better battery a little bit, better ANC but right now my two cents worth, there's nothing on a planet that sounds better than these. ... I have all the heavy hitters. The techniques 80/100 Sony 4 and 5 sennheisers 3 and 4 and the Devialet gemini II. ... Ronontech on YouTube did a review on the Aviot a few days ago. I belive he liked the Nobels better. ... Also on YouTube, check out Flossie Carter review on the Nobles, he went absolutely nuts. Best sounding wireless earbuds he has ever heard."

"As for gaming I'd probably rank them 1. A50 ... As for music I'd rank them 1. A50 ... And for movies I would rank them 1. A50."

"these fifth generation A50s sound better than anything I’ve ever used. ... New DAC, new Graphene drivers, really nice sounding."

"The Thieaudio origin have a very rich and well defined bass. ... Instead of "loud" bass I'd define them more like having depth, definition, detail. ... There's more punch and presence in each sound, like the feeling you get in your guts when you can feel the sounds at a concert. ... So it's not only for 808s but also for instruments like bass guitar etc. ... There's little details you wouldn't be able to hear in tws or regular headphones. ... The origin on the other hand has "high quality defined bass" instead of an artificial "bass boost". Kinda like having subwoofers."

"Dialogue and bass are perfect and have mine set to 0, so I can't imagine you would have an issue."

"Bass definitely not a problem I always have to lower the sub volume because I’m scared it’ll piss off the neighbours."

"I got the JBL 9.1 and it ’s awesome. ... The JBL I have am has wireless surrounds too that with the sub is perfect for movies and music"

"detachable rear speakers ... detachable, rechargeable rear speakers in an awkward space I have where I can't really have a big speaker setup and permanent rear speakers. ... loved it for the... detachable, rechargeable rear speakers"

"JBL Bar 9.1 with rechargeable rears, put them back when she is around!"

"Super easy. ... Took about 20-30 minutes"

"It plugs right into the power source for the lane assist and hides inside the housing for it so I can basically just forget it’s there until I need to grab a clip."

"Dream to fit as it connects to existing "safety eye camera" around rear vision mirror. ... Took 5 minutes. Could do it in one minute next time."

"if you don't have audio playing for a while (say, 10-15 minutes plus) it probably won't resume any playback until you either turn it off and on, or change output device and change it back. ... Twice I've had that issue, HyperX technical team has been able to reproduce it, and quite a few people on /r/HyperX complaining about it"

"about once a week I'll go to watch something and the sound drops out and speakers disconnect, and the only (temporary) fix is to reboot my router."

"Q990b, at least some older units had issues with dropping rears/sub I think."

"At one time I had the JBL 9.1 BAR that sounded really well outside of dialogue in a movie."

How are you liking it for just normal TV watching? Yeah that’s what I’m hoping for as well. Only seen some sponsored shorts posted. Lol I had the JBL 9.1 and loved it but had a crackling sound. Had to start looking and got the Q990C and sounds amazing but I do want a normal looking living space area where the rear speakers aren’t always out. I found a way to make discrete but still. How are you liking the design and color? Picture wise looks shiny sometimes. Weird question but what are your thoughts on the sub feet?

The “measurement” I use when I get a soundbar is how it sounds for everything I watch, listen and play. A lot of soundbars excel in one but not as great as the other. After it’s the sound quality and bubble it creates. Sonos excel at all of those. Sony with their soundbars that I’ve personally listen to were great at times and others just sounded very off. I did have a JBL 9.1 and loved it after which I had a Q990C. I personally think the tech Sonos uses produces the most cinematic sound where I’m glued to the content and not listening to the sound. This does not mean the other options are bad and at the end of the day it’s going to come down to the sound you like. But I’d say Sonos is one of the best soundbars and system you can get.

The only person that has to like your sound system is you. I have a JBL 9.1 sound bar system.. I think it sounds fantastic and it has impressed everyone that's come over. You're very unlikely to have an audiophile come over and start chewing you out. You got a very nice sound system. The truth is you would have to shell out a decent amount of cash for full sized speakers and put some holes in your ceiling to get appreciably better

I own the 9.1 and have for over a year now. It sounds great and I have the sub set up behind my couch and it does the job. The sound from the bar is decent and it does a good job of sending the sound around but I find the detachable surround speakers to be a slight annoyance. You have to remember to put them back each day or they will die, so unless I'm watching an epic movie or some mind-melting music I leave them attached. It is nice to be able to position them in any formation though. My friend has had 2 of the Q series and they are superior quality but also twice as expensive. In my bedroom I am using the LG S60TR 5.1 system and it might be the room acoustics but it sounds better to me. It has the wireless sub like the JBL but also has 2 wireless satellite surround speakers as well. I run the sound bar under the TV, the sub along one wall, and the surrounds are on each side of the bed. These are an amazing amount of sound for the money ($250 USD) and in most practical applications the 5.1 is more than sufficient.

Really its personal needs. I looked into it as my kitchen tv needed a SB so I thought I'd move the JBL9.1 in there and buy a HT setup. But at the time, I wasn't dissatisfied with the JBL when watching movies on the G3. Having the flip the smart mode off every time, and the less than excellent speech clarity isnt ideal. But its not that bad Opportunity cost. I wanted to buy a nice car and start saving for a motorbike. Which trumped my desire for a HT.

As someone with the 9.1 as well, I can't wait to upgrade to something that actually allows me to hear dialogue.

You’re getting downvoted because Reddit gonna Reddit, but you’re right. I’ve had everything from that cheap Vizio (it’s crap don’t buy it, though I’m sure it’s better than Amazon’s) to a JBL 9.1 and a Nakamichi. The next time I clearly hear a height effect will be the first time. I thought I did hear it, but then I tested myself with a blind a/b, and I failed. So that was confirmation bias. Everyone has different hearing. So maybe it’s me. Either way, I’m saving for a full system with receiver and heights installed in the ceiling.

JBL 9.1 or similar with detachable rear speakers. We just put them on the top of couch when we wanted to use them

Not been my experience with a Bose soundtouch 300 and a jbl bar 9.1. I would assume those two are worth a heck?

appreciate it! As far as budget, I guess 1800 or so because im leaning towards the sonos ultra arc and their new bass. that would cost me roughly 1800 plus tax. Ive had the smaller Bose sound bars and right now have the Bose Soundtouch 300. At one time I had the JBL 9.1 BAR that sounded really well outside of dialogue in a movie. On a different thread, Im being recommended a KEF 3.1 system with a receiver but man Im just not sure what she is gonna say, lol. Maybe i need to clarify with her, because i believe what she said was "Im not having speakers all over the living room". 3.1 system would be just on one wall, HA!
