r/Soundbars • Anyone tested the JBL Cinema SB595? ->Mine sleeps after 15-20min automatically -- ill have to push power button on the remote ...thought it was some auto sleep mode that I can't figure out how to turn off
r/Soundbars • Anyone tested the JBL Cinema SB595? ->Just used to watch the f1 movie on Apple tv. Incrdible
r/Soundbars • Anyone tested the JBL Cinema SB595? ->Haha it was my test movie and it passed
r/Soundbars • Anyone tested the JBL Cinema SB595? ->Thanks! Based on your write up i got it on Saturday night, and tested it out by watching the F1 movie. Was incredible
r/Soundbars • Anyone tested the JBL Cinema SB595? ->So I picked it up from Costco. It sounds good but it goes unresponsive. It won’t respond to the button sensors on top nor the remote after a while. I had to unplug the power cable and then plug it back. Then I tried going from Netflix to YouTube and it would turn back off. The sound would work but I would have a way of controlling it anymore. So again I had to unplug and plug it back in. Then I was just watching YouTube again and the same thing would happen. I’m returning it today to see what else there is.
r/Soundbars • Anyone tested the JBL Cinema SB595? ->just bought one at costco. I connected via the supplied HDMI cable as recommended and the audio lags the video. A quick call to jbl support and this one has no way to sync it so back in the box it will go.
r/Soundbars • Anyone tested the JBL Cinema SB595? ->I just stumbled upon this thread to see how others are liking these. I picked one up yesterday at Costco for a small basement space. Out of the box very easy to set up, not much for documentation but not really needed. Easy to unbox and setup, I hooked up via Bluetooth to start but quickly changed it over to optical and then HDMI so I can control everything with one remote. First impressions for a cheap soundbar/sub are very positive. Did not expect it to rumble nearly as loud as it does. I ended up taking apart my sectional and putting the sub within the base box of the corner cushion and man was that a great idea. As others have noted, the base is pretty strong for a little driver. I actually have it on -1 as I'm usually sitting directly on top of the sub. Overall, I'm super impressed with the quality for the price. I'm also super pleased about the indicator lights on the front of the unit turning off while in use. Only leaves one small spec of standby light when off. Only downside is there's not a ton of sound tuning options, but honestly if you're just looking for a simple setup, it's pretty great.

r/Soundbars • Anyone tested the JBL Cinema SB595? ->Just want to thank OP and others in this thread for the information shared. Was really helpful as I just bought this soundbar. I was going back and forth on whether to get this or the Samsung QS700F. The QS700F has a good deal on Woot right now so the cost difference would have been roughly 100 between the two soundbars. However I think bang for buck this JBL soundbar is pretty impressive. I have an LG C5 and the soundbar was instantly recognized by the TV, for those of you who also have LG OLED. The TV remote controls the soundbar just fine and the volume increments goes up by 1s. Just make sure that you have Simplink enabled and CEC. I also tested this with the Onn streaming device and the sound is good there too. Doesn't sound distorted or tinny. I think others who posted in this thread provided good feedback on this soundbar. The only thing that worries me is the longevity/durability of it. I read reviews from older JBL soundbars about overheating issues, but one thing about this soundbar is that the rubber stands allows good airflow underneath so that's reassuring.
r/Soundbars • Anyone tested the JBL Cinema SB595? ->Has anyone tested or found any reviews of the JBL Cinema SB595? It seems like a direct competitor to the Samsung Q600C and Q600F and I’m curious how it stacks up in terms of sound quality since the specs are pretty similar. You can check it out here: [https://www.costco.com/p/-/jbl-cinema-sb595-312-channel-soundbar-with-true-dolby-atmos-and-wireless-subwoofer/4000411774](https://www.costco.com/p/-/jbl-cinema-sb595-312-channel-soundbar-with-true-dolby-atmos-and-wireless-subwoofer/4000411774) It’s also listed on JBL’s Brazil website: [https://www.jbl.com.br/SB595.html](https://www.jbl.com.br/SB595.html) UPDATE I found this great Black Friday deal and I just went ahead and got it. I've been using for a few days and let me give you my impressions: 1 - I do NOT have experience with other soundbars so I have no idea how it compares to others in terms of sound. My parents have an old LG 5.1 home theater but I haven't used it in a while. 2 - First impressions: The soundbar feels/looks pretty solid. The bar itself is kinda a fingerprint magnet but I never touch it after setting it up so it's fine. The subwoofer looks super solid and discreet. The speaker faces the floor so it's pretty much a black wooden box. 3 - Super basic instructions. Set up guide is very shot. Good thing it's easy to set it up. You turn it on, put it on bluetooth, it finds the subwoofer, then you change to HDMI eARC and it connects to the TV. For a minute I thought there was something wrong with the soundbar or the tv but then I realized I hadn't turned on CEC on my tv (duh!). Silly mistake but decent instructions would have mentioned that. 4 - Using it is great and very straightforward. It turns on and off with the TV (if you're using eARC) and you can use the tv remote to control volume. You just need the soundbar remote to play around with bass, treble, change inputs (which you can do on the bar itself) and sound mode. 5 - The display is awesome. Looking for a soundbar I wanted one with a display and I was very right about that. It's much better! So useful to see all the changes in volume, input and sound mode. It also shows when content is dolby atmos or surround. The info just stays there for a couple of seconds so it's not a distraction at all. 6 - The first movie I watched on it made my neighbor complain about walls shaking. I think this says a lot about the subwoofer lol I asked chatGPT to suggest me movies on Netflix that would be good for testing atmos on a new soundbar and it suggested 6 underground. It's a silly Netflix movie but it was perfect for testing the soundbar. Explosions and loud noises during the whole movie. it sounded great on the SB595! Bass was insane on 0 (it goes from -3 to 3), atmos was super cool, the soundbar definitely managed to give some height to it. It was not like things were coming from the ceiling but you can surely tell they were higher than most. JBL is famous for their intense bass so I'll probably use it -1. 7 - I normally leave it on the movie mode but it's better to change it to music if that's what you're listening otherwise bass can be too much even at -1. 8 - I was curious to know what the upfiring speakers would do during non-atmos content. They do not just sit there idle, they are used even if it's just stereo or surround (5.1) content. The soundbar seems to do something interesting because I could tell it was not the same stuff playing on the upfiring speakers that played on the front-facing ones. For example, I watched this dolby surround football (or soccer) match and it seems that the soundbar played the noise coming from the supporters on the upfiring speakers. Pretty cool. Commentators were mostly on the central speaker so their voice was cristal clear. 9 - I tried to register it but this specific model was not listed in the options given at the JBL website. Pretty strange, hope they fix that soon. Idk what's up with this model but it sounds great. 10 - To conclude, I'm pretty happy with it. Even though I don't have experience with other soundbars, I think this one sounds excellent, and using it is pretty straightforward. It's even better considering the price I paid for it (40% off). I think I've covered all important aspects but just let me know if I've missed anything.
