I have a 6 year old lg 65 inch and I had Sonos soundbar and it wasn’t anything great Now i have a Jbl bar 9.1 that I use all the time without any complaints .. the bass rumbles just enough so it don’t drive you crazy I don’t see any reason for an upgrade anytime soon

How are you liking it for just normal TV watching? Yeah that’s what I’m hoping for as well. Only seen some sponsored shorts posted. Lol I had the JBL 9.1 and loved it but had a crackling sound. Had to start looking and got the Q990C and sounds amazing but I do want a normal looking living space area where the rear speakers aren’t always out. I found a way to make discrete but still. How are you liking the design and color? Picture wise looks shiny sometimes. Weird question but what are your thoughts on the sub feet?

The “measurement” I use when I get a soundbar is how it sounds for everything I watch, listen and play. A lot of soundbars excel in one but not as great as the other. After it’s the sound quality and bubble it creates. Sonos excel at all of those. Sony with their soundbars that I’ve personally listen to were great at times and others just sounded very off. I did have a JBL 9.1 and loved it after which I had a Q990C. I personally think the tech Sonos uses produces the most cinematic sound where I’m glued to the content and not listening to the sound. This does not mean the other options are bad and at the end of the day it’s going to come down to the sound you like. But I’d say Sonos is one of the best soundbars and system you can get.

Lol bet my jbl 9.1 sounds just as good, and I get rears 🤣

I'm a jbl guy, 9.1 or 11.1 are my favorites but the app support leaves a bit to be desired in these older models 🤷

The goobers on this sub will demand you get a Samsung 900 series but any decent bar with rears and a sub (meaning a good manufacturer not fancy looking temo Amazon crap) will sounds way better then the TV alone. I have a jbl 9.1 and my room is wonky and it's sounds good. The speakers are movable so you can play around with what is most imersive

Really its personal needs. I looked into it as my kitchen tv needed a SB so I thought I'd move the JBL9.1 in there and buy a HT setup. But at the time, I wasn't dissatisfied with the JBL when watching movies on the G3. Having the flip the smart mode off every time, and the less than excellent speech clarity isnt ideal. But its not that bad Opportunity cost. I wanted to buy a nice car and start saving for a motorbike. Which trumped my desire for a HT.
