LG - LG S90TY Soundbar

I have a LG C4 55" tv and I want to get a soundbar for it. I have a pretty good deal on LG Soundbars so I narrowed my options to this brand. I use the tv in a small gaming room and I won't add surround speakers. I sit 60 inches (1.50m) in front of the TV and I use it mostly for gaming. I love the Synergy bracket from the SC9S and I really like the idea of not having to worry about the soundbar covering part of the tv. However, the S90TY seems (vastly?) superior. The SC9S is slightly smaller (which is a plus), but the S90TY is a 5.1.3 system. Do those 2 "lateral" extra speakers of the S90TY really help on having a better soundstage? One one hand I like the idea of having "the best" soundstage I can get for a 55" tv in relatively small room, on the other hand I think the SC9S might be more than enough since I sit close and overall the integration with the tv might be sleeker. Help me decide between one or the other. Thank you!

I found a very good deal on the S90TY. It's a superior soundbar and I found it cheaper than the SC9S. At first I was thinking about getting a synergy bracket by searching for replacement parts, but in the end the bar doesn't block the tv - It would only block it if you sit parallel or below the bar level - and it looks nicer.

I got the lg s90ty soundbar with woofer and backspeakers. sounds great to me. I just wanted wireless and surround for movies and that i got. (speakers are connected by wire so only one powercable needed) Calibration is needed, I tried this worked out great. was a campaign deal here so i got it all for 500 euros. Had the s90ty for a while. with woofer and back speakers. Calibrated, drop subwoffer and middle speaker on soundbar to lowest value, run ai calibation. once ai calibration is done adjust settings to ones own like. I got one due to campaign so I just paid around 500 euros. tremendous value at that price, really happy with atmos and movies. Its almost fully wireless, back speakers are connected to a cable but its easy to hide behind sofas. have a oled 55i c4 and works great with TV sound and s90ty LG app works well also The new h7 sound suite coming from LG is the better option but it be more expensive also for a full set.

Had the lg s90ty soundbar, woofer and speakers for a while works great. app works flawlessly. The new LG sound suite has speakers made by *peerless*. if you want the best sound, **receiver system is the go to.** but also add usually a lot more cost especially if you want wireless. DTS tc.. isnt needed in todays media world where its streaming more and more. Anyhow, I am likely to upgrade to the LG sound suite in the future as early adopters always pays a premium. people listening initially on the lg sound suite was impressed I paid 500 euros for my setup as it was a campaign here and cant say i would think paying 5x more in my case for sonos system would made me happier

Bought LG s90ty, been very happy with them watching movies (dolby atmos). soundbar, woofer and speakers there are always die hard people to be fans of specific stuff. if you have money, receiver and speakers and such is better. but if I had to go that route I was looking at 6-10x more money for little benefit. I just wanted dolby atmos, wireless and I got that.

got the s90ty a few months ago, happy with it. but good to know upgrades exist :)

I bought the S90TY model here in Brazil, but it doesn't have the rear speakers. The subwoofer is very good, and even the front speakers on the soundbar are impressive. I'm switching from a home theater system with a receiver to a soundbar because I moved from a house to an apartment.

Yes the S90 is a very competent soundbar. The sub is pretty great on it as well, definitely pick that one up.