r/Soundbars • Anyone tested the JBL Cinema SB595? ->A couple days ago I was looking at thus soundbar and was researching trying to find info. It is super rare and non existent. I ended uo buying it and using it today so I thought I would post my thoughts for any others that might be doing research on it... This is my first soundbar so please take that in to account. My wife and I have been starting to use the living room tv more so thought it was a necessity. I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile but a bit of an audio snob for sure. Going around testing the different ones available at Costco and Bestbuy I originally was looking at the Samsung for $200 but found it very lacking in bass and coverage (sounded clear but underwhelming). The Sonos Ultra was without question better but of course that is waaaay more expensive. As a whole I found it for sure as the best bang for buck so I pulled the trigger. Setup was easy but lacking in support. I mounted it from the bottom of my TV mount. When I went to scan the quick set up QR code it took me to JBL's website but it said "information not found". I'm guessing it is because it is so new. The instructions were also very underwhelming with 2 pictures. 1 on how to connect soundbar and sub (plug in sub then turn on soundbar, that easy) and 1 with 2 steps (a step with a diagram for using the wall mount and a step for plugging in to the TV and another device if needed). Luckily it isn't rocket science. Once everything was mounted and plugged in I turned on my Samsung TV (58in from like 2020, not sure the model) and it immediately was sensed and started working. The bass is very impressive, I placed it about 6-8 feet away and during a Marvel movie I could feel it still vibrating our couch. On normal 0 setting it was perfect. It can go + or - 3 for bass and treble. Bass felt great on 0 and treble I didn't notice a huge difference other than making the whole thing underwhelming if turned down. Had no issues with lag. I did have it twice while watching the movie sound would cut out for half a second the ATMOS words would pop up and then it was fine. My guess is that it is TV related since I've had issues with it processing slow over the last year or two. It has a dedicated music option which turns the bass down and puts more emphasis on the voice clarities and sounded good. Overall impressed with it at the moment but if I change my mind or have any issues I'll update this. Hope this helps someone...
r/Soundbars • Anyone tested the JBL Cinema SB595? ->So about two weeks ago is when I got it. I am still quite impressed. I find ourselves actively wanting to use the TV more than just watching something on the tablet due to the much nicer experience. The bass is ridiculous. Even with it not touching anything and being beside the couch about 7 feet away I can feel it vibrate the couch on normal levels. Turning it up I feel would have to be for bass heads. The sound kicking out I believe was with Disney plus only and haven't had issues with other Apps. So I'm guessing the issue is with a software/app communication for Dolby Atmos. If Atmos is off there is no issue on Disney plus and with it on it has no issues with any other Apps. Could maybe be a JBL issue since it is newer and maybe needs a firmware update or something but I'm leaning towards Disney plus and the fact my TV is Covid/Pre-Covid and wasn't expensive even then. We used it for music on YouTube also and it sounded amazing. She hasn't used it on her phone yet but I'm expecting that to happen soon since cleaning day is coming up lol. If anyone has any questions of anything specific just let me know.
r/Soundbars • Anyone tested the JBL Cinema SB595? ->So I was able to pick up this JBL SB595 from Costco for $239 + tax today. Quick start guide is pretty much useless since its pretty easy to setup. You have to guess the remote buttons since it has no labels and no instructions came with it. One thing I noticed for obvious resons I guess is Dolby Atmos is not supported via Bluetooth and will only work via HDMi-ARC. Haven't tested with optical yet so I can't comment on that. Bass is super loud even if its set to zero (0). Dialog is clear and no delay. I mean for the price were paying think its worth it. One thing to note that if you buy this and try to register, the product name SB595 won't show up from their product list, guess because its not available in the US yet (except Costco) so keep that in mind. The closest product name listed during registration is SB590 and that's what I chose. Anyway hope these helps. Durability? Time will tell.
