I have a 6 year old lg 65 inch and I had Sonos soundbar and it wasn’t anything great
Now i have a Jbl bar 9.1 that I use all the time without any complaints .. the bass rumbles just enough so it don’t drive you crazy
I don’t see any reason for an upgrade anytime soon
The goobers on this sub will demand you get a Samsung 900 series but any decent bar with rears and a sub (meaning a good manufacturer not fancy looking temo Amazon crap) will sounds way better then the TV alone. I have a jbl 9.1 and my room is wonky and it's sounds good. The speakers are movable so you can play around with what is most imersive
You’re getting downvoted because Reddit gonna Reddit, but you’re right. I’ve had everything from that cheap Vizio (it’s crap don’t buy it, though I’m sure it’s better than Amazon’s) to a JBL 9.1 and a Nakamichi.
The next time I clearly hear a height effect will be the first time. I thought I did hear it, but then I tested myself with a blind a/b, and I failed. So that was confirmation bias.
Everyone has different hearing. So maybe it’s me. Either way, I’m saving for a full system with receiver and heights installed in the ceiling.
