Currently using the MK2 700 and it’s pretty good so I would weigh in saying the 1300 would be ideal between the two.
I can’t express how happy I am with the 700MK2. I absolutely love it. The wireless rear speakers really made the decision easy due to an open floor plan in my house with no floor outlets. Sounds amazing and super simple.
Depends on the room and where power is available. Sonos is good, but overpriced and limiting to that brand. I just got the JBL 700MK2 and love it. Surround speakers are rechargeable and can be used independently. No wires, added to smart home easily, and sounds great. So versatile. I replaced my Nakamichi shockwafe 7.4.2 and love it.
I had the 7.2.4 and the wires to the rear were an issue in my room, the connectivity with subwoofers were shaky. Good home theater sound, music was just ok. Functionally it was really cool but remote is needed. I replaced it with JBL 700MK2 for wireless rear and much happier with sound on both tv and music and lack of wires because of my room setup. I put wall mounts on tripods to configure atmos. Bass is deep and enhances at low volume too. Easy setup, good app, and remote control is small, simple, and not necessary to use all the time. I Love JBL/Harmon speakers.
This is a solid system if you can find an open box one... But after hearing the JBL Bar MK2's in person yesterday and having previously owned this Polk system myself, the JBL Bar 700 MK2 is the better deal new vs new by miles ($900 vs $900). Now considering you probably won't find the JBL for under $700 unless it's missing stuff, I would say the Polk is a good deal if you find one for max $550. If you love bass, you might be disappointed by the Polk. The JBL sub will be stronger with deeper bass & a lot more powerful overall.
Ya I demoed The JBL 700 and 1300x and they were both excellent for music as well as movies. Bought the 700. I also listened to the Yamaha favorite, good for movies but fell down on music. My opinion.
It’s supposed to be, but I don’t think it produces enough love and bass, it’s also much smaller than the 990D’s sub. At loud volumes it’s fine, but I’m not always up for listening to music or movies at max. I have a JBL Bar 700 and the bass on that is MUCH better
A Samsung would be better than a TCL, even the Q800F or D. Sony is nice, but not worth the price. I recently had a theatre bar 8 and sw5 sub for about 1700, not worth it for what I got. LG is pretty cost effective, but their bass has always been lack luster. So if bass is your main priority i would get a JBL, like the 700 or 1000
I did, but returned it. One (non-incentivized) review of the Q75H described the sound as muddled which TCL compensates by playing louder. This is true of the Q65H as well. TCL loves to pay people for 5 star reviews. I bought a JBL BAR 700.
I'm very happy with the JBL Bar 9.1 soundbar system with wireless sub and wireless rears. I'd buy another JBL Bar product if I needed one, like the Bar1000 or Bar700 with Multibeam 2.0 ATMOS.
